The Part 40

After breakfast, Briyan and I cleaned up the messy house and yard. Actually, Briyan or I could have paid someone else to clean up. But again, I don't want to do that.

"What do you want to do??" I asked Briyan.

"Otherwise? I've been holding this broom complete with a rasp to help you." His voice glared his eyes at me.

"Here!" I snatched the broom and the rasp in Briyan's hand.

But Briyan brushed off my hand and kept away the broom and the rasp she was holding.

"Get out of here, I'll sweep!" Briyan put down the crackle and started sweeping.

I tried to take a broom from him.

"If you keep trying to snatch a broom from me, don't blame me for kissing you!"

"A—pa?!" I was wide awake to hear it.

"Why are you surprised now?? isn't that what husbands and wives do?? aren't we legal now?"

Gluey!

I was listening to this boss talk.

"Just clean up the right one. Okay?" I hurried to leave him.

"Aren't you helping me??

"No!"

I ran away leaving him to the kitchen. Now I'm cleaning up the rubbish that was scattered.

I was stunned to see my sisters and also my mother coming out of the room in sexy clothes. They wear shorts almost as short as *********they are.

"Dewi. mother does not sell today, while later in the afternoon mother must return to the village. You still have money, right, make us on the way home later??" ask mommy.

I was expecting it, mom would ask me for money. But it's not a big deal.

"Actually me and Briyan still owe the same food caterer of 3 million. I only paid half last night."

"God...." My mother's face turned sad. "How is this. I have no money at all. To get here, I borrowed money from a neighbor." His expression became sad.

Sena walked towards us both.

Sena's words successfully made me emotional up. Suddenly Briyan appeared.

"I'll give you my salary this month to go home, you guys take it easy." Said Briyan rushing to the room and taking the money.

Briyan came back and gave the money to the mother.

"Use this money well, for you to use home later."

"Terim—"

I haven't had time to take all the money and say thank you, my father has taken all the money from me.

"Thank you kind son-in-law, you've given us money for the fare home. But, your mother is very wasteful especially Sena and Melati. Better this money let the father who holds it, it must be safer."

After saying that dad pocketed the money and passed from before us. This incident made my emotions grow. If Briyan wasn't in front of me, I can make sure I'm going on a rampage right now.

I walked out from before them all in a fit of annoyance. I went to the backyard to clean it up and collect the trash.

All day I clean the house, all I do without the help of my sisters. Only the mother who seemed to sweep the house intermittently. Until I saw them leave without saying goodbye.

"Where is everyone??" asked Briyan who had just woken up from a nap.

"Where else? must be wasting the money you gave me this morning" I said casually.

"Let it be, they deserve to be happy too, right?" Briyan sat in front of the backyard door.

I was exhausted just sitting under the starfruit tree that was nearby. I sat on my back because I felt my feet so stiff and sore.

I didn't comment on Briyan's words because my frustration wasn't gone. Until the evening, my family came home from spending money, they seemed to carry paper bags and some plastic grocery bags.

I burned the trash I had collected, I heard my family laughing cheerfully with the groceries they brought. I don't want to talk or complain about their attitude towards Briyan.

Mom came in a hurry to get to Briyan.

"My son-in-law, thank you for giving me so much money, you know. With that money I can buy decent clothes, my clothes have been damaged a lot. So are your sisters-in-law Sena and Melati."

"Yes ma'am, you're the same."

"By the way, I'm sorry my attitude yesterday is very judes to you. I didn't think you were a very nice guy and not a stingy guy, and you're also very handsome." Say mother while pinching Briyan's cheek with anxiety.

The fire continued to burn rubbish in front of me and Briyan in the twilight that was getting darker.
