Sari and Mika turned their backs to each other with their respective heirlooms. Dozens of humans who had been overrun by the demon army surrounded the two.
"Listen Mika, they are no longer human! So finish without hesitation!"
"Hhm, I know aunty."
"Don't be weak even if the one before you is a child or an old grandmother like the one there!" Sari pointed to Mika's left.
"Aunty, please I know! I can see with my eyes where demons are humans!" Mika was a little annoyed because Sari dictated to her.
"Well, I'm just reminding!" Sari rolled her eyes next to her.
The dark creatures began to approach, Sari could clearly see their hands splitting and dancing like a snake's whimper. The strange howling sound of the marker to attack echoed one of them in the middle.
"All right, let's have fun!"
Sari lunged at the human closest to her who was already roaring and wrapped a blackish tendril on her wrist.
Sengkayana managed to cut off part of the hand and burn it perfectly. He roared and jumped about to bite Sari before Sengkayana finally landed on the chest and split him up. Body's burning.
Mika played with one of the child-like creatures that was so agile. The boy jumped up, dodging with the help of hand tendrils that kept swinging from one tree trunk to another.
"When do you act like a little monkey, huh!" Mika furious.
He stopped chasing after the demon inside the child, smiled sinisterly at him and then turned to attack the others. The little devil was annoyed that Mika stopped chasing after him. He grinned with a growl coming out of his wide-fanged mouth.
With a tree resting, the little devil jumped towards Mika preparing to pounce on her. Mika smiled mockingly, the little devil fell into a trap. Mika bounces her body and then slashes the two daggers crosswise into the body of the little devil.
His glaring eyes received Mika's attack, the little devil fell tumbling to the ground with a gaping wound. Thick black blood seeped from his wound. He hasn't given up. The demon looked at Mika after seeing the wound on her chest, he was angry and growled and then attacked again.
Mika had prepared to welcome him, a single kick was successfully landed into the little devil's stomach, followed by a dagger stroke that injured his neck. The demon in the little boy's body stopped moving, turning towards Mika for a moment before his body shattered into dust.
Mika immediately turned around and returned to knock the dagger at the other demon that was about to reach her body. Mercilessly Mika continued to finish off one after another of the soulless human puppets.
"Aunty! Why did their number not decrease as well?! Did I count wrong?!" Mika cried out loudly for a moment after thrusting a dagger right in the heart of the opponent.
Sari who was still busy with three opponents in front of her also replied, "How much is your algebra worth?"
"Is that important now aunty?"
"Yes, because a high algebra value won't be able to answer how many of them there are!"
"What?!" Mika's expression was complicated, she wiped the splashes of demonic blood that hit her delicate cheeks. "I mean aunty, they keep showing up? From where?"
Sari had not been able to answer Mika's question, she was quite busy fighting three demons at once. Until finally Sengkayana managed to burn down the third body, leaving dust full of air that is quite disturbing the view.
"I don't know Mika, they keep popping! Do you have any ideas?!" Sari asked him on the side he took a breath.
"Aunty, down!" Mika shouted loudly, she threw one of her daggers at the demon behind Sari. The dagger was precisely stuck in the forehead of one of the demon troops.
"Wow, nice throw Mika and thanks!" said Sari who was again busy serving the attack of other creatures.
"The magic rune aunty! We haven't tried it yet, have we?!" His whisper as the bodies of the two turned against each other.
"Do you know how to make it?"
"Yes of course! Cover me!"
Sari nodded, her eyes gleaming red and the sengkayana turning back into a glow. He placed Sengkayana in front of his chest, chanting a spell with his eyes closed. Protective barrier formed. Mika immediately scratched her dagger to the ground. Making magic runes as he learned them.
The dark creatures wearing the bodies of the villagers continued to move forward. They keep popping out of nowhere. Sari opened her eyes, the heat energy of Sengkayana managed to dispel some of the closest creatures.
Several times Sari also had to behead the approaching demon army, burning it like dry leaves. Roar and growl alternately put to each other. Sari continued to fight on guard until Mika finally shouted.
"I'm done aunty, lure them in! I wonder how effective these magic runes are!"
Hearing Mika's cry, Sari opened the protective barrier. He quickly retreated and entered the magic circle with Mika.
"How many chances do you think?" Whisper Sari with a loud breath.
"If they have the same power as Nergal's version of the demon, this will be enough to get the demon out of its host!"
"But their life energy is gone Mika, they are just soulless bodies that are demon-driven!"
"I knew. Then let's see how strong the demon overcame my magic runes! Unfortunately for those humans, at least we can bury him properly!"
Sari looked at Mika with a careless expression. He tilted his head and raised the next eyebrow.
"I mean, don't burn, decapitate, even split it into two aunty!" Mika continued.
"Well, you're right!"
The creatures began to approach and enter the magic runes made by Mika that began to shine, and sure enough just like the demons of the Nergal version. The low-level demons reacted immediately. They were tormented and eventually died leaving the body of their host lying lifeless.
"Sar, it's been over fifteen minutes! Help from the city is approaching, you better stop having fun and leave this place soon!" Bimasena's voice sounded reminiscent.
"Hhm, okay." Sari looked at Mika. "When we're done, we'll finish now!"
Sari stepped out the magic runes, occasionally Sengkayana finished off the demons that desperately approached her. Sari walked quietly, fishing for the rest of the creatures that were there to approach her.
After setting a safe distance with Mika, Sari took a deep breath focusing her energy on Sengkayana. A gust of wind slowly whirled around Sari with the incandescent Sengkayana.
Sari's eyes glinted reddish, he pulled both hands in front of the chest. With a single blow the reddish-yellow Sengkayana energy destroyed almost the entire demon army.
The Sengkayana energy was so great that it suppressed the surrounding air that even Mika had to kneel down to reduce the pressure on her body. Mika's magic rune instantly disappeared swept by Sengkayana's powerful energy.
The next few seconds that were seen were only a few human bodies lying lifeless. Some of them disappeared without impact. Same with Sari and Mika.
The two people who were standing not far from the scene of the fight were just silently staring with impeccably black eyes. The two did not say a word, then turned around and disappeared somewhere.
