The Beautiful Doll of the Judge

The Beautiful Doll of the Judge
Deal

"I'm not defending him, but he's a victim. It's unlikely he killed his own wife" Khati said slowly on the sidelines of his remaining sobs.

"Then why didn't he defend Mom, but instead sued her?"

"'Can I tell you, it's a request from his wife's family" said the veiled woman, wiping away her tears.

Does this woman still love her ex-husband? Ah, dammit! How am I going to execute my plan like this? He should be on my side not on his side. The man was silent for a moment. He seems to have to rework the plans that have been arranged. It seems .. he should be involved even further.

He stared at the blank piece of paper he had prepared earlier on the table. Slowly, he thrust the paper with a pen to the woman. "If you want me to help, you can sign this paper."

The woman stopped crying. He stared at the empty paper. "This what?" He held the blank paper in his hand.

It seems hard to outsmart this woman. He's so smart. "Eh .. sort of a covenant."

"What agreement? Why hasn't it been written?"

Mmm, it was fitting that he could lead a company. This woman is pretty smart. Inevitably I have to carry out this second plan. "Mmh, here. I don't know who was involved in this murder. That's why I have to be careful. The plan is I'll postpone the hearing until the investigation is complete. For Mom's safety, I'll take you out of the country."

"But what is this signature for?"

Do I have to say it now? But .. I don't think he's gonna turn it down. The man smiled slantedly. "Eh, actually I want us to get married. If possible," he said with a serious expression.

"Married?" Khati rolled her eyes back. He did not expect the words to come out of the man's mouth.

The man tried to explain it carefully. "Eh, don't misunderstand me. I wear a hijab and a widow. Is it okay to be on the road?" He wanted to make sure the woman was not offended by his words by staring at the two eyeballs of Khati. "Eh, I mean not bad. This could ruin my good name as well, so we should just get married. Once this case is over we can get divorced."

Married .. I never imagined this. Married this perfect guy? Not only does this marriage have to be kept in custody but I really don't want to part if it's true that I marry her later. The woman was lulled with her thoughts until she smiled to herself.

"Mom, how?"

Khati immediately woke up from her delusion. "Eh, are you sure?"

"If you agree, I'll just sign this paper."

The woman finally signed the blank paper. "Eh, but what's it all about?"

The man quickly picked up the paper. "Eh, just a contract marriage."

Khati frowned. "That means I got the coffee?"

"Oh, yeah. I'll make one." Jun folded the paper and put it in his pants pocket. This time he committed a crime. Manipulating a woman for revenge. But he was blinded by revenge, he will not stop until this revenge is avenged. "Mmh, so how do I contact your uncle?"

There was a knock at the door. The officer appeared from behind the door. "Sorry, sir just told me. This Uncle mother has come to see."

Khati and Jun looked at each other.

"What if it's just now?" The man is getting more and more desperate.

"Eh, what?" Kati looks panicked.

"Before he came home. 'Can he say he lives out of town?"

"Eh ...." The woman did not know what to answer. Why is everything happening so fast?

Jun took the initiative. "Eh, just get his uncle here. There's something I want to talk about" he told the officer.

The officer then left.

"Is this real?" Kati asked back. He still can't believe his marriage is in sight.

"Eh, let me do the talking, but please don't mention the contract marriage issue because it's a sensitive matter."

"Oh, yes. What do you usually call?"

"heart."

"I'm Jun."

Both seem awkward. Of course, because they don't know each other and suddenly have to get married. The man also looked nervous.

Khati's uncle, Baskoro, came with the officer. He was fat like Khati, only taller. His hair was partially bleached and he wore a dark brown batik shirt.

"Please sit down, sir." Jun pulled out a chair for the middle-aged man.

"Ah, thank you." Baskoro sat down and put his chair on the table.

Jun then spoke. Baskoro is surprised by Jun's proposal to Khati. The man of course knows who Jun is because he often sees him on TV, a charismatic man with a lucrative post. But he didn't know when they were connected.

"How are you ...."

"Eh, look, sir. I've been keeping the household with him. Shouldn't the wedding be celebrated? Besides, I want to save my future wife by taking her abroad" Jun assured.

Baskoro glanced at his nephew who looked blushed in embarrassment. It seemed like a rush because Khati had just divorced her ex-husband nine months ago. But seeing Jun's sincerity in his arms, plus the man had a position that was not arbitrary, he approved this lightning marriage.

"Thank God, thank you, sir." Jun greeted the middle-aged man. "See, I'll call my assistant first."

"Oh, yes, yes. Please."

The judge picked up his phone and contacted the assistant by moving a little away. "Hello, Todi. Please prepare the penghulu immediately. I'm getting married today."

"What?" The young man at the other end stood up from his seat. He often gets an impossible job from his boss, but gets married?

"I don't want to hear there's a problem. I'm waiting for your answer as soon as possible. Now I'm back home."

"Eh, wait a minute, sir." Todi tried to hold back. "What about Julia?"

"Run it."

"Good, sir." Phone's closed. So upset, the man kicked the table but then he jumped up and down in pain from the kick that made his leg hurt. The other officer laughed at Todi's behavior.

"Why again?" Ledek was a woman whose desk was not far from Todi. "Mission impossible again?" He came back laughing.

Todi only scowled at the comments of his colleague.

Elsewhere, Baskoro stared at his soon-to-be-married uncle. "Are you sure?"

"Just pray for the best for me, Uncle."

The man grabbed Khati's hand that was on the table and patted the back of her hand. He always did so when he calmed his nephew.

Soon Jun returned to the room. He brought a hoodie jacket and gave it to Khati. It helps to put and tidy it on the neck. Khati looks a little clumsy to accept it but Jun tries to look concerned for the woman in front of his uncle.

Of course the uncle was happy, Khati was able to marry the person in charge. Unlike her former husband who was both former college friends.

Baskoro did not dislike Damar because he came from a simple family, but because of his college alone, his nephew who paid for it. Already finished college, the man became lazy and unemployed whose work can only be poya-foya and start a new business that ends in failure. All are only the heart that works.
