23. MOS New School

Trying to wear the white Grey uniform that was bought earlier and then standing in front of the mirror and I looked at it from the tip of the foot to the tip of the head. It's also funny that you're starting to grow up. I'll be wearing a gray white uniform soon.

No tears coming back. Either sad or happy that I feel right now. But for sure I have to be a strong boy who is able to beat the pain in life.

Encourage yourself to live a life that is always interspersed with heartache. I hope that the pill goes and disappears and then a happy grip will come someday so that I can explore the world and rest on my own feet even though I am not fully standing.

It was a very cold Monday morning. I woke up in the morning to get ready. Worship, cook, eat and get ready to go to school. The school was very far away from the previous Junior High school, so I had to leave early in the morning using public transport.

06.00 A.m., I was at the stop waiting for the transport. Not forgetting I stopped by Mr. Abi to just say hello and say goodbye. And I also saw Riki who was ready to sell. It was like going back in time, getting together with Riki and Pak Abi. But this time I set out not to peddle newspapers but for school.

The journey takes about 25 minutes. Because my school is very far away and is on the border of the city. Sitting in an orderly manner in the transport, and calmly listening to the old songs played by the driver.

"Yes you, where's your ball hat" My hands were busy touching my head and it turns out I forgot to bring the ball cap that had been ordered for MOS (Student Orientation Period).

" Okay, pake forgot everything and my house is far away again" I muttered with my head down

"Here you are" the senior snapped at the man. I rushed towards him calmly

"Fresh first enter has done a thing, now as the punishment you walk squat from here" he snapped with a ketus

"Squat road?, this is just a ball hat and students have to squat road is indeed what military school" I objected when told to squat road to the ceremonial field

"You're nyolot yeah, want me to add in" snapped one of her female friends who was on the side with an annoyed look. Here I try to be patient because I first entered this school.

"Yes, sister" Ari replied as she walked with me. I did not answer because I was still upset. Just because the ball hat was punished to the road squatting, even though this public school is not a military school. And their faces just want me to slap.

Standing in the middle of the field listening to the headmaster who was doing the directions and making a speech. No small speech, always at length. The students who listen are always bored. I am bored too. But you still have to listen until it's over.

All the participants of the ceremony were disbanded, except for us new students who were still sunbathing in the field. Then there is one of the OSIS (student organization) women as the committee provides direction to do the next activity. It divides all students into 10 groups. After being divided, each group must follow the OSIS who leads. He said there would be a school introduction.

It turns out I was in a group with Ari. And I didn't realize it also turned out to be a group with Yuri. I was also surprised that Yuri went to school at this High School as well. I don't know why I was with him still quietly, just getting along at that time. Though I wanted to be friends but it turns out Yuri was still back to her old friend back then, so I kept quiet and stayed away afraid she was embarrassed to be friends with me.

Getting around the school by doing school environment introductions. After that we sit in a place that is the ball field at the back. Listening to games or directions made by senior kaka. At first I just relaxed listening to the direction and the game they gave, but the longer the stranger. Actually not a game and rather want to embarrass new students by doing whatever they want.

"Who here is afraid of cats" Some children raise their hands in fear of cats, but are instead told to take the cat and bring it in front of them. If no one complies, they will be punished. Some people do it even if they are afraid. Yuri also seems to be very afraid of cats.

"Hurry and bring the cat here" He clashed at Yuri who was still silent and looked at the cat with the greatest fear. I don't know if Yuri was afraid of cats, when seen from her eyes she was very traumatized by cats.

"If you don't want to, then you have to crawl in this field" Yuri would rather crawl than have to hold a cat. I was angry to see all this but I chose silence.

It feels funny, there is this kind of treatment but the school allows it. How can military exercises be applied in schools that are generally for learning. But if indeed the school is military-based, it is only natural. This has nothing to do with military-based schools.

"Next, in the bushes there are fruits of red color and become food for snakes. I want 3 of you to take it"

The views of all the students were fixed on the bushes that looked extremely dense. The thorns grew up there. And the most frightening thing is that there will be snakes. It is a snake that will prey if we disturb the peace of his sleep.
