THE BAD BOY OF MANHATTAN

THE BAD BOY OF MANHATTAN
Chapter 50. Angel Without Wings

"Welcome back, Brother." Elric gave a welcome hug to Noah who had returned home that day to East Harlem. Michael and Ryan hugged the young man.

"Well, it's great to be back breathing free air." Noah clasped onto the shoulders of Elric and Michael who sat to his right and left. "It's nice to see your faces again" he continued.

Elric smiling. He's happy Noah's back in East Harlem. Despite his bad reputation, Noah is an honest man. He has an ugly side that sometimes plummets, but he also has a good side that makes Elric feel comfortable hanging out with him.

"You still work for Fat Tony, El?" asked Noah while patting Elric's shoulder.

"Not anymore" replied Elric making Noah furrow his brows.

"Why? Then how do you earn an income to live alone here? Considering you don't want your parents to interfere."

"Elric is back playing music, Noah. He's got a band now." Ryan asked his brother's question.

"Oh yeah? But ... Is that enough?"

Elric smiled broadly revealing his adorable canine teeth. "You don't have to worry about that."

Noah thunts. "Alright .. I don't seem to have to worry about it." The young man chuckled as he patted Elric on the shoulder.

"Come, let's celebrate your return, Noah!" exclaiming Michael. Welcomed nods in agreement Elric and Ryan.

Celebrating Noah's return means they'll be drinking at their favorite spot on a rooftop of an already uninhabited apartment building. Noah is in charge of buying drinks considering the three young men are not old enough to buy alcohol or enter the bar.

"How can you?!" Emma, who had just arrived at her apartment that afternoon, was strangled when she received a call from Nelnet, a financial institution under the auspices of the U. S. education department that gave her student loans. Not bad news, but the best news in a month or even in recent years in his life.

Someone has paid off his student loans. He is the one who does not want to mention names. Nelnet only asked him to sign the debt repayment documents they had sent him by email.

Only one name came to his mind. James. Emma scrolled the phone screen looking for James's name there. A fluke. He had not touched the call button yet, the man had already called him first.

"Hi, James." Emma greeted James across the street. "Yes. Okay .. see you tonne."

Emma smiled at his smile. He began to compile words how to say thank you to James who had helped him ease the burden that had been borne by him.

He sat on the sofa with a breath of relief. At least his salary will not be cut to pay the installments. Emma began to think of finding a more decent job and according to her educational background. It is impossible forever he became a restaurant waitress with a mediocre salary and no progress at all. All this time his life was just about survival, not about making plans for a bright future.

Emma's daydreams were blown away when the apartment door was opened by someone. Elric emerged from behind the door. The young man smiled to find Emma sitting on the living room sofa with a bright face.

"Hi, El." Emma greeted Elric with a cheerful smile.

"Hmm .. You know, El, there's a nice guy who's been paying off my student loan."

Elric chuckles. You're welcome, Emma (same-sama, Emma). "That's great. So who's the good guy?" angled back.

Emma looked at Elric with a smile still on her lips. "Prince of Camelot," he chuckled. Then the girl got up from her seat and kissed Elric cheek at a glance before finally stepping inside her room.

"Dome!" call Elric makes Emma pop her head from behind the door. "You don't want to talk to me now?" tanyakanya.

"Hmm .. I want to get ready. Who knows if the prince will take me somewhere tonight" Emma joked as she closed the door to her room.

Elric raised his thick eyebrows and smiled happily. Could it be that Emma was giving her a code to take the girl somewhere later tonight? It's probable. Emma will thank him and ....

The young man nodded slowly. His mind was filled with pleasant prejudices. He decided to go into the room and wrestle with his guitar, waiting for nightfall.

Until night falls, Elric rushes to prepare to take Emma to a place he has not decided. He is a spontaneous person. The idea of a place can come suddenly when you get out of the apartment.

What clothes can make her look charming in front of a woman? Ah, Elric is used to the appearance of being indifferent. If Emma likes him, not the main appearance, but the attitude and the way he treats the girl.

His choice fell on, again, the thick shirt of checkered motifs he wore on a plain black shirt. Black color denim trousers and casual shoes. His long hair he partially tied. Voilais. Elric is ready.

He came out of his room and knocked on Emma's door. The girl came out with a neat appearance. Beautiful, of course. Emma's form really refreshed her eyes.

"You want to go?" emma asked, watching Elric's appearance. The boy looks, charming, if he has to express his opinion.

"yeah. You seem ready too. I intend to ...." Elric's words evaporated as Emma asked him to delay her speech because the girl had to receive a phone ringing inside her sling bag.

"I'll be right down." Emma was talking to someone on her phone. "Then I'll go first, El. James is waiting for me downstairs."

"What (what)?!" Elric exclaimed in disbelief. "Why did you go with James?"

Emma grimacing. He then kissed Elric cheek at a glance and rushed towards the apartment door. "See you, El." The girl waved at Elric before closing the door.

Elric shook his head in disbelief. His face hinted at peerless annoyance. Both of his palms clenched tightly. "Breng sek!"

"So you think James paid your student loan, Emma?!" exclamation Elric.

"F uck!" maki Elric kicked the leg of the sofa not far from him.
