Switch to ooki. He is currently unconscious in the middle of being seen by search squads from the city of Georgetown.
"Hey, look there! There's an old man who fainted." A soldier pointed at the ooki.
"Leave it, he's dead." Another soldier answered trivially.
Not listening to his comrade, the soldier got off his horse and checked the ooki's pulse.
"He's alive, call the doctor here! We're taking him to town now." The soldier picked up the ooki and they rushed off to the city.
...
The swift footsteps of horses from some of the search soldiers reached the city, driving the ooki to the care like people the search team had found before.
Kenzo and a few of us spent most of our time in the treatment post of the wounded, the, looking for our villagers who are left behind at all times and giving news to us who are displaced.
"Kenzo! Look at this, the ooki master is being led to the treatment room!" Shouted one of the residents from across.
"I'll be there soon." Kenzo said in a hurry.
In a hurry, the soldiers did not allow Kenzo to see the ooki for even just a moment. Ooki was taken to the treatment room.
"Sorry sir, but this man we're carrying is unconscious and should be checked out immediately." Said one of the soldiers bringing the ooki in.
Ooki who was still unconscious with a face of pain was brought into the rescue tent of the goblin invasion victims. Dozens of mats were filled with other injured patients. A couple of sisters and a revolving doctor treated them all simultaneously.
"Doctor, there's another patient, this one's badly injured." A nurse approached her doctor who was observing other patients.
"All right, put him to bed." Said the doctor.
The doctor undressed the ooki, saw both his wound and gave him the medicine he needed
"Ugh.." - UH...." Ooki groans in pain.
"Doctor, the patient seems to have regained consciousness." Say the sister while taking her an ooki pillow sitting on her bed.
"Where am I?" Speak ooki weakly.
"You are now in Georgetown, you were found lying in the middle of the street and brought here." Said one of the sisters.
"Before you ask more I want to ask and tell you a few things." The doctor interrupted the conversation.
"Who's your name and what's your job." The doctor took out a biodata paper and a pen.
"My name is ooki, I'm an advisor from Rondo village." Ooki.
"Do you have a family name?" Ask the doctor.
"Nothing, the villagers don't have such a name."
Kenzo and several other residents entered the treatment post after hearing the ooki's voice.
"Ooki, thank goodness you're safe." Kenzo and other residents.
"Emm not really good." The doctor denounced.
"What does that mean? What happened doctor?" Ask Kenzo.
"His wounds cannot be healed, and it's only a matter of time until the time comes." Said the doctor.
"Ohukk... Hikaru. Bring them here I have to tell them something." Say ooki while holding Kenzo's hand.
Hearing ooki's serious request. Kiara and I were suddenly called to the medical post. Without knowing why exactly we were brought here.
"Hikaru and Kiara have arrived." Said one of the residents who drove us to the ooki's place lying down.
"Master ooki, thank goodness you're safe." Kiara said with a sigh of relief.
"..." - ".Ooki was silent with a guilty face.
"What's wrong, why is your face like that." Kiara confused.
"I'm sorry, I'm really sorry." Tears began to appear on his face.
"I can't save Mr. Rondo. I let him die in front of my eyes." Her crying was unbearable. And she was crying out loud.
What do you mean ooki! What do you mean, Mr. Rondo is dead!" Kenzo did not accept and shouted at him.
"I'm sorry..." Ooki said and did not say another word.
"Mr Rondo...." Kiara could only cry hearing the news she heard.
"How is this, how is the fate of our village! What about our future!" The people were arguing with each other and started to panic.
They accused each other of this. About how this happened to our village. All the blame was placed on the staff and village officials. Especially the ooki who is considered the cause of grandfather's death.
"Look at ooki! Just for the sake of saving you, Lord Rondo must take his life!" The ravings of one of the citizens.
"See also Kenzo! If only we left the village together with Mr. Rondo, he would still be with us! But Kenzo left him!"
"It's Margaret the treasurer's fault! We should hire mercenaries for this goblin case!"
"It's Erika's fault..... It's Eugene's fault..... It's wrong....." Accusations of their desperate accusations they poured on the village officials without seeing themselves who were actually being protected.
I was there, seeing how they berate all the village higher ups for our defeat against the goblins. I saw them, who forgot all the hard work of those who built the village we once lived in. I saw them, they even forgot about the time of mourning and mourning for their dead grandfather. They forget all that and think only of themselves.
I was silent, not saying a word. I got out of the treatment tent and ran as far as I could. To a place where no one is watching. To a place where my sadness is unknown.
A rock hill outside the house of people, in an area where there is only a lake below and nothing else. I screamed and expressed all my emotions there.
"Aaaarrrrggghhhhhhh!!!" I screamed as hard as I could and then I cried. Crying as hard as I can until the sky goes dark. I can't accept this fact, why does a good person seem to have to die. He's not the kind of person who has enemies, he sometimes acts like a child but he's a loving person. She likes to go to citizen party invitations even though she says it's just for the sake of meat. He's a good man, he doesn't deserve to die.
After crying I just sat there sad on the hill. Remembering all the memories and trying to accept this reality.
"If you want to die, at least say a farewell that's worth your heartless grandfather!" I screamed for myself, and I cried again.
"At least let me thank you stupid! Let me thank you for taking care of me all this time." I was crying stronger and I couldn't stop.
"At least let me call you father even once..."
Like everyone else, I was desperate. I also thought that if I were stronger I would be able to protect the village speechless
I was helpless on the hill.
"Hey iris, tell me how to turn the dead on." I asked him in desperation.
"A dead creature cannot be revived." Short iris speech.
"What do you mean! You are an all-knowing system. Oh I see, your system level is less than it is to answer my question." I said in frustration.
"You can't bring to life a dead man." Iris.
"Please, say anything! Myths or legends I don't care. Tell me how to turn on grandpa." I pleaded with the iris.
"The dead cannot be raised again." The iris broke my hope.
I became annoyed and hit the tree near me until my hands were filled with my own blood. I hurt myself to let go of my sadness.
After there was not a single weeping left that I could let out and blood pouring from my hands I decided to return to the refuge and rest.
I walked over to where Kiara and I were sleeping, I saw her face trying to hold back her crying.
"Hikaru, from wherever you are. I've been looking for you everywhere" Kiara came up to me and hugged me.
"Why is Brother Kiara so worried, I just went for a while." I lied while covering up my sadness.
"I'm very worried. I fully understand your sadness Hikaru. I am also devastated by the passing of Mr. Rondo. But you mustn't be rash. Right now it's only you that I have Hikaru. Please don't do anything to endanger yourself." Kiara hugged me tighter and frowned in front of me.
He's right, he's all I have. I have no one else but Kiara's sister. A person who was thrown into this world without parents and relatives. I only have him as my place to go home. I hugged him tightly and really in front of him.
Kiara let go of her embrace slowly. I wiped her tears and kissed her forehead. With a smile of relief that I can't describe she hugged me back and looked me in the face.
"From now on we'll take care of each other. I will be your big brother who takes care of you and you can be a strong brother who protects me. We won't be apart forever." Kiara said gently while stroking my face.
"I promise I'll protect you. And I'm not gonna let you get hurt even a little." My words reassured him while looking at his face.
That night, after the sad news we got. We are together trying to move forward. Without my grandfather by our side. Kiara and I decided to support each other as the last thing we each had. That night I swore to myself that I would always protect her.
We spent the whole night exchanging feelings. Tells about Grandpa's bad attitude and his lazy behavior. We managed to laugh and reminisce our memories with joy. Gather all the good things that are still left. We fell asleep after a long story.
