Fresh Wind For Nameera

"There are actually other alternatives to leukaemia treatment besides spinal cord transplantation" said the doctor, who was like a fresh breeze in the ear of Ammara's mother.

"What is a doctor?" ask Ammara's mother back excited.

"Ustral cord blood transplant" said the doctor. "So in the umbilical cord of the baby there are several types of stem cells, one of which has the same stem cells as the spinal cord, morphology and molecular similar although the number is not much, even though the number is not much, but the effectiveness of treating leukemia is faster," he explained.

Ammara's mother frowned hearing the word cord blood, as if she had heard it.

"Silence, Mom. We will help find it, God willing there is, because not only from the family who can be a donor in this case, but other people can be suitable," said the doctor in the end.

-

Ammara's mother walks out of the doctor's room to Nameera's room. He was still thinking about what the doctor said about cord blood. Without delaying, the middle-aged woman immediately sent Zulaikha a message regarding what she had heard from the doctor this morning.

"I've heard of it, but where is it?" the monologue Mother Ammara asked herself.

Ammara's mother entered Nameera's room, her heart instantly feeling touched upon seeing the scene before her. Rafif, the boy was apparently feeding Nameera the food that had been delayed by him.

Her tears flowed, crying over the unfortunate fate that had befallen her children. Everyone must accept the reality of the separation of both parents because of his selfishness. First because he was tempted by the seduction of other men and the second because he did not accept if he had to share a husband with another woman.

It is common for every woman for the second reason, only she always feels that it is the punishment God gives due to her iniquity against her ex-husband.

After breakfast together, Tareeq rested again because of his body that was really uncomfortable. Fever and headache, that's what was felt, so inevitably, forced he did not enter the office today.

While the husband was resting in his room, Zulaikha took the time to clean the house. Starting from sweeping, mopping, to washing, all the work that he never again did after marriage is now back to work.

After finishing homework, Zulaikha checked her phone, this morning she was about to make a video call with Nameera as her regular activities as long as she could not see him. However, his plans are delayed when he sees a message from Ammara's mother.

Ammara's Mother

Zulaikha, the results of the mother's examination have come out, and the results are not suitable, but their doctor said they will look for cord blood that is suitable as another alternative to treat Nameera.

"Blood of the umbilical cord?" lirih Zulaikha after reading the message.

Still curious, Zulaikha was now startled by the sound of her phone ringing and it was a video call from Nameera. Not wanting to buy time, the girl immediately raised a call from her sister-in-law

The beautiful face of Nameera filled the screen of her phone. Although the girl's face looked so pale, but a sincere smile still he showed her.

"Assalamu 'alaikum, Nameera. How are you doing?" zulaikha begins his call.

"Wa'alaikum hail, thank God I feel much better, Brother Zul knows why?" Nameera replied while occasionally chewing food.

"Why?"

Nameera is now pointing her phone screen towards Rafif who is busy feeding her.

"Hay Rafif, Lord, you are smart and kind" he said, looking at the boy who was approaching his teenage years.

Zukaikha certainly knew the boy because as long as he could not see Nameera, every day he would make a video call and would always find the boy's face there.

"Sister, where is Tareeq's sister?" Nameera now turns the camera back to her face.

"He is resting in the room" replied Zulaikha.

"Now my sister is in a state of turmoil, my sister's sleep has never been better, and my days have been very empty. I have to admit, I miss Zulaikha very much, so please help out this time." Nameera imitated what she heard yesterday from her sister.

"What do you mean Nameera?" zulaikha asked confusedly.

"That's what Kak Tareeq said when he was desperate to find Brother, and in the end he came and asked for Kak Zul's number" said Nameera.

Zulaikha resumed his conversation with Nameera after he was silent for a while, it seemed he was so cool to talk to his Sister-in-law in the living room, evident from the smile that never receded from her face.

--

Meanwhile, Tareeq, who had been resting in Zulaikha's room and bed, was suddenly startled by the sound of his cell phone ringing. The man picked up the phone he had kept on the nightstand, thinking it was a call from the assistant, but the look on his face instantly turned flat when he saw the name on his phone screen.

"Qifty," inner man.

Tareeq saved his phone back to where it was. Really he did not want the woman again to disturb his household when he began to feel comfortable and happy with his wife.

One call finally stopped without being picked up by Tareeq. However, moments later, his phone rang again, but Tareeq ignored it anyway. Until the fourth call, then Tareeq raised him because he was so upset.

"Hello" said the man so coldly.

"Tareeq, I have important news about a donor who can heal your sister" the girl across the phone said quickly so that Tareeq would not turn her off.

"What's that?"

"Let's meet up so I can explain."

"Just explain it over the phone, I'm not going anywhere right now."

"I found a donor for your sister, but not the spinal cord, but cord blood."

"What?"

"If you want to know more, let's meet" Qifty said, turning off his phone unilaterally."

Tareeq soon got out of bed, after reading a message from Qifty regarding the address of the restaurant where they met this afternoon. The man was about to walk out of the room looking for Zulaikha's whereabouts.

The man's heart seemed to warm when he found his wife was busy making a video call with her sister. The sincere smile from the girl's face completely radiated naturally.

Tareeq chose to quietly look at Zulaikha from the doorway of the room until the girl finished her call. He then walked to the sofa and sat down beside Zulaikha and laid his body on the thigh of his wife.

The surprised Zulaikha was about to instantly move, but his hand was blocked by Tareeq.

"Let it be like this for a while" said the man, making Zulaikha now silently stare with a heartbeat that is getting faster, he does not know what to do at this time.

"How did Mom's test result match Nameera?" tareeq asked as he looked at Zulaikha's face.

"Mom's words, the results are not suitable, but the doctor said there are other ways to treat leukemia besides spinal cord transplantation," replied Zulaikha as he stared in any direction, he did not want to look at Tareeq lying on his thigh.

"What is cord blood transplant?" search Tareeq.

"Yes right. Wait, where do you know?" Zulaikha reflexively looked down at the husband's face, but in the next second he immediately raised his face again.

"Then, accompany me to lunch with Qifty, I want to know what else the plan is this time," Tareeq asked without answering Zulaikha's question.

"Meet Qifty? Why should I?" It felt like he was so reluctant to just meet with the gadisi.

"Because you're my wife."

"But if I go along, what he's planning to do to you could fail."

"Look down, I have an idea."
