AT THE MOMENT when Randu opened his eyes, his lowered gaze caught a pair of human legs. From the ankle to the knee.
"Pak Linggih," Randu muttered softly as he stared at the figure before him.
On a giant cotton tree, Randu sat leaning his body until he accidentally fell asleep. When he woke up, he found Mr. Linggih was in front of him.
It looks like he is not injured, his condition is fine. He just rested his body, which is now very dirty, wet and muddy. His face was shabby without excitement. It was exhausting, three days wandering a kara in the middle of the wilderness. Tired of heart, tired of body.
Mr. Linggih shook his head. "What's to do here?"
Randu's eyes looked still shabby and reddish. Slowly he rubbed his eyes, trying to regain his consciousness from the remaining influence of sleep.
"Are you looking for a way home... Go back to your town?"
Randu was surprised to hear Mr. Linggih ask that. It became a mistake. And what Mr. Linggih will say next will make him even more surprised, either because of happiness or sadness. "Everybody has gone home. I drove him myself."
Menon, Rei.., bathin Randu. There is no mistaking Menon, Zilian, Kori, and Rei for Mr. Linggih.
"Why not talk to us first if you want to go home... At least, you have a traveling companion," continued Mr. Linggih. "Together it's much safer, son."
"I'm sorry I didn't say goodbye" said Randu, feeling guilty. "You must all be worried about me."
"Of course!" replied Mr. Linggih firmly. "More Malay..."
Randu looked seriously at Mr. Linggih, and rushed up from his seat. He was very curious about the situation of Bayu.
Mr. Linggih seemed to understand the meaning of Randu's gaze, without Randu having to ask him to answer him, "Nayu fell ill. right the day after your departure."
Head Randu bowed. Feeling guilty. Feel as a very selfish figure, only selfish, do not care about the circumstances of others for their own purposes. But is that really so? Or this is what he expected. His work's fruit. He is the architect of this scenario.
"Oh, don't think too much. If you still want to continue your intention to go home, I can help," bargained Mr. Linggih who managed to make Randu become even more unwell. "But before, you should know, that we really need your presence again. At least for a few more days, until everything is fine. For the request of a mother in the middle of the forest there, and for the sake of Bayu who was feeling very lost. His days after this won't get any better..." Mr. Linggih stopped his words, Gelagat Randu showed that he could be invited to cooperate. Not as difficult as he imagined to persuade Randu 'back'.
However, Randu was still silent. Pretty long. It seems he changed his mind. Capturing this doubt, Mr. Linggih immediately took a unilateral decision.
"Follow the origin of the water that flows west there, find the upstream. Then, observe where the wind blows from where the herd of coyotes usually gather. And remember carefully where it is headed. Unbeknownst to those vicious beasts, you just follow the wind. Imagine a long straight line. After that you will find a sitting field, the position of the sun can be seen again. Go west again, there you will cross paths with Engkaras forest. That was the last difficult terrain. Keep coming down the hillside until you find a border of climbers, and you won't get lost again." After exposing at length, Mr. Linggih left Randu who might be trying hard to digest his instructions in a lapse.
Randu looked back, guessing the direction in question. Right at that moment he saw a shadow moving suspiciously behind the leaves. And there was a growling sound.
Wait for me, Mr. Linggih...!
INSIDE the room, Naju lay weakly in a quiet night. With his own apprehensive state, falling ill, he had to face a reality that turned a hundred and eighty degrees so quickly. The crowd suddenly turned quiet. Things are back as they were. He would go through days without friends, just himself and his parents. His habit of talking with the moon, he will do more often. Also, talk to his favorite Srinayu bird. Slowly his subconscious felt something, there was a crowded atmosphere, his mother was like welcoming someone. Out there low boisterous cheering said.
"Don't comfort me like that" said Nayu lirih to herself almost without a sound.
Ms. Srining was moved towards Randu, she was unceasingly grateful in spite of the little fetters of life's trials. "Oh thank goodness, you're finally home too. We're so worried about you." Ms. Srining rubbed Randu's head. Like an old mother never met with a favorite baby, after coming home from a far distance.
Mr. Linggih smiled witnessing this happiness. I told you he'd be fine. You magical child.
