Chapters 10. Apparitions

So engrossed in walking with Afkar, Khalisa only realized that the dark was getting late. The clock on his blind cell phone already showed at half-nine.

“Duh, my base. Very village anyway, rarely play so this way, forget the time.”

Throwing the jacket of Afkar more tightly also put his warm hat, Khalisa carrying Afkar who is still fun to move his feet to and fro at the location of the square of Bandung City which began to be quiet. Carrying it using a rag long stored in the closet because the baby sling that is usually used is not worth traveling. Tighten the knot, making sure the child is covered with warmth.

“We're home yes, dear. We will play again sometime. Afkar is also time bobo.”

“Af nantuk Unda. But fun,” he said while yawning wide.

“Yes already, now Af rem yes, bobo in sling Bunda.” Khalisa kissed the child's puffed cheeks, then hugged him tightly while swinging his legs towards the edge of the road, waiting for public transport majors to where he went home across.

Twenty minutes passed, the transportation majors he was waiting for did not come. The surrounding sidewalk began to fall. Some people who were both waiting for angkot had already climbed their respective majors.

On the right and left are two young men who, since ten minutes ago, stood not far from Khalisa. They did not look intent on intercepting the angkot, continuously glancing at him.

Ripples insecurely graze greeting the nape. Khalisa drew a restless breath. Fear began to wander his back. Rotating the brain, he thought hard, observing the location around. Because he did not observe properly before, he only realized the place to intercept angkot is a poorly lit area. His eyes ran frantically mapping the direction, looking for a gap allowing to save themselves in case of emergency things that continue to pass in his mind.

“Hey is beautiful, where are you going? Brother inter.” The long-haired young man who was on the right side greeted with a suspicious tone.

His eyes are always scanning Khalisa who still captivates his beauty even though in super simple makeup, only wearing a loose blouse sebetis. His black hair despite being pigtied just any still did not lose its luster. Her skin is pure white. Big nose, tiny pink lips, with black eyebrows neatly formed from birth framing his own bead.

“Not necessary, Bang. I just wait for the Angkot. Go ahead,” replied Khalisa, his eyeballs rolling fretfully dampening the panic.

Erat, Khalisa decapitated Afkar who had fallen asleep. While trying to remain unmoved even though honestly it is difficult. Wanting to scream for help also did not see anyone passing by.

“Not good sustenance. If you do not want to be the same brother, how about the same Mas just delivered home? Use the motor,” bargain the other one with a tone no less suspicious and then drag a step closer. Making Khalisa increasingly panicked, desperately strengthening his knees that are slow invaded by fear that is increasing in intensity.

Through both corners of Khalisa's eyes, the two suspicious young men eroded the distance, getting closer.

Encouraged by growing fear, Khalisa strengthened his resolve, taking a swing to run to the left side towards the pedestrian bridge. However, his intention erupted already when a rowdy sound was heard behind his back. Followed by the sound of a storm also screams.

From head to toe, Khalisa shakes in fear like a great earthquake. As the noise diminished, he ventured back. Dumbfounded was treated to an unexpected sight.

Behind him the two young men who had been bothering him were sprawled with bloody foreheads. Two men were the perpetrators who made the two suspicious youths complain. Two handsome men.

“Because of you!” The man in police clothes exclaimed while locking the movements of the two young men who were sprawled. “Say, who told you to do the terror of throwing stones at vehicles on the streets!”

“Ampun, Sir. We're not told by anyone, just a joke, I swear,” said they lost their fangs. Whining like a baby.

“Lying! I don't need your bullshit oath. Explain everything at the police station! Yudhis, hold them, I'll call another patrolman to bring the stone-thrower.”

“Ghai, wait. Take a good look.” The man in the blue coat called Yudhis spoke again.

“Not this gondrong a person who is looking for too? The clothes clothes clothes clothes clothes clothesline that lately unsettled the residents of housing in the area of Bandung City. Basic perverted brain villains!” The man in the blue suit twisted the two arms of one of the thugs until he turned back.

“Hah, p-clothes in?” khalisa reflex commented despite stuttering due to still being struck by shock. He was still trembling, his steps frozen, as if his feet were nailed to the ground.

The two men only realized the presence of others there. Both of them looked towards the source of the voice. They were barely perched, finding the figure of a pale beautiful woman carrying a toddler, standing not far from a shady tree on the side of the sidewalk.

“Astaghfirullahaladzim! W-you're human or kuntilanak!” exclaimed the man in blue clothes spontaneously half-screaming.

Seriate.
