CHAPTER 17: THE VERA PROBLEM

After finishing the food you have bought, we immediately went hand in hand, feeling the breeze that hit our faces giving us a chill together. The fragrance of flowers and the carefree sounds of children playing echoed around, creating a beautiful atmosphere for precious moments.

We chatted with enthusiasm, sharing our stories and experiences. I was fascinated by the intelligence and warmth in every word that was spoken through her lips. Our conversation flowed naturally, blending in with the boisterous sounds of the playground.

Vera manages to forget all her problems and focuses herself on our date. The smile that was emitted by him, as if to say that he really enjoyed it.

We tried the games with passion, supporting each other and encouraging our feelings for each other. It feels like we are back as kids, forgetting the world around us and focusing only on the fun moments of play.

Some of the games we try one by one, such as one of the children's games that Vera wants to play, namely fishing games with plastic filters. He seems to want to play that game. So I decided to play with him.

Her behavior is adorable! I can't believe I can see his funny behavior that he rarely shows. I don't know, I might be lucky to see it. His failed behavior in catching small fish, made me laugh thinly. In fact, I can't even hold it anymore.

"Why are you laughing, Indra!" Vera exclaimed in annoyance.

"Hahaha, it's okay. Looks like this game's too hard-"

But when I say so. A child who, along with his family, can catch so many small fish.

"Maybe it's just that we're less adept at this game" I told him as I walked back a few steps.

"Alright, then, let's find another game!" exclaim Vera gave a suggestion.

Thus, we continued our journey in search of other games.

Eventually, the sun begins to be on the horizon, giving it a gentle glow. Time passes so quickly, and I don't want this moment to end. However, I realized that we both had to go home.

"It looks like we should be home soon!" advice to him.

"True, let's go home!"

Immediately I grabbed his hand and led him out of the amusement park. Afterwards, I took a bicycle and drove her home.

With a very soothing atmosphere of silence, we went away from the amusement park.

In the end, we reached the place where Vera's house was. To be honest, his house was not too far from school. So I took him and immediately went home. It was an exhausting day, but also a lot of fun.

Tomorrow is the day I'll finish my business with Vera!

The next day…

Now is Sunday, the day I'll help Vera solve all her problems.

Dressed neatly, I set my foot on the outside world. Well, although it sounds very poetic, but what I mean is that I'm heading out of the house. We had an appointment to meet at the park in the city center, because the house was not far from there. To be honest, the park was also not far from where I lived. And from that, I got there quickly. It only takes about fifteen minutes to get there.

There was clearly the face of a girl who was no stranger to me. I seem to be late to arrive early…

For that, I need to apologize to him, for requiring him to wait.

"Yo, Vera! Have you been waiting a long time?" many ensure.

"T-not really. Then let's go!" take Vera with you and show her the way we're going.

On the way to his house, I saw a dark cloud gathering somewhere. As a sign that it will soon be raining heavily.

For some reason, I feel that all natural events that occur must be related to the disaster that I will experience. Huft... I honestly don't want to care too much about it!

For now, I will prepare my soul and body to meet his parents. Though the one who should have done this is Ryan, but it was me who was affected. Although I was a little annoyed by that, I would still help him.

Thus, after a long walk down the narrow alley, we arrived right in front of his house.

Dag. Dig…

Maybe it was the sound and the vibration that made me nervous. Honestly, if I remember, I never went to a girl's house that wasn't my family. I don't know, maybe I'll try to calm down.

"All right, let's go in. My parents seemed to have been waiting in the living room," he asked while holding my right hand, dragging me inside.

The door began to be opened by him, making the tense atmosphere rise so drastically.

It was seen that a man and a woman were sitting pensively on the sofa with their faces pale as if they had no life. It seemed like they had been at the highest point of disappointment as a good parent.

"P-Excuse me pa-"

Before I could finish my speech, the man denied it by cutting off my conversation by saying, "Sit up!" with a pretty firm tone.

My heart is beating harder, as if I can't help it. Really, I feel very uncomfortable. Even though I have prepared my mentality, I still can't do it!

Without a word coming out of my mouth, I immediately sat on the sofa that was right in front of them. The look in his eyes was really piercing right at the target.

"Go to the point. Why did you make my son pregnant?!" ask the father with a grim face.

"Well, I don't know either" I replied spontaneously.

"ANSWERED IT RIGHT! I HEARD FROM HIM, YOU FORCED MY SON TO DO IT!!" the father shouted so loudly that he hit the table.

Such a violent blow, made my body tremble in fear. Sweat began to flow from the hair to wet my entire body. What a tremendous pressure! I don't even know what to answer.

"T-No…"

Maybe that is all I can throw my mouth out. As if, all that pressure had me bound by an extremely strong iron chain.

A few seconds after, before I could explain everything that happened. The father stood up from his couch and walked closer to me.

Without warning, he punched her with a fist until I bounced off.

"THIS IS YOU!!"

Not only that, I was even beaten continuously using a wooden stick that had been provided by him.

"Mas, I'm sorry, people's children!" sahut the mother, compassionate.

"HE HAS MADE OUR CHILD PREGNANT! I HAVE TO FINISH IT!" annoyed.

"Pa, it's pa!" Vera.

"AH!! SHUTUP!! GET OUT OF THIS HOUSE RIGHT NOW! AND NEVER SET FOOT HERE AGAIN!!"

After the heated conversation, I was evicted from her home. With a feeling of disappointment, accompanied by a few patches of blood that were splashed from inside my body, I walked down the hall aiming to return home.

The rain started falling. The wind blew hard to hit some of the cloth in the houses. The fog began to cover part of the area.

Though I just want to help solve the problem, why am I the one affected!

Damn you– Ryan!!

While I was walking without direction, because the fog was so thick that it covered my view. I can only predict the direction of my movement.

Until unknowingly, I was in the middle of the highway where the vehicle was speeding. Sure enough, a truck was speeding right in front of me. Unable to run away from it, I hit the middle of the truck and bounced away.

Blood started flowing from inside my body. I could only wait for my death when the truck ran away after hitting me. Huft...a really shit day!

Maybe it's time, I end my life…
