THE BEDOL KEMBANG

THE BEDOL KEMBANG
PAEHAN KABEH(DISABLE ALL) CHAPTER 6

“Eh lo denger ga tuh?” cetus was a friend who held a basketball. Everyone on the field was silent and listening. The sound was clearly heard flowing as if accompanying a pesinden. Anton look at Wira, “Wir .. who is maenin degung?”  The hero just shrugged his shoulders. “You have locked the door ‘kan?” ask Anton, Wira nodded. “Anjrit urang goosebumps euy,” chirps one of them. “Aing oge anjir (I am also anjir), hiii,” another timpal while holding his nape.

Mang Uus was curious, he tried to open the carawitan room door turned out to be unlocked. Everyone in the field watched and waited anxiously. Mang Uus opened the door a little and peeked. “Aya naon (what's up) Mang?” ask Anton from the sidelines. Mang Uus shook his head because he could not see anything but the sound was still heard. The door was opened wide and immediately the thumping stopped.

Mang Uus stood glued in front of the open door with a surprised face. Her lips trembled and her hands pointed, “Astaghfirulloh ..” Only that word was heard from Mang Uus' lips. Anton and his friends ran over to see what was going on inside the carawitan room. Anton's eyes widened in disbelief at what he saw. All his friends screamed.

Inside the room, Wira hanged herself with a dance scarf wrapped around her neck.

“Ga possible,” Anton said and immediately turned to the field. Wira was standing on the sidelines with a grinning laugh. “Saha maneh (who are you)!?” anton's snapping shocked everyone but they didn't see what Anton saw. To them the basketball court looked empty. The hero laughed and moved soaring into the big tree then disappearing there.

...***...

Nining sat on the edge of her bed thinking about the name Nyai Galunggung she heard from the Goddess. He also recalled his feelings while reading the poems in the kawih on the shabby book, he felt that there was something on the kawih. Not because he had done the ritual as a professional pesinden but without doing it, the unpleasant aura in the kawih can be felt easily for those who usually develop kawih karuhun. The goddess was right, it was just that she hid all this in front of her friends because she herself still doubted whether what she felt was true or just her feelings.

“Ning ..”

Nining nodded.

“No one thought yes ...”

“Mah ... as a pesinden, does Mamah believe there are kawih or tembang that can bring death?” ask Nining.

Mamah was surprised by the question, “You mean?”

“Dewi ... friend of Nining, found a book in which it says a kawih karuhun .. strangely when reading the verse, Nining felt something bad, the poem made the feathers stand up, he said,” clear Nining. “Book? Kawih?” Nining nodded. Mamah wondered in her heart, were these books and experts the same as the books and experts she had in mind?

“The book is like a notebook, it's run-down, the page is partially yellowed already torn, the writing ink is also starting to disappear...”

Mamah.

“Mah .. Mamah knows a patient named Nyai Galunggung ga?”

Mama widened her eyes in surprise. Nining looked at her mom, “Why surprised Mah? You know Nyai Galunggung that?”
