Sweet Curse

Sweet Curse
Figuring Out

This was the first time Juna had read a book in this short amount of time. In just a day he finished the book that was almost 5 cm thick. It was also her first time reading a book outside of a textbook.

A novel that tells the story of love between a goddess and a winged demon. It is clearly said at the beginning of the story that the demon disguised itself as a human and seduced the goddess.

Although opposed by the family, but the goddess still insisted on being human and chose to live with the devil after being consumed by his seduction.

Even the goddess chose to give up her power to her younger sister in order to become a full-fledged mortal.

The demon who had originally only been aiming for the power of the goddess felt futile with all her efforts. She had not expected the goddess to become a human without the strength she had before.

But the devil is not silent. He was looking for another way to become a god. The goddess is a goddess. Despite being human, there was still a core energy stored within him. Later that energy can only appear and be passed down to his son.

That way the devil waited patiently until he finally had a child with the goddess and waited until the child was an adult. The energy in him is perfect.

During the wait he was also still trying to find a gap to retrieve the energy of the goddess protected by his younger sister.

Juna closed the thick novel. He began to find out who the author and publisher of the book was but no name was on the cover. He also tried to find articles on the internet but did not get any results.

This book is like it never existed. Juna felt this book was deliberately placed there so that Lisa or herself could read it.

Juna believes the story in this book is not just a fairy tale. This must be the story that tells the meeting of his mother and father.

So all this time he and his mother have been deceived by his father who turned out to be a cruel demon.

"I've read it." Juna said as the two of them were in class.

"Have you finished a book that thick overnight?" Lisa did not believe it.

"It seems I know who the god you helped or rather the goddess you helped."

"really? Who's she?"

"If my guess is right. She was the sister of my mother and my mother was also a goddess. Maybe my aunt is in danger now. My father is hunting her. We have to help my aunt."

"But how can we help? Even his existence we don't know."

"I have an idea. How about after school we go to the hill behind the school. But this is gonna be very dangerous. I won't blame you if you refuse to come along."

"How dangerous?"

"You remember the first time you found me in the rain of nights behind school?"

Lisa nodded in spirit. He had been waiting for Juna to tell this. But Juna never told me. Lisa forgot to ask again.

"That was the first time I dared to investigate into my father's weirdness. He went to the hill behind the school and I followed him. But I can't even get into the woods. A flock of birds chased me until I fell into the abyss."

"You fell into the abyss? How do you get back to school?"

"I don't know. As I remember I fainted and when I woke up I heard your voice and Jeslyn chatting. That's how I asked you guys for help."

"Did your aunt bring you here?"

"Most likely yes."

"good. It's confirmed. We'll go into the woods tonight." Lisa said steadily.

"Good."

Jeslyn looked at Lisa in wonder after arriving at the room, suddenly she packed a few things. Lisa looks like she's going to travel a long way.

Curious Jeslyn got out of her bed and approached Lisa. Because he called several times, Lisa seemed to not hear him at all.

"Where are you going?" Jeslyn asked right next to Lisa's ear.

"Wow.wow..wow.you surprised me."

"I should have said that." Lisa was upset.

"Where are you going to pack?"

"really. I haven't told you. It seems like Juna and I know everything. It turns out that Juna's mother is a goddess and her father is a demon. The point is that Juna's father wants to take his wife's energy in order to become a god, just like you said."

"..."

"Possibly the snake I helped yesterday was Aunt Juna, her mother's little sister. Me and Juna are planning to go to the back hill of the school tonight." Lisa pointed her index finger at Jeslyn. "Don't tell anyone!"

"Yes. yeah.."

Lisa is back doing her job packing things.

"This time you're not taking me?" Ask Jeslyn curiously.

"I don't want anything like yesterday to happen again. You know I'm going up the hill not for fun."

"But what if I want to come. Ohhhhh..."

"But it's going to be dangerous. You just stay here. Get help if Juna and I don't come back soon."

"Who are you looking for help? Will the teacher believe my words?"

"It's up to you to ask anyone for help. Don't tell me everything. Just tell me we disappeared in the woods."

"How many days are you going?"

"The plan is only for the end of the week, but we don't know what's going to happen there."

"Are you not afraid?"

"Of course I'm scared. You know I'm afraid of ghosts. But how else? I've been dragged into this."

Lisa finished packing her things then she stood up and tried the backpack she had tidily arranged. He didn't expect it to turn out to be quite a lot of luggage. Though he had already reduced some items because it did not fit.

"Is that not too heavy?" Jeslyn asked worriedly looking at the bag that Lisa was carrying was even bigger than her body.

"I think it's pretty light. Surprisingly enough I could lift it without any difficulty." Lisa tried to walk from the end of the bed to the door.

"See. It's quite light." Lisa shook her body to the right and to the left. It shows that the bag is really light.

"Yes, you have god energy." Jeslyn just woke up.

"Oh yeah, I forgot that one. It's just worth it."

"Then I'd better get going. Before Juna waited too long."

"alright. I wish you all the best. May everything go well and all this end happily."

"Yes thank you."

"I'm sorry I can't help you much." Jeslyn.

Lisa disagreed. "Instead, you've helped us so much. If you don't exist, maybe until now I still feel myself a pesky carrier. At least now I know that's not why all this bad stuff happened to me."

Jeslyn nodded in understanding. "Be careful. You must return home safely."

Lisa nodded slightly before exiting her room.
