SECRET MAURA

SECRET MAURA
Season 2: (PNS) A Dark Secret

Maura was still peeking out from the small blemish behind the door, she observed the situation outside. He still saw the elders in the house were still there, they saw that the door of Nala's room was still slightly open.

"Nala, if you're in the room it should be closed. Do not leave it open even a little" said Mr. Herman upset.

"What's the matter, Dad?" he asked as if he knew nothing.

"Just in case, who knows there are your brothers who are idly entering here" replied Mr. Herman.

"You're just like Nayra, shut the door like it's not tight!" call Herman again.

Nala was a little surprised to hear his father's words, he was smart in expression so his father did not know if he was hiding something.

"Already, Brother. His name is also twin, likes nothing alike. Hehe!" said Sinta ma'am mediate.

"Yes, don't go anywhere tonight! In your room alone, I don't want something like that to happen again that night!" said Mr. Herman as he passed away leaving him.

"Patience well, this is for your good and others." said Sinta mom while patting Nala's shoulder.

They all left the place, Maura hurriedly closed the door of Nayra's room again. His heart was pounding no less their steps approaching that room.

Geck! Geck! Geck!

"Nayra! Remember, the door is locked and must not leave the room until tomorrow morning" said Mr. Herman to his son, but did not know which in it turned out to be his nephew.

"Hem!" Maura just said it like that.

"Why did he just tell me like that? Maybe he was upset with me. Let it go, it will also calm down again." murmured Mr. Herman.

Hearing footsteps away from the room, Maura again relieved because now she lives alone. It's just that he felt strange with Nala, why didn't he tell me if his twin sister had disappeared with the creature?

But after that he also thought, why do they have so much heart to do that to him? And while he was there he never once made a mistake, or hurt them.

"Could it be when I came home late? But where possible just because of that they could sacrifice myself" he murmured himself.

He carefully opened the door and locked it from the outside, so that they would not realize that Nayra was not in his room.

He settles into Nala's room, and knocks on the door slowly so as not to be heard from the others.

"Who?" ask Nala.

"Here, me!" sahut Maura's.

Chequek!

"Get in fast, before the others see you!" abugn.

Maura hurriedly entered the room, she saw Nala was so busy looking for something in a book that looked worn out, on his desk he also saw a sheet of paper made of bark.

"What are you doing?!" asked Maura astonished.

"I'm looking for a clue to break that magic! So that I can save Nayra" he said, flipping through the book page by page.

"And this bark.." Maura saw this thin bark so worn and weathered.

"That's the map where they usually perform the ritual, and there they usually also hold the prisoners before the offering is done" he explained busily with the book.

"I saw only thin, weathered wood, no sign of it up there. Let alone the map, any writing is not there" said Maura.

"Of course, because the only ones who could see the contents of the map were the elders. And.." Nala looked silent as if she was thinking about something.

"And what?" asked Maura curiously.

"And the blood of the original descendants of the founder of the sect and also the descendants of the ancient King Srivijaya, but it is impossible. Because all I know is there's nothing like it.

Logically, where there is a son of a devil worshiper married to the son of the king who has the duty and obligation to destroy the witches on Srivijaya earth at that time" said Nala.

Maura was silent listening to her explanation, she had a moment to think.. If it is true what Nala said earlier, it means he can do that.

"Emm, did they perform a ritual or something to open this map?" ask Maura again.

"I've never seen them do that in front of us all, they'll give it their all once we've been deemed appropriate" Nala replied.

"We, these beginners, have not been taught anything by them. He said only lucky children could follow in their footsteps, if we wanted to, we had to study hard, one of them by reading these books.

And I'm part to keep this book and map, we'll take turns getting this assignment in turn" Nala was still busy with the book, she had unknowingly been led various questions by Maura.

"Nala, do you and Nayra like this activity? How does it feel to be part of this sect family?" ask Maura.

Hearing that, Nala instantly fell silent and only looked at the book. Seen the look of his face changed, he was holding something in his heart.

"We... See everything, that night... Dad, mom... Since then we hate them all, but we can't run or run from here.

We're just waiting for time, your presence here is like a breath of fresh air to us, you're the only way for us to get out of here.

And, sorry... If we're being rude to you, that's our way of not being considered in this family. It may sound strange, but it is... If you are naughty and considered a dissident, then you will be considered dead in their exams" Nala explained.

"Are you and Nayra... See your mother, sacrificed?" maura asked carefully.

Nala simply nodded, her face and eyes flushed withholding emotions as she recalled the events of that time.

"We were little, a year after Maura's departure... Dad took us for a picnic in the middle of this family's tea garden, because he didn't have much time for all of us.

That day he spent his time playing with us there, Dad took mom somewhere in the area, we didn't realize it.

Being a child and afraid of being left behind, we looked for them. We saw my father taking me to play hide and seek while closing his eyes.

Father directed mother to a large cage containing offerings, at that time we did not know anything, and wanted to play with them as well.

Suddenly the door of the cage closed quickly shut the mother, we were very surprised. Nayra wanted to run towards mom, but my instincts said it was dangerous.

I held him down while hiding behind the tea tree plant, I who was a child at that time seemed to know everything, I poured Nayra's mouth so as not to scream and her crying voice was inaudible.

With our own eyes, we saw the mother rolled up by the black fog that enveloped the huge cage.

Still ringing in our ears, the sound of screams for help mother.. We really feel sorry for not being able to do anything" Nala told me about the incident at the time.

Maura could understand her feelings back then, as she also felt that way. He also felt admiration for him, because he could hold that feeling for up to a dozen years.

"You are great to be able to hold it, in the midst of people who have harmed your mother" Muara said again.

"Now, what do you want after this?" ask Maura again.

"I'll find Nayra until I see you, I don't want to lose any more! It's all because of Grandma's obsession and their greed!" snarl.

Nala seemed to be packing into some items in her backpack, she also carried the manual. When he wanted to take the wooden paper scroll, Maura accidentally touched the paper.

Suddenly the paper gave off a bright light in it, Nala was surprised to throw the paper roll down on the floor of the room.

The scroll detached from the scroll, and emitted a bright light inside the piece of paper.

When the light began to dim, visible in the sheet of paper there are scratches such as roots or veins forming a map in there.

"Maa-Maura... B-how did you get?!" nala was surprised.

Maura just smiled looking at him, she did not react to anything only Nala who looked scared and worried to see him.

"Look down, I'm here to help you and Nayra is out of here" Maura said, taking the paper and rolling it back up.

"Let's go, there's no time. Don't let us be late" Maura said.

"But how can... What if-" Nala looks doubtful to him.

"Trust.. I came with good intentions" Maura said painfully.

Nala inevitably had to trust him, because only Maura could open the map, and she hoped they could save Nayra.
