Sisca listened to the song with a rumble in the chest. Not fun or entertaining. But even smothered his chest. Sisca complained without a sound. Well, why is that song that Morin sang. The song that was popular in the 90s was forgotten. No longer on his favorite song list.
You may have liked it before. A dozen years ago. When the song was popular. When the CD of the song was received from someone. But it was a long time ago. Ah, no! I don't want to remember it anymore Sisca cried in her heart.
Nadia understood the sudden change that happened with Sisca as soon as she listened to the song. He responded casually and tried to pass it on to Sisca. “Wah, still remember Morin that song,” he said in a flat voice.
Sisca was not listening. Nor did he listen to the sound of Morin winding. His ears were filled with the whirling wind. It was like listening to the limbubu wind that was stomping and rolling around his ears.
Nadia saw Sisca's temples filled with clear spots. It soon increases with growing spots. Falling down and breaking next to his cheeks. “You remember Ika,” said Nadia wonder. It was morning and the weather was not hot. The large fan standing on the left side had not even been turned on.
Because there was no reaction, Nadia pulled out a tissue and then attached it to Sisca's temples and cheeks. Some sheets of tissue were immediately soaked and rubbed a few more sheets. Sisca's sweat continued to seep.
On stage Morin still chants the song with full animosity. It was heard from his trembling voice and his shrill body movements. Spectators glued. Tacit. No longer strong following the sound of Morin soaring and winding instantly. Morin really drugged the audience with that old chatter.
And that made Sisca fall. His head fell on Nadia's shoulders. It's like fainting or losing energy. But Nadia heard her close breath hunting in her arms.
Nadia breathed a deep breath as Morin finished Ruth Sahanaya's song. The audience cheered for more. In Nadia's heart cried out; not another old Morin song!
Nadia shouted as Morin heard. He was heard singing west. Nadia doesn't know whose song it is or what it's called. But I often listen to it. Although still drooping on her shoulders, Nadia hoped that Sisca would listen to the song that Morin was singing now. A cheerful and cheerful song.
When he returned to the chair after finishing his second song, Morin was shocked to see Sisca. “Why him? Why?” ask before sitting down.
“Maybe tired,” says Nadia sober.
“Capek? Ah, it was still fresh. Tired why?”
Nadia did not answer. He held his heart to say even though he knew for sure the cause was the singing that Morin brought. He does not want to ruin the atmosphere.
It became a big question mark in Morin's head; what happened to Sisca? “Why do you love?” his tanyanya spies on Sisca's shoulders. Morin gave the bottle of mineral water that he had opened. “You drink first let it be fresh.”
Sisca moved her head. Feels heavy. He opened his mouth sucking on the tip of the pipette Morin was holding. After drinking he was like getting energy and immediately raised his head from Nadia's shoulders. He tried to smile.
Morin chuckled short. “Surely because of that memorable song. You're washed. Aye right?”
Sisca was silent. But his body movement says yes. Seeing that Sisca's reaction was not as feared, Nadia immediately said for sure. “Yes because of your song!”
Morin was back laughing. “Do not be too lived. Memories are often washed away when followed.”
Sisca straightened up after drinking mineral water again. Why am I drifting? Why is the crybaby right? He looked at Morin and Nadia as if he regretted himself why he had to be swept away by the memories of the past because of the song. “Ceng once I yes,” he said to himself.
“Memories do make people crybaby and forget themselves,” said Morin anyway.
“Your singing makes Sisca forget herself,” said Nadia.
“Oh yes?”
“He he it's because I sing.”
“Very animating.”
“And drifting.”
The reunion that lasted until that evening was indeed sweeping. No less than 600 people came. From various forces. After lunch, the event is relaxed and familiar. The look changed too. No longer like a middleman or a year-end meeting. Replace with tables and chairs like in a restaurant that sits in a circle. More relaxed and familiar.
Timo didn't seem to come. Through an unknown agreement Sisca, the two took turns to excuse themselves with the reason of going to the toilet. But they were actually looking for Timo among the hundreds of desks that filled the middle courtyard of the school.
Morin and Nadia both did not find men tucked among hundreds of alumni. They came to a painful conclusion: Timo did not come! But the two did not speak a word about it. They didn't want to make Sisca grow moody.
It's not just Timo who hasn't come. According to the records obtained by Morin from the committee, from the class of 3IPA3 years of their generation as many as 12 people who did not come from 30 people in total. But Timo's absence is a hindrance to them. Especially for Sisca.
Towards the end of the reunion event, many agreements were produced. Many plans and alumni agendas are agreed upon. Also formed alumni managers. Yet none of them stayed at the head of Sisca. He returned to the hotel with his head bowed and his eyes misty.
Morin and Nadia understood Sisca's grieving face. But they act like they don't know. Both of them show joy like meeting old friends. Not wanting to disturb the togetherness of those who live last night, Nadia even insisted on moving to Morin and Sisca's room.
“Wear extra bed do you mean?” ask Sisca astonished.
“We three bed. I'm the only one who's perfectly healthy, right?”
“We?”
“You two are like people never eat rice.”
Indeed, Nadia intends to perfect the joy and pleasure of the three of them following this reunion activity. He did not want the joy of Sisca cleft because Timo did not come. At the very least, he wanted no melancholy on Sisca's face until they parted tomorrow afternoon. Morin who always spoke as he thought was unable to cure Sisca alone.
After dinner at the hotel restaurant, Nadia takes him to the pub. “This singer should entertain us. When necessary until morning.”
Morin is certainly like a football player invited to the latest synthetic field. He's holding back the laughter. His throat may have been itchy, it could only be a few songs at the reunion event. For Sisca, there was no reason for her to say no.
Not too many pubs that night. The butler who came to ask for a drink order, Nadia said she was going down to sing. “You can sing?” ask Sisca.
Nadia chuckles. “Not yet know you.”
When it was time for the pub singer to deliver a call to guests to sing and name their table number, Nadia immediately elbowed Morin. “Song of the future,” he said reminded.
