The dizziness on his head had not subsided yet.
It's early morning. The night light glow he used to see from the glass window, slowly disappeared.
It signifies a new life, which is about to begin again.
Nayla. His two pairs of eyes, felt extremely heavy being opened.
That's vivid. Nayla cried last night. Not really meant to cry, actually,
but, her tears fell by themselves.
Repeatedly he adjusted by blinking it many times, but still.
His two eyes could not be fully opened.
Actually, actually,
since last night Nayla slept for a while. But, his sleep was not really asleep.
The woman was awake even in her sleep.
"Ouch.."
Nayla whimpers.
Cramps in his stomach feel increasingly disturbing. Every time he felt excessive anxiety, every cramp in his stomach increasingly felt attacked.
The woman lying down sat quietly. "Maybe I need to, take a warm bath."
He was wearing a white blanket that covered his feet.
Before getting off the bed, he saw a wall clock that showed at half-seven in the morning.
"Well, I take a shower first. There's still two and a half hours, right?"
As he said that, doubt reappeared in his heart.
He was afraid, and anxious.
But, there is no other choice. Moreover, back off and run away from the problem.
Nayla has to face it herself. Without involving anyone else. Even that, Reyhan.
His entire body was covered in warm water. It had been about thirty minutes of soaking, he then ended his activities.
Wearing ordinary clothes, Nayla walked out of the room and descended towards the first floor.
And he found Linda who was wiping the living room window glass back to her.
"Came on.."
The girl looked. He looked at Nayla, who had called him. "Good morning, ma'am.. Can I help you?"
"Morning back Lin.."
"Mommy wants breakfast bread? Let Linda get ready."
Eh?
"No" Barking. So, Nayla remembers what raw goods are not in the refrigeration closet.
"I'm just saying, I want to eat rendang. Could you ask me to please not make dinner?"
"Can.." Linda smiled. "Later in the afternoon Linda went to the market to shop first."
Nayla sighed in relief feeling no wrong guess. "Why not this morning, Lin? The meat is fresh in the morning."
"Mom can too.." Nodding. "Yes, Linda finished wiping it first, ma'am, giggly."
Nayla's thin smile was forcefully present on her lips, lest Linda be suspicious. Honestly,
anxiety took away all the happy hue on Nayla's face. "Thank you Lin.. And don't forget, buy cucumbers the same carrot as well. I also want to eat pickles."
Walk into the kitchen, pick up a glass and pour water for him to drink.
Kitchen and living room without a partition makes them easy to talk, even from a considerable distance. "Oiya Lin, today I have a cooking class. So later, if you come home from the market, and I'm not home, don't be surprised."
"Loh," Shocked. "Mom don't want to be taken?" Linda asked confusedly, and full of probing.
"No need." Trying to make herself as calm as possible, Nayla neutralized her pounding heart by taking a deep breath. So Linda wouldn't suspect. "I've already memorized it. Later if there's anything I call you?"
Oh my God,
remove suspicion from the girl's heart.
"Emm.." Linda thinks. "If there's anything with mom, I'm afraid of getting scolded by Reyhan sir, ma'am.."
To be honest, though,
Linda hesitates to let Nayla travel alone here. In addition to the lack of language, the distance to the cooking class is quite far.
Not sure if Nayla can return home safely.
"You just calm down.." Leave kitchen. "I'll tell Reyhan myself."
"But, mom..." Still hesitant to agree.
"Here you go, just calm down. I can definitely." Rigid grin. "Hehe, I'm telling Reyhan right now. Let's not be afraid of being scolded." While walking up the stairs.
Up on the top floor, Nayla was still peering down. "See Lin, there is a directional app. So you just calm down." He said a little scream.
Yes, Linda said in her heart.
"Yasudah.. As long as Nayla's mother is careful huh? If there's anything, call me."
"Ready.."
So, without thinking any longer. Nayla went into the room.
The suitcase he had prepared yesterday was still where it should be.
The little bag he used to take with him traveled, was re-groomed.
Put his passport and visa into it, so that no one is left behind.
To make the plan go well.
Once everything is ready,
Nayla took her phone.
Honestly, he was confused,
Should he call Reyhan?
But, what should Nayla say?
Her longing for her husband is mounting. Piling up makes a big mound.
Mixed guilt makes the face of the black woman brimmed.
He doesn't know, though,
what his life will be like in two or three days.
Nayla doesn't know either,
was meeting Satya the right decision? or just the wrong decision?
I don't know,
Nayla just wants to solve her problem alone, without involving anyone.
Nayla takes a deep breath.
He should not be anxious excessively, or his stomach cramps will come back and limit his activities.
"Hello"
Nayla starts the conversation, after Reyhan answers her call from across the street.
"Good morning..Why just called?"
"Gmb..." Dehemated. "Sorry,"
"Are you okay? i'm worried..!"
"I miss." Simultaneously, a single drop of clear feathers fell through his cheeks.
"I'll pick you up soon enough.."
"Don't.!" Thumped.
"Don't you?"
"I mean, just finish your business there first Rey. I know you are still busy.
I just wanted to say, though,
Sorry.." One tear fell again.
"For what?"
"Sorry Rey.." Sobbed. Nayla could no longer hold her chest tight. "I'm troubling you, aren't I? Hiks, sorry I haven't been able to be a good wife to you"
"What the hell? Dih, don't be weird ya Nay" from across there, suddenly Reyhan's feeling so bad.
"No, who wants to be weird." The tears that had soaked my cheeks. Even though Nayla knew, it was free.
"Did that guy call you?"
"Who?"
"Satya.!"
Uh,
Nayla silence. The words seemed to be stuck in the woman's throat. What Nayla had to say. He doesn't want to lie to Reyhan, but it's impossible for Nayla to be honest?
"Nay.. Why shut up? Did that guy call you?"
"No, no, Rey.." Nervous and clumsy.
"Everything's safe, and I'm fine." Sorry Reyhan, sorry.
"Related?" Reyhan.
"Yes" said softly. "Yes, I have to be ready. There was a cooking class this morning.
Again, I'm sorry. Don'worry. I'm fine."
That's, like,
short, but enough to make the corner of Nayla's heart feel pain. He will return home, return to Indonesia without news.
But, it wasn't Reyhan he was going to meet.
His longing to meet the husband, Nayla must hold it again. Before he could solve his problem alone.
Tok to tok.
The door to his room was knocked.
While walking, he lyrics a wall clock that shows eight o'clock over a quarter.
"Yes Lin, what's wrong?" He found a housekeeper in front of his room. "You haven't been to the market yet?"
"Eh, yes ma'am. This is gonna take a break." Linda observed Nayla's clothes that had changed since she met this morning. "Mom's leaving too, right? Not together, ma'am?"
Heh?
"No, no need Lin. I'm not ready yet. You go first, right?"
"Good." Linda nodded. "I went to the market first, Mom. Mother be careful."
"Yes, thank you Lin.."
Nayla closed the door to her room.
Then he peeked out of the window whether Linda had actually left the house, or not.
After seeing Linda come out of the gate,
Nayla immediately grabbed her suitcase. Again, make sure everything is ready.
What he needed to carry, was neatly arranged in a suitcase and a small bag hanging on his shoulder.
He came out in a hurry from home.
With heavy steps, he left the house. Cry broke.
Repeatedly he said an apology in his heart, to Reyhan.
"Sorry Rey. hikss.sorry"
