16. Preliminary Investigation

That day, Sari had not had time to tell Rani because the bell had rung as a sign to go home. Rani is very curious but she has to be patient because it seems her best friend hastily packed to go home after hearing the bell.

From school to night, Rani cannot calm down because she keeps thinking about her best friend. He tried to send him a message but was not stolen despite having checked two.

The next day at school, during the break, Rani immediately meets Sari who is still not out of class. Rani accidentally meets him in the classroom so that the two can freely tell stories because all the students have gone out of the room.

Sari's eyes look swollen because last night he let out a lot of tears. Bad thoughts continued to rage in his mind. At about 23:30 he came out of the room to fetch water in the kitchen and he saw his husband playing on his phone, suspecting that Wendi was chatting with someone. After drinking she returned to her room and until late at night her husband did not come to rest.

Rani is concerned about the sadness experienced by her best friend. He let Sari spill all her heart through crying for a while. After Sari's cries began to subside, Rani began to persuade her to share her story.

"I will always be there for you. Tell me what exactly is going on?" persuade Rani while patting her best friend's shoulder gently.

Sari let out a long breath and exhaled slowly. After feeling somewhat calm he began to tell her the new problem at hand.

Rani seemed to not believe the story that had just been conveyed by Sari made herself fixated for a while.

"You have to face this problem with a cold head because not necessarily everything you have in mind about your husband is true. We need to find evidence first. I know it hurts a lot, but try to be tough and mature because don't let what Wendi says be true then your position will be cornered. Good thing you're not sick." Rani takes her opinion seriously.

"Thank you for the advice! Trus, what's our next plan for finding evidence?" ask Sari.

"I will watch over Caca's movements and will report to you immediately if there are any irregularities!"

"OK,"

"But remember, from now on you can't be too late with this problem. Show that you are a strong woman who is able to face the storms of life. As long as there is no evidence that we have, be reasonable towards your husband lest he be reckless if he does not receive your attention and good service!"

"Thank you my good and mature friend, I will try and do your advice."

Rani is older than Sari, which is why she does not hesitate to give advice to her best friend even Sari has been considered as a brother.

Now Sari's face has started to look normal and she tries to act ordinary especially when she is at home. Even Wendi was also pleased with the change of his wife even though deep down there was still a gaping wound.

For almost two months, Wendi disappeared from home every Saturday. Saturday is a holiday for him. Sari has been trying to find out where her husband goes every Saturday but until now there has been no answer. Wendi also left the house without saying goodbye so it is natural that his wife was suspicious.

"Try to keep an eye on your guests, anyone who is visiting his house at this time because Wendi has disappeared from the house since this morning. Before I left for school, he had already left first and had not come home yet." Sari sent a message to Rani via the WhatsApp app. Undeliverable. Rani accidentally goes to Caca's house to visit. Caca was very busy packing food in large quantities.

There was actually Caca's parents' house in this town but he didn't want to live with his parents. He prefers to live alone without interference from the family who always protested a lot of his personal life.

Caca had a stash during his stay in Jakarta and that's what he used to pay for the down payment on the housing he lives in now. Housing installments make it have to work hard in order to get rupiah to cover the installments.

I don't think the food they're packing is done. Caca then said goodbye to Rani to deliver the food immediately for fear if the subscription turned to others. Three times the clerk from this office ordered food to Caca, which is why he did not want a defect in their eyes.

Rani salutes with the spirit possessed by Caca but she returns with her best friend's story. Rani thought, was Sari wrong? Or maybe there are women who are very similar to Caca?

After Caca left, Rani went back to her house. He immediately sent a message to Sari that Wendi was not with Caca.

The house inhabited by Rani is also the housing bought by her parents. Dimas, Rani's husband is from the village. His job every day is to sell groceries. When Rani was already a PNS she modelled her husband to sell at home because Dimas only finished Junior High. His father used to work at Rani's parents' house as a security guard and that's where Rani fell in love with him. Intentionally his father took him to the city and the plan will be found a job because in the village only become homeless.

Only a few months he worked as a clining service in Pak Bambang's office. Rani asked to be proposed to him. Initially Rani's parents strongly opposed her daughter's will as her only child but at that time Rani threatened both her parents that if anyone dared to block her love for Dimas then she would commit suicide. Both of his parents then married them.