"Prepare the food first," suggested Mr. Linggih to his wife, "After that, you may fondle him if you wish. If you need to chain her legs so she doesn't act anymore."
Being treated like that, made Randu blush in embarrassment. He also got late in this happy atmosphere. He felt like he really was home. Pak Linggih's family residence is like his real hometown. Not feeling foreign. Instead, feel comfortable.
"Make him a cup of warm chocolate too" added Mr Linggih again. A father, it feels very soon to visit his daughter who is still memingit themselves in the room. Reported to him, the person he missed had returned. If he does not remember his age, he will run and jump like a child.
The noise outside the room has not subsided. Nayu was increasingly able to hear it clearly, the conversation and the sound of things were cleared up. But the guest's voice was not heard by him.
Mr. Linggih dragged the wooden box to the edge. Various tools were inside, some still scattered on the floor; nails, wood, and hammers. The remnants of his work left wooden dregs, pieces of scrap cloth, and looked greasy liquid that was just about to dry on the floor. On the left side of the door, there was a cup of bamboo glass. Contains palm sugar coffee water, Pak Linggih's favorite drink.
"Oooh... very tired it feels," said Mr. Linggih complained lightly. "Sit down to relax first, just clean your body. Better with hot water. Ask your mother that."
Randu undoes his intention when he wants to go to the back, because of the influence of Mr. Linggih's advice to sit down to relax. However, in an instant he changed his mind again, "Mm. but I want to urinate first," he said.
In the back room, Randu passed by Bu Srining, who was busy preparing the dish. Then the middle-aged mother glanced at Randu, her lips making a smile. A 'suspicious' smile'. Randu was only able to understand the meaning of that smile when Bu Srining suddenly directed his gaze to the room of Nyu. Intentionally reminding me of someone in it. Randu followed the glance that led to that.
What should I do, Sandu sighed inwardly.
Nayu wishes the guest was Randu. If only he could stand up straight, he would dart out. Ah.., but it was embarrassing, she argued later. Now he begged on time, that as soon as possible drags Randu to approach him, tearing down doubts, or perhaps self-esteem that hinders the young man. 'Bring me'; his smile, his warmth, his longing. But wait, no, let it. Let the taste continue to peak. Sayu has found out that it is Randu, and will not go again.
The night dissolved, drowning the mind of Bayu in peace. The tranquility of the water; the calmness of the river that washed away a leaf. Clinging it up, bringing it to the world of the subconscious. Severely.
When morning called out to her, Nayu felt as if she had just woken up from a dream. He was trying to recall what happened last night. At first it felt like a dream, then it slowly flashed a hint of light inside its head, guiding its memory to find something it was looking for. Tucked behind the folds of his brain, hiding among the tangles of nerves, and still wrapped in the remains of the night membrane. A bashful smile blushed to form on his face. However, it was forced to be immediately obliterated when the curtain of his bedroom door began to open.
Ms. Srining stepped in while humming, with a look of a face that seemed to want to spread the good news. His smile, his face, and his steps seemed well planned. In both hands, each carried a bowl of rice porridge and a glass of water. Walk towards the table, and put the luggage there. Then pull the window lever, and open it wide. The fine dust that had been waiting in line out there swarmed in, excitedly, in the control of the light, as if to deliver a trace of hope.
"It's morning, baby," said Mrs Srining gently.
Nayu continued to observe her mother carefully. His eyes are suspicious. The presence of Ms. Srining is like a scary nurse, even with a friendly smile. Like carrying an unpleasant order from the doctor, armed with a set of syringes that are ready to be used on the patient.
"Do you need guidance if you want to go back?" Tanya Bu Srining, although she believes the health condition of her son has been better in the morning.
Nayu woke up to sit down. The glint of her face kept the question. The movements of his eyeballs also told him about the intent of his heart. A curiousity.
"Just calm. I'm not gonna fuck you today. There was not a single piece of meat in the rice porridge. Just plant protein, as you asked. Peas, long beans, fermented mushrooms and carrots. And the aroma of roast meat comes from the miracle of the combination of olive oil, bangek leaves and salem leaf powder." Bu Srining's light seemed to understand what Naju's heart was. After that he left, leaving Naju alone in a state of dissatisfaction, meaning not to arrive. Leave a piece of clear glass that blocks the channel of the liver passageway.
