"What's this about? Mrs?"
Both looking. I was so relieved to meet Dimitri. Damar immediately withdrew his hand and gave the woman some distance.
Khati moved closer to the Russian man. "Oh, it's okay. He's just a fan" he said with a smile. He doesn't want any trouble at the party. After all, he was assigned to approach Damar, but because suddenly, he felt unprepared. "Come on!" He took her away.
Dimitri was a little confused because he was clearly seeing some irregularities there but the woman stated otherwise. "Are you really okay, ma'am?" ask again to make sure.
"Oh, right. It's okay." Khati felt relieved Dimitri had helped her in the situation earlier, otherwise there must be a commotion there and the atmosphere became unpleasant. There were many acquaintances of her husband there. If Damar is arrested for troublemaking at a party, he may not be able to approach the man again to dig up information about the man's wife's murder.
It's complicated but he's grateful Dimitri came on time. He had a glance at Damar who was looking at him leaving with Dimitri. "You were invited to this party too?" ask the Russian guy.
"Oh, yes. My boss knows that married businessman. His parents are county officials." Dimitri actually persuaded his boss to come to Jakarta. Coincidentally his boss also had a business in Jakarta.
Ever since meeting Khati, he actually liked this woman. Moreover, seeing the relationship between Khati and her husband that looks unnatural. He was increasingly curious about this woman to try to look for her to Jakarta.
"Oh, so. Does your boss have a business in Jakarta?"
"Oh, that's right. Are you still interested in side business."
"Side huh?" Khati frown.
Dimitri laughing. "Because your main job is housewives."
Khati laughed. The man was happy to see the woman laughing. It was cold to see the crisp laughter from Khati's thin lips.
They then went to a medium-sized table while looking at the food. Khati took the pudding to try, as did the man.
"Which boss is you?" ask the curious woman.
Dimitri pointed to a Russian-faced man who was eating alone. In Dimitri's appeal, the man's face looks stiff and haughty.
Khati nodded at him. "What business is in Jakarta?"
Dimitri glanced at Khati with a faint smile. "Are you interested in doing business? Or, what if you work for me?"
"Oh, I don't know." At that question, Khati was even confused. "I don't know yet."
"If you were just a housewife. You can work for me, as a beginner. Besides, this doesn't take much of your time. Are you still working as a model?" He put a piece of cake in his mouth.
"My husband told me to stop."
"Ah, what a pity. It's better to have a career before you have children, right? Or maybe your husband wants to have a child soon?"
Calmly faced that question. Dimitri could see it.
"Eh, we just got married. Still not planning anything" elak the woman.
"Do you want to rush to have children? No, right? Just try working for me. Any time you can stop, and it doesn't matter to me. My boss company is many and no one can take care of that company in Jakarta. If you can, I'll give you that job."
Khati finished her chewing while glancing at the man beside her. "But ...."
"Not to be afraid, I'll teach you. How's it?" The man stared at the two beautiful beads of the woman's eyes.
The woman looks disinclined. Though the man did not know that Khati had a company led by him who is now trying to open a branch in the area, but the project was abandoned since he left because of this murder case.
"Can I?" ask Khati shyly. He did not want to be rash because it was the company of others who might have different standards.
"certainly could. This company has been running with standards that have been arranged neatly so you just lead it. Or do you want to have your own business?"
"Lho, the effort of things that smell home can also be you know, Julia. You don't want to try?"
"Times?" Khati pretended not to know. He bribed the pudding he had cut.
"Could. What about the restaurant?"
The woman smiled widely. "Well, I'm not that good at cooking."
"'Can't you cook, Julia. You interested? How about you give me your phone number so we can chat somewhere else?"
Now Khati is confused what to answer, but he just wants to chat with the man until he only gives a smile.
Coinciding with that, Jun who was looking for Khati, found her smiling at Dimitri. He nodded and came to them both. "Julia!"
Both looking.
"What are you doing, honey," said Jun wanting to know what happened.
"Eh, there's no. I'm just chatting with Dimitri."
Hearing the wife mention the man's name, Jun was immediately annoyed. They acquainted? Uh! "Come, Honey. He said he wanted to go home soon. Come on, let's go home."
"Oh, yes."
Jun let Khati pass first. When Dimitri started talking, he cut it off. "Eh, sorry. We're still in the honeymoon mood." He glanced cynically at Dimitri.
The Russian man could only keep quiet by watching Jun take his wife.
In the car, Jun glanced at Khati through the corner of his eye. "You look familiar to him." He pretended to be indifferent by tidying up his old grey suit sleeves.
"I'll know her at your parents' house, Mas" explained Julia glanced at the husband.
"really?" Jun was surprised, because he did not see the existence of Dimitri at the party at his parents' house at the time because it was crowded. But then he cleared for a while. "But I'm asking you not to meet anyone because right now you're still 'working'. That's dangerous, Julia. You understand, don't you mean?"
He spoke like that so that the driver did not suspect anything. He did not share information about who his wife was to everyone, so he also kept Khati secret to employees at his home.
Khati just looked down. "Yes." Yeah."
"Focus, Julia. After this, you want to do anything, whatever."
The woman glanced at her husband. "Soalah Dimitri helped me. I just met Damar."
"What?" His wife's honest answer surprised Jun. He glanced at the front seat. "Ok, we'll talk at home."
Arriving home, Jun follows Khati to her room. He closed the door. "So how did he react?"
Actually, Khati was reluctant to talk about this but she had to say it because this was her job. "I met him when I came out of the toilet. He's angry."
Goody! "Then, what's your reaction?"
"I'm confused, Mas. He thinks I'm Julia. I'm so bad to be between those two conflicts." The woman seemed doubtful.
