SEDUCED IN-LAW

Vanes again saw the circular clock on his wrist, it was almost 7 am but Faris had not yet come to pick him up even though usually Faris came at half 7.

Vanes sat down uneasily, his mind drifting in thought of yesterday's events when he heard the sound of Mr. Kades' recording.

Vanes is convinced that Mr. Kades is a cunning and evil man. Mr. Kades must have done something that left Faris not here yet.

At exactly 8 a.m., Vanes could not wait any more. He eventually ditches not to go to college and plans to go to Faris' house.

No matter what Faris' parents say or how Faris's parents respond, Vanes just wants to know Faris's situation.

...****************...

Nearly 2 hours Faris, Asih and Slamet were tried by residents on charges that Mr. Kades leveled at Faris but Faris and his family still remain in their stance.

Not admitting to Mr. Kades' accusation.

Faris even gave a voice recording of Mr. Kades forcing her to marry Ani to all the citizens but as if their ears were closed, all the citizens trusted Mr. Kades more than Faris.

"After all, which parent is not angry and forces you to marry Neng Ani if it is clear that you have impregnated Neng Ani!" one of the residents seemed to not accept the defense launched by Faris.

"You're crazy, try to listen again to this recording well do not just download!" Faris was frustrated and upset that no one believed him.

Faris tries to turn on the voice recording again but one of the residents grabs her phone and slams it until Faris's phone crumbs and dies.

"What are you doing!" jolt Faris did not accept even though the one who slammed his phone was older than him.

"Have it, you better take responsibility, don't be a coward!"

"Yes responsibility, responsibility!" yelling at the other residents simultaneously made Faris unable to defend himself anymore.

Slamet and Asih looked down sad because they could not defend their son from the vile slander made by Mr. Kades.

It looks like Mr. Kades smiled with satisfaction to see all the citizens believe in his words.

"If I did rape Ani, try to prove it. If it's proven, I'll marry Ani!" faris said loudly making everyone quiet.

"The evidence is there already, Mr. Kades who reported it himself and gave us evidence" said one of the police who was there while showing the brown envelope that was somehow contained.

"Impossible, you must be in cahoots with Mr. Kades." accuse Faris of staring at the cop in disbelief.

"Don't just accuse me, you could be exposed to defamation!" the other police officers looked angry.

"Then give me the evidence, I want to see what he's reporting to you!" faris said loudly without any fear.

The policeman threw a brown envelope containing the report data from Mr. Kades. Not waiting for long, Faris opened the envelope and saw if the photo of him there was an edit.

"It's obviously an edit, can't you tell which is the original photo and the edit?" faris shouted with emotion."

"No edits, it's original!" the police said with a sharp look "You'd better be responsible or you'd rather go to jail?"

Faris smiled cynically, "I'd rather go to jail than take responsibility for a mistake I didn't make!" said Faris steadily.

"Crazy, he's crazy. Why choose prison instead of being the son-in-law of Mr. Kades." whispered the person who was there.

"I'm sure, just arrest me now, if the truth isn't revealed, it will one day be revealed" Faris said, extending her hands to be handcuffed by police.

"How is this Mr. Kades?" ask one of the cops to Mr. Kades.

"Have it, take it if you don't want to be responsible" said Mr. Kades casually, "He's ruined my son's future, he must be put to death so that there are no further victims."

"What an empty tooth is Mr. Kades, you really outrageous to slander my son like that!" slamet's jolt doesn't take it.

"I'm not making a fitnah, I'm telling the truth. You're a poor family if you want to be the best I can do in the right way, don't be like this" Mr. Kades said with a contemptuous look.

"Stop insulting my family!" faris shouted in disbelief, "Take me now, take me if it can make you satisfied!"

The police took Faris out of the room and immediately into the prepared prisoner's car.

"Don't I ever say not to be like me." whispered Mr. Kades right in Slamet's ear and patted Slamet on the shoulder.

Slamet stared furiously at Mr. Kades, He really felt helpless and could not defend his son from this cruel slander.

Slamet and Asih went home without Faris, Along the way, people looked at him cynically and some even said cruel words to him.

"Not only are they poor but they also cannot educate their children well."

She cried when she heard someone say that to her.

"Already Ma'am, the truth will definitely be revealed" said Slamet when the two reached home.

"But what if it's not immediately revealed sir? It could be that Faris is in prison forever or it might get the death penalty." Fear Asih.

"If until that happens, our son dies in an honest state, we should be proud to have a good and honest son" Slamet said, trying to calm his wife but making her cry even more.

"Mom doesn't want Faris to die because of this slander sir."

"Already mom, already. Nobody wants this to happen. Let us leave everything to the Supreme. At the moment there is nothing we can do but pray" said Slamet who was eventually embraced by Asih.

The door of the house was knocked, Asih cleaned his face from the rest of the tears and then moved from his seat and went to open the door.

He was surprised to see who came to his house. I really know the people who came here.

"Miss Vanes..."

Vanes, standing at the door smiling, heard Asih still recognize her, "Mom still remembers me?"

"Of course still, the same period of the nephew's own wife can forget" said Asih.

Vanes gulped his saliva hearing Asih say his nephew's wife. It feels like Vanes wants to say if he has divorced from Rizal but Vanes thinks, Asih already knows it's just Asih still pretending not to know.

"I'm here to look for Mas Faris" said Vanes stunned Asih and his tears flowed back.

"Did something happen, ma'am?"
