THE BAD BOY OF MANHATTAN

THE BAD BOY OF MANHATTAN
Chapter 46. The Start The Band.

"You'll hold the lead guitar ...." Darren played some broken notes with the synthesizer effect of his guitar.

Elric rounded his eyes. "You serious? You don't want to take that position? You're the front man in this band." He turned the guitar tuning page in his hand.

"I picked up vocals and rhythm (background guitar)." Darren chuckles. "You're playing experimental, aren't you?"

"I learned some techniques. But, lately I've been trying to get into industrial and deathgrind."

Darren nodded. "I think we're in one frequency. You fit the criteria of the guitarist I was looking for."

Elric smiled broadly. "What's the first project we're going to be working on in the near future?"

"Hm ...." Darren explores the sound of guitar distortion he just set. "Building chemistry between personnel. Especially with you, Elric."

Sure oes. He's new to the band. Although his guitar playing skills are very qualified, he still has to adjust and align his ideas with the old personnel. "What genre did this band take?" ask Elric.

"Experimental death metal." Darren replied. "I'm actually a lot inspired by the metal music of the '90s. There are also inspired by Rebellion and Hellbound," he said. "We can't deny that our old men are musically brilliant (we can't deny that our fathers are brilliant in music)," he continued, glancing at Elric who looked up to his thin smile.

"I lean more towards Rammstein and Nine Inch Nails." Elric. Although he was also amazed by Hellbound, but he was lazy to admit it.

"Ah, pure industrial metal," kekeh Darren. "I like them too (i like them too)."

"Industrial deathgrind, how about that (how)?" Elric expressed his idea for the genre that will be carried by Bad Boy Of Manhattan.

At that time, two other members, Samuel and Jacob, had just joined Elric and Darren in the studio. "Talking about genre, you got an idea, Elric?" Samual the drummer asked. It seemed like it was meant to test up to where the boy's knowledge of extreme music was.

"I've just conveyed my idea to Darren" Elric said.

"Industrial deathgrind" continued Darren, looking at Samuel and Jacob.

"Hmm ... not far with our previous genre, is it?" samuel said. Elric was destined to join them.

"You can write the lyrics, Elric?" ask Jacob.

Elric raised both his hands. "Piece of cake (easy)." Lips throbbing.

"Just think of it like homework. You make one song, with your own arrangement, and you demonstrate it to us ... next week" said Darren, who was immediately approved by Samuel and Jacob.

Elric smiled broadly. He was so excited when his new friend gave him the confidence to make one song. Such an opportunity that had not been given by his father. He was only trusted to help Hellbound on several stages.

Meanwhile, with the three of them, Elric felt like he was himself. Despite the fact that he is Nathan Bradley's son.

Purest warrior shall raise the mystikal

Godly, he shall be fierce!

Same age as his guider!

Translater af beyond in his word

The apprentice of life!

I am grateful for the gift

You'll be proud!

I will asure this, I promise

May my wrath be fruitful

If Elric is already struggling with his guitar, then the narrow room feels like a music studio. Sorcery is the title of a song he wrote a while ago. It tells the story of the struggle of a patriot defender of the universe. Where did Elric get the inspiration to write the lyrics that mean so deep? Of course from what he saw in his daily life. How human civilization in the present day is starting to mess up. Whether in politics, human relations, even natural resources are drained out so that it threatens the sustainability of wildlife that should be able to live safely in their habitat.

The arrangement he made was as chaotic as possible. He matched it with Darren's vocals which he thought were quite unique. The young man could change techniques quickly, as Elric sped up or slowed down the tempo of his guitar.

Not to forget Elric recorded the arrangement of his song on paper. She deliberately followed Emma's old fashion style, noting everything she thought was important into the book. Speaking of Emma, did the girl come home?

Meanwhile behind Elric's bedroom door, Emma who was about to knock on the door undoes her intentions when the noise of Elric's guitar suddenly stops. I don't know why Emma hesitated to knock on the boy's bedroom door. He stuck his ear to the door eavesdropping on what Elric was doing after the sound of his guitar stopped.

Emma almost fell down when the door opened from the inside. Fortunately, he was restrained by Elric's body standing behind the door.

"Emma ... What are you doing?" ask Elric in astonishment.

Emma hurriedly pulled herself away from Elric. "Owh .. I .. wanted to offer you dinner, but .. I heard you were busy." He tucked the child's hair behind the ear. He then stepped into the kitchen where he had placed two packs of burritos on the table.

"I'm done." Elric followed Emma's steps and now sits opposite the girl. "Thanks" she said as Emma gave her a plate of burritos. "You always buy us dinner. Does that not make your spending a lot?"

"It's free from the restaurant." Emma nibbled on the flour roll containing that mix of beans, meat and cheese.

"Hmm .. If every day we get free food from your restaurant, we can save money" Elric joked up his two thick eyebrows.

Emma laughing. "That only applies when I work more than my working hours."

Elric glanced at Emma. Her pretty face looks tired. Is Emma working so hard? Is it because he has to pay a student loan every month?

While chewing on his burrito, Elric began to think of something. What can I do to help Emma? Suddenly he remembered his sports car in Greenwich. Elric smiled happily.
