99. Decisions.

Xena stared at Darent sharply as well as the other way around.

"So let's talk like 2 adults now" Xena said without turning her gaze to the old man before her.

"Well.and the first thing I want to ask you is, Why did you come back? ".

"Don't I say three years ago I'll come back one day and why you're still asking".

Darent sighed loudly before returning to talk to Xena.

"So.... You deliberately came back to challenge me so?? ".

"What is your term Darent?" asked Xena with a loud sigh in response to Darent's accusation.

"If not then what?".

"I know your relationship and King's been deteriorating because of our decision back then so I went back in addition to taking my right to help you mend your relationship with King which looks very bad and I'm sure that's weighing you down".

"So... You mean to be a hero in the middle of our problems? ".

"Anggab only like that because I don't want to later Alea to see that the relationship between her grandfather and Daddy was not good and it was caused by the crazy decision of mommy and her grandfather first".

This time Darent laughed out loud enough to hear what Xena said to him.

Xena just kept quiet while waiting for Darent's laughter to finish talking to the man again.

"I think now I understand why men can be crazy about you" Darent said with the rest of the laughter still adorning his face.

"That guy you mean?", Xena doesn't seem to like hearing Darent say about her because it's like she's been flirting with men all along.

"Yes.you don't know Xena Sander".

"I haven't used that name since 3 years ago" Xena replied, cutting Darent's speech.

"Sorry, your name has changed to Xena Maxime now".

Xena silently waited for Drent to continue speaking.

"So all this time especially after your ex-husband Edward Sander died many men who were silent to like you because in their eyes besides being beautiful you are also smart but you never once pay attention to them as fellow people who being in this room I'm really surprised that there's never been a rumor about you after Edward died".

"That's... a lot of things made me decide not to want to be involved with any man after Edward was gone and try to focus on my career to pursue my lost youth in marriage to Edward".

"Then what is your relationship with Oliver also to pursue your youth that you did not have time to feel first".

"Partly yes, because since getting to know Oliver all the principles of my life seemed to be lost, he could turn me into a person who was very different from the visible impression and... it makes me feel alive in real terms.Do you understand what I mean Darent?", asked Xena with a loud sigh.

"Yes, because I also had that feeling with my ex-wife".

"So to be honest for these three years I lost my sense of life and survived only for Alea".

"So that's why you came back".

"Yes, I need a King in my life even though this is not supposed to be but I can no longer be in a time without him like that time. I'm sorry I made the decision to leave him then so now as a Xena can you allow me to be with your son, Mr. Darent Maxime, maybe I'm not the woman you'd expect to be your son-in-law but my feelings for King were bigger than her lovers all along and now that's all I can promise you because you know it isn't,I don't have anything to support me'.

"I can probably be sure of how you feel but what about Oliver's feeling do you believe he loves you as much as you're feeling right now for him".

Xena sighed hearing it but did not reply.

"Now maybe he still likes you because your face and body are also curious about you but in a few years your golden age will fade while he will shine more not only in the career field but also in terms of appearance how will you survive by his side with the many temptations that await you later".

"I don't want to think about what hasn't happened and prefer to focus on what's in front of my eyes about our relationship because if I think too much about what's going to happen later,it will never make us happy".

Darent was speechless and only began to speak again after a long time of silence.

"So it seems like this time your determination to be together is very big, isn't it? ".

"Just like that Darent".

Darent flicked his shoulders before replying again.

"Then it's up to you, 'cause even though I tried my hardest to separate you if your intentions were to be together, it was,just as big I think it's useless so as Oliver's father I just want you to not demand much from him even if you're his wife later,especially about the treasure because I won't give you anything as your wedding gift but it's different with your two children.

They'll still have their rights as my heir".

"Well, I'm not going to take that into account because honestly now I feel tired if I still have to think about how to find more treasure, at my age now my family is more important than anything".

"Well remember what you said, I won't interfere with your life as long as you keep your word".

"Yes. I'll do it Darent don't worry".

After saying that Xena stood up from her seat and walked out of Darent's room without looking back at the old man.

Darent just stared at Xena's back without saying anything else until she disappeared out of her study.

After exiting Xena walked towards Oliver's room to check on Alea.

Xena opened the door and was surprised that the room was empty.

Xena intended to turn out but her steps came to a halt hearing the door of the room closed behind her and a pair of hands wrapped around her waist.

"King. ", call him by trying to turn toward Oliver who is behind him.

"Hemmm" Oliver replied, grinning his head back at Xena's neck.

"In..where is Alea...? ",he asked by holding back the amused from what Oliver did.

"He's with Vania and Daddy now, why baby? ",asked Oliver by starting to spread his lips along the back of Xena's ear.

"I have to check on Alea because since yesterday we haven't met.." replied Xena with a body that began to bristle due to what Oliver did to her.

"He's fine Daddy loves Alea so much so don't worry about Alea too much because now we have to do while Alea is with them".

"King... ",Xena could no longer continue what she was about to say as Oliver intensified his attacks.
