Sari is a very tough woman. He comes from a very disciplined family. Sari is the youngest of four children. The condition of his family who live mediocre makes him trained to work since he was a child.
After studying in college, he was immediately proposed by a handsome man who had been his lover for approximately two years.
Wendi, that's her husband's name. Wendi comes from a family and is an only child. But when married to Sari he never expected anything from his parents and his parents also deliberately allowed his son to try himself to know how much life must be fought for.
It all really starts from zero. Wendi's job as a Civil Servant in one of the government offices in his area only earned a salary of approximately two million per month because he only finished High School. While Sari only works as an honorary power in one of the public schools as a teacher in the field of Indonesian language studies.
For more than a year they hitchhiked in-laws' house while raising capital to build a house. Thanks to the cleverness of the wife to reduce spending so that they can set up a simple house in the suburbs.
"Good day, Pa!" sapa Wira, their youngest child who is six years old and already sitting in the first grade of Elementary School.
"Eh, papa's son has gone home from school?"
"Yes Pa. There was a hero in school got this," he said, showing his work that was worth a hundred.
"Papa's son is great!" praise Wendi while showing a happy face.
"Said the teacher, tomorrow the hero must bring money to buy a package book,"
"If it's about money, ask the same mama dong! It's my mom who holds the money,"
Sari who heard the conversation of her husband with her son confirmed what had just been conveyed by her husband. As long as they were a married couple, Wendi always handed over all the salaries to him.
Over time, the need grew, making Sari have to really rack her brain to manage the finances in her family. The two girls are the first and second children have started to grow up and of course need additional costs.
As a tough woman, she never showed her disheveled face even though she was in distress. Lucky because he also has income although not how much but at least he can use to cover some of his household needs.
"Daddy, today how do you just cook a side dish of tempeh and know?" asked Wendi with a lethargic face.
"The money is just enough to buy tempeh and know, Mas." replied Sari as is.
"The husband coming home from work should be treated to good food so that his energy is restored because all day long it has been working for a living. Uh, tired of coming home even treated to tempeh and tofu," said Wendi as she passed leaving the dining table.
Sari could only stand pecking with erratic thoughts. Twelve years she lived a married life, but only this time she heard her husband nag. During this time they also often eat only with side dishes and tofu but her husband never commented anything.
"Plac!" the loud sound of the room door being slammed by Wendi made Sari startled and trembling.
Sari thought, maybe her husband is in trouble. He took a long breath and breathed out violently.
In the last two months, his family has held four events. Three mourning events and one wedding. Already often she did if there was such an activity, Sari never used the money given from her husband.
Until the afternoon, Wendi had not yet left the room. Sari's eyes kept watching the door of the room and hoped her husband would come out to eat soon, but until the magrib the door was still tightly closed.
At night when the food was ready at the table, Sari tried to dare to knock on the door and soon the door opened.
"Let's eat, Mas!" invite Sari with doubt because she saw the gaze of her husband who was less friendly.
Without a word, Wendi stepped out of the room towards the dining table. Salted fish without other spices have been presented at the table to make his heart cobbled but he was already unable to resist hunger so forced to eat with a tangled face.
Sari and her children dined together because this has been a tradition for a long time. But this time it was very different because they ate without any joking. The children also understood that his father was angry.
After finishing eating, Wendi immediately stood up and left the dining table without waiting for his wife and children who were still temporarily eating. Seeing that, Sari and her children just looked at each other full of question marks.
"Ma, what is papa's other attitude?" tasya asked sadly.
"Yes Ma, it looks like papa is having a problem" Tiara continued.
"Mama doesn't know either. Come on, you guys finish the food first!" sari answered to divert her children's minds.
They continued eating without a sound anymore. Wira, the youngest child had already finished his food and then went to the living room to watch his favorite cartoon.
Tonight Sari ate only a little rice. Her throat seemed to be suffocating because her mind was upset with her husband's attitude. He went into the room and lay down. Trying to close his eyes immediately but his efforts were in vain. Until twelve o'clock, he still could not sleep.
Hearing the sound of the television still noisily he got up and walked to the middle room. Apparently her husband had fallen asleep in the room without turning off the TV before.
Sari walked around to turn off the TV and went back to her room to rest. Her mind was very disturbed because it was still one week she had to cash in on her husband's new shopping payday again. I don't know what time his eyes closed that night.
In the morning he woke up as usual to prepare all the needs of his husband and children.
He started frying the leftover rice overnight with vigor until all his children were ready at the dinner table. Her husband was still in the room despite being called by his son for breakfast.
"You have breakfast first, you'll come later" said Sari softly. He knew his son was nervous because he was afraid of being late for school.
"Yes, Ma" Tasya, Tiara, and Wira answered almost simultaneously. The three children also ate fried rice made by the mother. They seem to like it so much that they eat it so well.
