The Hidden Secret of the Temple of Light

Alex did not expect the underground room of the Temple of Light to be so vast. Paintings from the period after Lord Cthulhu decorated the walls and ceilings of the room.

After watching the painting for quite a while, Alex remains unable to search for clues as to where the God Force of Hercules is hidden.

He started to worry, it could be that there was already a party taking it first. Before killing the Vice-Chief of the Imperial Academy, he heard Hendrix's remark saying he had learned the mystery about the ancient book that told the Power of the God Hercules.

“Dad... There's Grandpa sleeping there!” it was Sarah who broke Alex's daydream. “One pity... Is Grandpa sick or hungry?” sarah asked the long-bearded skinny old man sitting on the throne made of weathered-looking wood.

Alex panicked. “Quickly get away from there, Sarah!” his yell. But Sarah went into the room. “What is my daughter hypnotized?” his murmur accelerated his pace towards the room.

The old man sitting on the Weathered Wood Throne smiled and exuded a majestic aura and made anyone nearby feel comfortable, like a baby hugged by his birth mother.

Alex was surprised to feel the Aura emitted by the old man and he remembered in the painting earlier describing that this old man was the one who rebuilt the Temple of Light after the sealed period of God Cthulhu.

“Finally a figure endowed by the Gods appeared to this World.” The old man said softly while smiling warmly at Sarah, a butterfly of light flew towards Sarah. However, before the butterfly hit Sarah's body, Alex immediately brushed it off and the butterfly of light disappeared.

The old man kept a warm smile looking at Alex, while Sarah was confused as to why her father had destroyed the beautiful butterfly of light.

“What do you mean about the figure that the Gods endow... and who are you?” alex asked cautiously, fearing that his daughter might be used for the benefit of the Temple of Light.

As a human who had lived Two Lives, Alex certainly felt familiar with the actions of this old man. In the novel or film, Sarah may be raised to be a Hero to face the resurrected Demon God.

Whatever the reason, Alex will not allow his daughter to be taken advantage of by the Temple of Light because the fate of this World is not the responsibility of one chosen person. Alex just wants his daughter to live a happy life, if anyone tries to tease him then Alex will destroy them despite the life stakes.

“I'm sorry for not introducing myself first and directly sending the knowledge of Magic Elements to your daughter even if you eliminate her, ” said The old man still looks calm and smiles warmly. “I am a Saint who serves the God Hercules and has lived thousands of years.”

“Saint?” Alex was surprised to hear that. “Means Saint has lived in the time of God Cthulhu sealed? Is it true that God Hercules saved his power to use against God Cthulhu when he escaped from the Seal?” curious investigation.

The old saint did not directly answer Alex's question. He closed his eyes long enough to dig out his fading memories.

“You mean you have seen the main body of Lord Cthulhu, because it is only there that the God of Hercules left a clue about the power he left behind,” said the old Saint as he let out a long sigh. “Before the God of Hercules and the Gods disappeared from this World, the God of Hercules told me that one day the Seal of the God of Cthulhu will disappear and the God of Cthulhu will cause havoc again. To defeat him, the God Hercules said that Goddess Luna foretells the future and only Swordsman who rules over all the Elements can defeat the God Cthulhu, but ..”.

The old Saint looked sad and asked Alex to approach him because he did not want Sarah to hear his words.

“I expected you would say that, because all parents will definitely protect their children whatever the risk,” said the old Saint sighed deeply. “This world seems to be perishing. but Heroes are always born in the moments approaching that destruction.”.

“I will tell you, actually the Power left behind by the God Hercules is on the Statue in the courtyard of the Temple of Light. Just destroy the Statue, then its power will flow to you.”

“However, keep your Daughter away when destroying that Hercules God Statue, because that Power will flow on your Daughter; all God Power is left specifically for the users of all Magic Elements.”

“Alright, my strength is getting weaker and can no longer linger with you guys. See you, Sarah!” The warm smiling old saint looked at Sarah and immediately closed his eyes.

Alex actually wanted to ask where the other Divine Powers were stored, but he did not do so because the old Saint had to rest.

“Well Sarah, let's go back to the Inn and tomorrow we pick up your mother to the Everlasting Forest,” Alex said as he carried Sarah.

Sarah was so happy to hear that they were going to pick up Mother whom she had never seen before.

“Why not go now, Dad?” sarah can't wait to see her mother soon.

Alex pinched Sarah's tiny cheek and said, “Dad there's still a bit of work to be done. Don't you want to go around Ella City? Our mumpung is in the largest City in the Grandland Continent.”

Sarah immediately nodded her head and said, “How about a culinary tour? Last morning I had a Cake Pai and Cake Caprese Restaurant in front of the Inn, and it was so delicious!”

Alex agreed. He was also curious if the culinary in Ella City had grown rapidly. In the past, when he was still the Prince, the two names of food mentioned by Sarah did not exist in Ella City and both foods were actually typical food from Europe.

Alex wondered if there was an Isekai Protagonist appearing in the Grandland Continent or was it the result of the Legendary Chef's experiment. His strongest guess was that it was the result of the Legendary Chef's experiment, because if a figure from another World appeared in Ella City, then that figure would be recruited by the Hazel Empire.

“Eh, why did you guys get into the basement?” The Sacred Girl of the Temple of Light was shocked to see Alex and Sarah coming out of the door that was connected to the underground chamber of the Temple of Light.

“Ha-ha-ha.. I actually want to go to the bathroom and I think there's a bathroom, uh.. It's just a large empty hall,” said Alex berkilah.

The Sacred Girl frowned and looked suspicious that Alex was teasing the Light Temple Saint. He immediately inspected the old Saint, whereas Alex immediately left the Temple of Light.
