Little Faris ran over to Slamet who was resting in the hut. Slamet had just harvested corn, he was exhausted and decided to take a short break.
"Mr.." Faris's shrill voice instantly made Slamet smile.
Slamet immediately brought Faris into his lap, "Faris with you Daddy for lunch" he said with a carefree smile.
Slamet nodded, seeing Asih walking towards him with a bushel containing lunch for him.
"Mother was left with Faris." lamented Asih.
Faris laughed amusedly, "Old mother anyway, Faris was running spit." showing off Little Faris was so alarming that Slamet could not bear to not kiss her cheek.
"Father stinks!" faris's nagging but did not stop Slamet and continued to kiss his only son.
"Father stinks because we find money to eat Faris," said Asih who is now preparing food for Slamet.
"Well, it's okay to kiss again." Faris lets her cheek kissed again by Slamet.
Faris smiled as she twisted her childhood memory. Although Faris lived a life of deprivation, he never lacked the affection of his parents.
"Mas kebablasan.." Vanes' voice disperse Faris' daydream, realized that the cost of Vanes had been missed.
"Think what the hell Mas? What's the problem?" asked Vanes with a look of annoyance.
Vanes knows that Faris is having trouble, only that Faris is reluctant to tell him.
"Nothing, baby, I was daydreaming."
Vanes let out a long sigh, He didn't want to force Faris to tell the story because he thought Faris wasn't ready to tell him.
"Later don't have to pick up here, I'll be escorted with Nani because Nani says she wants to snack there" said Vanes who was immediately embraced by Faris. "Mas Faris has returned to heart, do not daydream again."
Faris smiled and ruffled Vanes's hair, "I'm sorry I'm the one who's carrying."
After seeing Vanes smile, Faris immediately drove his bike home.
On the way, Faris again daydreamed to remember his childhood memory that was re-played.
"Faris the son of a farmer, Faris the son of a farmer. Hahahaha." taunted some of Faris' friends on his way home from school.
Faris just looked down saddened to hear the ridicule of his friend, He could not resist because what they said was true, Faris was just a farmer's son.
"Okay my father dong became a teacher." show off one of his friends.
"My father also has a shop." Another friend of Faris chimed in.
"Your father is the farmer Haha."
Faris kept walking while looking down trying to ignore the words of her friend. At that time Faris 3rd grade sd, still very small.
"If your father works as our father can not you walk, surely you have a bicycle kayak us." mocked friends Faris again who indeed currently they ride a bicycle, they are now riding a bicycle, only Faris is on foot.
"Hey is enough not to be mocked anymore, pity." said one of Faris' friends who had just been silent did not come mocking.
"We are not mocked, it is in fact Faris the son of the poor Hahaha." Faris' friend's laughter rang out then pedaled their bike faster and left Faris alone.
Faris' tears began to show, Faris wanted to cry but she could stand it.
"Father said men should not be nagged." murmured Faris scooped his face so as not to cry.
Arriving home, Faris saw Asih eating to prepare lunch at the table.
"Your son has come home" said Slamet who had just come out of the bathroom.
Faris did not answer, ignored the smiles of her parents and went straight into the room, leaving both parents confused.
Faris sat down at the table with her parents, again lunch today only with vegetable soup and fried tempeh.
"What does this mean, son? Are you ashamed?"
"Yes sir, Faris is ashamed. Faris in the same tejekin because we're poor!" said Faris half-stomping then left the dining table, entered his room.
In the room Faris was crying, he was very small but had experienced something like this.
After returning from a visit at the home of Mr. Ustad, Faris accidentally saw the sad face of Slamet who was sitting in the guest room. When Faris felt guilty, he immediately approached his Father.
"Said Mr. Ustad we can not hurt parents, sin." said Faris who immediately made Slamet smile, "Faris has hurt the heart of Father, forgive Faris."
Moved by her son's words, Slamet immediately took Faris into his arms, "Faris is a good boy, Faris is a good boy who might hurt you" said Slamet.
Faris's daydreams were caved in when he almost hit a chicken that was about to cross the road.
"Ck, it's almost." Faris muttered with a smile.
The journey home this time was very slow, for some reason Faris wanted to play back his childhood memory.
That morning after making up with Slamet, the newly woken Faris returned the warm smiles of her parents.
"We pray at dawn first yuk." invite Slamet who was immediately embraced by Faris.
After the dawn prayer, Slamet brought Faris into his arms, "The father's son is grown." he murmured.
Faris smiled, "If it's big you can't be kissed again sir." said Faris.
Slamet laughed, "After this you kissed me the most."
Faris looked at Slamet, not understanding what Slamet was saying, "Let's go out for a second."
Faris followed and followed Slamet's footsteps.
And how surprised Faris was when he saw a new bike outside the house. A bike that's even nicer than a friend's.
"This is for Faris" Asih said.
Faris cheered, He did not expect to have the bike of his dreams.
Faris immediately kissed Asih's cheeks and Slamet took turns.
"Kan, what you said. You must be the same father as Mother."
Faris laughed embarrassedly at Slamet's words, for the first time little Faris wanted to kiss her parents without any coercion.
Since owning a bike, no one has bullied Faris. All the children of Faris' age finally want to be friends with Faris.
The older Faris the more grateful to have parents like Asih and Slamet.
Faris friends are mostly from rich people but they lack the affection of their parents in contrast to Faris who get excessive affection from his parents even though his life is only fit. Even now the friend of Faris who used to bully him even became a young man with no job aka unemployment, unlike Faris who had become a Lecturer.
Faris loved her parents very much, never once had Faris denied the words of her parents. Only at this time, when Slamet asked Faris to use his money, Faris refused.
Faris frowned when she saw her home was crowded with many people.
"Patience to Ris ... The patient one." said one of the neighbors who made Faris astonished.
"What's this?"
"Your father is gone."
Faris dropped her helmet and now she heard the sound of Asih's crying.
Seriate....
