Rayhan just stared at Marchel without answering the question the doctor asked him, making Marchel clench her hand. If Rayhan had not been a minor, Marchel might have given him a fist.
Without permission, Marchel left Rayhan still there.
While the mother published a triumphant smile. The middle-aged woman was like getting a powerful weapon to make her son hate Sheila.
While Marchel had entered the house, the upright man stepped his feet up one step at a time with a feeling of emotion. His mind floated everywhere, considering that the wife had come home in a very chaotic state.
Marchel arrives in front of Sheila's sealed room. He knocked on the door of the room a little hard.
"Sheila's... Open door! We have to talk" Marchel said, raising his voice.
There is no lawfulness. Marchel finally turned the doorknob of the room. And, open... The room was not locked. Marchel dragged her step into the wife's room.
There was a heartbreaking sound coming from the corner of the room. Marchel set her sights on the source of the voice. Until her eyes caught Sheila sitting in the corner of the room with her face down.
Marchel immediately approached his little wife and crouched down in front of her.
"Sheila, we need to talk!" marchel softened his voice. For some reason, there was a feeling of not having the heart to see Sheila in such a state. However, Sheila did not reply. The little girl just kept sobbing.
"Sheila.." call Marchel again.
Finally, Sheila ventured to raise her head, then looked at her husband's eyeballs with tears flooding his thin face.
"What's going on? Why did you come home in this state? Where did you and your friend come from?"
For a few minutes, Sheila was silent. Not a word came out of his mouth, until courage arose out of nowhere.
"Sister Marchel, please let me go back to my house. I can take care of myself. I want to stay at my house... Brother Marcel could've divorced me..." Sheila spoke with a trembling tone.
Marchel was sculpting, for some reason her heart felt crumpled at Sheila's words.
"Why? Why do you want me to divorce you? You want to be free with your friend?"
Hearing Marchel's words piercing into her heart, Sheila was only able to lower her head. If it wasn't for Rayhan's help, Sheila might still be locked up in that dusty shed.
"So soon Brother Marchel will divorce me too, right? Why not just now?" Sheila wiped away her tears without permission, "and I'm going home. Here, I'm just being everyone's burden."
Marchel closed her eyes hearing Sheila's words. The man also realized his cold attitude all along to his little wife.
"You know Sheila, marriage is not something to be played with. Not married, then divorced. I promised Shanum I'd take care of you. So I can't divorce you" Marchel said. "You haven't answered my question. Where'd you? Why are you coming home in this state?"
"Of course the wanderings were unclear with her friend," Mother came to interrupt Marchel and Sheila's conversation.
Instantly, Sheila lowered her head again, the innocent girl was so afraid to see the look on the face of the in-laws who had been so rude to her all along.
"Mom, I beg you, leave us both. I want to talk to Sheila alone" Marchel said without taking her eyes off Sheila.
"Everything you want to talk to him about, Marchel... He was clearly an untrue child. Going home at night with a man. Just look at his disheveled appearance. I don't know where she's from." Mother stared intently at Sheila as her screeching added to the fear in Sheila's heart.
The middle-aged woman grew even more annoyed, staring at Sheila sharply and hatefully. "You've made the wrong decision to marry this wild child, Marchel! Mother was astonished, how Shanum had educated her all this time. Why did he become such a wild child?"
Marchel let out a rough sigh hearing the mother's words, then stood up from her crouching position.
"ENOUGH, MOM!" Marchel raised her voice making mother gasp in shock. For the first time, her son made a loud voice in front of the woman who had brought him into the world.
"What?" I looked very surprised, "Marchel, you've never yelled at me before. And now, you're raising your voice in front of mom just because of that kid."
Marchel closed her eyes, frustrated at this difficult situation. She realized her mother did not like Sheila very much.
"I'm sorry, Mom! I didn't mean that. It's just that I want to settle this matter with Sheila. Ma'am, I beg you... I want to talk to Sheila."
Feeling upset, her son preferred Sheila, the mother came out of the room with a face full of anger. Marchel stayed with Sheila in the room.
Sheila had not yet moved from her sitting position on the floor by hugging her knees and slapping her face. The man then approached the wife again and crouched down in front of her.
"Sheila.." call Marchel.
Sheila did not flinch and did not even say, she was silent. And, when Marchel touched her arm, Sheila's body was about to fall to the floor. Luckily, Marchel swiftly caught him. The man realized that his wife was fainting.
In her panic, Marchel carried Sheila and laid her on the bed. Then take off the jacket Sheila was wearing. Marchel patted Sheila's face gently a few times but the girl was still unmoved.
The doctor immediately returned to his room to pick up his briefcase, then returned to his wife's room. Sitting on the lip of the bed, stared fixedly at Sheila's face, then removed the thick glasses attached there. Then, Marchel checked his wife's heart rate and blood pressure.
Hurriedly, Marchel escapes from Sheila's room to the kitchen where the medicine box is available. Then take the wind oil from inside the box.
"Auntie, can you come with me to Sheila's room? He fainted.." Marchel told Aunt Yum when he saw him passing by.
"Sheila fainted? What's going on?" The middle-aged woman looked very worried.
"Come, Auntie! He just got home." Marchel then immediately stepped foot followed by Aunt Yum.
The man smeared wind oil on the base of his wife's nose. However, Sheila did not wake up either.
"What's wrong with her?" ask Aunt Yum. The woman looked pityfully at Sheila.
"He's okay, Auntie. It's just fatigue, so faint." replied Marchel. "Auntie, please change her clothes. I'll wait outside."
"Good..."
Marchel came out of the room, while Aunt Yum changed into a very dirty and dusty Sheila. The middle-aged woman dropped her tears, looking at Sheila who had always been treated unfairly by the people around her.
Outside the room, Marchel rested her back on the pillar. His mind was still fixed on the boy who was always attached to the wife. There was a feeling of dislike that Marchel felt when she saw Sheila being close to another man.