"Lake in!" sambar Nayu is fast, like the behavior of lightning who does not want to waste the opportunity when he sees an iron object plastered without protection in the middle of the field. And his spirit is like a thunderous explosion welcoming spring. Although he has not yet revealed the nose, he knows who the person is, therefore; hair, clothes, and others that can be made more beautiful, he immediately improved the shape and form. His face was smooth clean, not spared from the soft part of a handkerchief that almost always accompanied him. Oh, how beautiful. Nayu the ayu, with her natural face.
First of all Randu showed his head, as if to make sure in advance that everything is safe to control. Free of distractions and obstacles. Next, Randu immediately gave the first greeting gesture; both of his eyebrows were raised. His eyes were clamorous. His behavior was like a stray; intent was to search for a restroom, but instead found a dressing room. Or maybe at this time he is feeling as a groom's partner. Terrible, thinking he imagined it. But enough is now likened to a man who is trying to get the love of the adorable girl, in the night of an innocent week, even though this is during the day.
The right hand is proud at the door post, while the left hand is busy tidying up the hair hemispheres while whistling flirtatiously checking the 'atmosphere' under the folds of the base of his arms. Pretty convincing, no unpleasant smell. Then immediately stepped in to give up the face, which he currently felt was handsome. With thick black glasses, wearing a long-sleeved red checkered shirt shirt. Compatible with oversized cotton pants as his subordinates. Do not forget a tulip flower tucked behind the waist.
"Rampoo...!?" nayu said, "Come in, it's okay!"
Randu's daydreams are dispersed instantly by a soft and melodious cry, with a distinctive Malay dialect.
Yes sweetheart! reply, Randu.
"Wine.. oh Mayu..." Pandu approached slowly, rhythmically with his heartbeat. Imagination evolving. 'You want what you?' Pandu hit his head and shook it a few times. In a split second, he almost turned to his imaginary world.
"Randu!? You're all right!?" tanya Nayu looked at the strange behavior of Randu.
"Ti don't. Whahuh? Haduuh I mean I'm nothing... Alaa... I mean, I'm fine!" answer Randu as soon as possible, stammering, tongue-tied.
Nayu deliberately showed more of her ailing aura, even though the reality had been much better. Even just overnight his health was almost restored. What a miracle that is contained in Randu. He leaned lazily on his pillow, waiting for Randu to approach. Where did this guy disappear to a few days ago? What did he do all that time? Getting lost? Or just a walk, which is not strange for Randu? Such a question popped up in his head. But all these questions were of little importance to him now, suddenly forgotten, when the body and soul had given them all to the vision; and now Randu was before him.
"How are you doing?" tanya Randu who suddenly had been standing straight beside Bayu.
"It's a little better."
Nayu suspects that her father or mother has told her a lot about her falling ill. He felt a little embarrassed, thinking about the cause of his illness. Enough to point out the rain and heat that became the culprit.
Nayu's feelings are at first glance disturbed given the 'last time' incident'. He felt very guilty, regretting everything that had happened. Moreover, every look with Randu like this time, the burden of the heart was getting stronger against him. Pouring his soul in humiliation. He wants to be honest, reveal the secrets stored, but he is afraid it will make things worse. However, on the other hand, he wanted to cover up his cheating, forever, keeping things running smoothly, but he felt it was fooling himself as well as Randu. As stupid as he closed his eyes, and deliberately pretended to forget his belief in his feelings; after Randu uttered a sentence that made his past and upcoming suny days tremble, when he knew he would never be alone again: "I want to own a lake, and live there for the rest of my life." At that time Nayu was very happy to hear it, and he believed Randu would make it happen. In his residence. He is sure, sure.
Although the eyes are not the mouth, which can explain something literally, but Nayu feels uneasy with the behavior of her own eyes. He was worried that Randu could find out his heart.
They were both silent a thousand languages, harboring despair. Each is busy sorting through, what thoughts are worthy and first expressed. Randu was hesitant to explain his disappearance, while Nyu felt awkward asking about the flower garden and pond.
Meanwhile, the time kept turning, enough to make the rice porridge breakfast menu change from warm to cold, enough to bring a little change of atmosphere that had shackled the words and behavior to be benign and soft.
Randu seemed to be looking around for something, seeing him Naju speculated guessing, "His seat is near the table." Then threw his gaze at the window.
