A slap landed on Alice's cheek. The girl is forced to get engaged to a widower by her evil stepbrother.

Alice held onto her left cheek which was hot from the slap of her half-brother Robert. He looked at the man with a sad face and pleaded. “I don't want to marry!” He shook his head slowly, hoping to get some mercy from his half-brother.

Alice's tears fell, but it did not attract the empathy of Robert who had already received money from his step-brother's future husband. In a firm and loud voice he said, “I said stop crying and don't protest too much!”

Once again a slap landed on Alice's cheek. One hand Robert then firmly gripped Alice's cheeks and began to threaten, “If you still love your life, just follow my orders! Being the wife of Mr. Charles will guarantee your life and you can sleep on a soft bed, eat well. What else are you looking for? Do you want me to finish you off?”

Robert's voice this time felt deafening Alice. The man's anger was very noticeable from his intimidating eyes and his thunderous voice. The grip of Robert's hand on Alice's cheek was also increasingly painful, as if to choke the jawbone of her half-sister.

Alice closed her eyes. The choice Robert gave her was not a profitable one. Between marriage and death, neither of them saved Alice. Alice wanted to refuse, but Robert interrupted immediately with a sentence that signified approval. There was nothing else Alice could do but surrender to accept her engagement. Tonight, Alice and Charles are officially engaged and soon, they will be married.

“Prepare yourself, Beautiful! Two more weeks I'll have you!” charles kissed Alice's right hand.

In fact, Charles had a handsome face and had no physical flaws. However, one thing that made Alice refuse to get engaged to him was Charles' temperamental nature.

Once upon a time when Alice was just introduced to Charles, the man beat up his men who accidentally spilled a drink at Alice's feet. Charles's outburst and indiscriminate anger was exactly like Robert's, leaving Alice terrified and constantly trying to undo the matchmaking. Unfortunately, Robert would not let that happen.

Alice and Charles's wedding day finally arrived. During these two weeks, Alice kept thinking of ways to escape, but always failed and the opportunity was completely absent as Robert guarded her very tightly.

In the room that will be used as the bridal room, Alice returned. This time, there were two people assigned to decorate it, but Robert was busy with the wedding party.

Alice felt the guard began to slack, especially her stepmother was in the bathroom of the room. This is Alice's chance to escape.

Alice looked back and saw Robert watching from a distance. There was no other choice and he didn't have much time right now.