Randu turned to something he knew, then walked closer. Seen on the table a bowl of rice porridge, making him shudder at a glance. Porridge or other soft foods are a disgusting menu for Randu. But he did not dare to deny that for some people this menu is very inviting to taste; sprinkled fried onions, beans, slices of fresh vegetables neatly arranged to form a circle, and don't forget a little tongue teaser sauce in the middle. "Mmmm..." Randu glanced at Nyu. "You haven't touched your source of energy at all."
The delicious rice porridge flashed in the mind of Naju, who inexplicably provoked his chest to tremble quietly. There was a naive demand choked in his pride, which he secretly expected, imagining. He wanted Randu to bribe him. And along with that continuing delusion, while events in the real world are experiencing the things he imagined. Randu carried a bowl of rice porridge, and next to him again lifted a chair.
Randu sat on the side of the bed, gently stirring his rice porridge.
Nayu began to be able to guess the intention of Randu's heart, exactly as he imagined. He wants to bribe me!
Nayu is worried about the arrival of her mother or father. If that were to happen, there would be no reason to protect yourself. From embarrassment, all wrong, misbehavior, which will leave clumsiness all day or maybe days. Embossed drowning, making him smile himself, misbehaving himself, ashamed of himself, biting his own lips. Will be friends in through the night, the fruit of memory in the solitude of daydreams, in the quiet moments of twilight, in the waiting at dawn, in the taste of food when eating dinner or lunch.
Thrilling, that was what Nayu felt as Randu extended his hand. I'm like a bird, oh no... Sayu according to him. He thrust out his head, opened his mouth, gave his wet, ripe and fresh lips, which made anyone envious of a spoon. His chin is getting meljong, beautiful swooping like a corner of death. His nose was towering, as high as a white cloud that revealed beauty on the threshold of a clear sky. His eyes painted a rainbow, emitting colors of happiness.
Randu pulled the spoon back from the mouth of Nayu, his hands trembling. Suddenly the head felt heavy. While the blood flowed profusely, and raged violently so it emptied into the chest.
"Why Randu," asked the plain Nayu. Randu is looking for answers. "You're not well...? Then let me feed myself."
Feeding the jungle pearls is a rare occurrence. How could Randu be willing to let go of this opportunity just like that. Even in the lake of fire, the right reason, determined he must find. Porridge ... mushy .. salem leaves, peas, mountains, rice fields ..., do not look... Concentrate on something else... Ah that's him..! "I'm phobic... I mean, soft food is scary to me. My stomach's in a fight to take it."
Nayu's mouth half agape at hearing that.
"To make the hand tremble...?" chirps Nayu doesn't believe. "You didn't swallow it... Just look at it, bribe me... But you look so scared." Nayu shook her head tragically. "really so? You're not making this up...?"
Randu assumes that Nayu is starting to understand what happened. Sandy started to misbehave. Nayu looked at full of investigation.
"Imagine, it's not a long distance with my hands." Randu lifted the spoon high in his fingers. But Nayu was more interested in the left hand of Randu who was lifting the bowl. Randu watched the threshing of Bayu, he quipped again, "What else is this, separated only by a bowl as thick as. half the width of the little finger." Then he deliberately made his hand that one also trembling.
Nayu nodded slowly, and made her feel that she should immediately be kind to not trouble Randu. "Pity you Randu. Here let me feed myself," this time Nayu insisted. He straightened his body, and immediately tried to snatch the spoon from Randu's hand. Making the young man forced to keep his hands away from the attack as quickly as possible.
"Here let me." Nayu leaned over her body again, and her hand immediately launched a second attack.
Randu wrongly estimated, Nyu was eyeing clothes on the abdomen. Interestingly enough strong and high, no doubt the navel of Randu was visible. But Nayu did not care, he continued to tug at the end of the shirt. While the grip of his left hand has also managed to hold the right wrist of Randu. And, it's an interesting pull.
"I promise I won't tremble, give me a chance. Trust me...!? I beg Nayu!" Randu insisted, begging, as if feeding people is very important.
"I can't believe it...! You're exaggerating... Just like rice porridge!" henk Nayu does not want to lose.
Randu and Nayu are finally able to get along. Like before, when there were only the two of them.
