Chapter 18 - The Dock Party

Megan and Kevin walked hand in hand. Just one step into the party area, they instantly became the center of attention. Not because of Kevin. Except Megan. A new face never seen before.

"You're sure, my presence here won't have any effect? You're not afraid of slanted gossip?" Megan whispered into Kevin's ear.

"I don't care about gossip at all. Especially if it is a relationship. That's normal for all celebrities," Kevin responded casually. He sauntered while showing a serious face. It was as if he had no interest in meeting anyone. Kevin is famous for having a cold attitude.

Kevin invites Megan to relax to enjoy the drinks and dishes available. Megan slowly separates from Kevin. Because there was a man with a mustache who asked Kevin to speak. So Megan doesn't want to bother me.

Megan decided to enjoy a glass of wine. He took a long breath. Unintentionally, his attention was fixed towards a familiar figure.

Megan's eyes were perfectly rounded. A bald-headed man managed to make him remember the dark past. Megan remembers vividly, the man she now sees is one part of her family's murderous group.

Flashbacks of the massacre incident were immediately clearly depicted on Megan's head. The sound of gunshots and blood spatter made Megan's breathing start to get out of control. He hasn't remembered that for a long time. With just one face, the memories instantly twisted back.

Eight years ago, Megan lost her entire family. He gets an attack from a mysterious group while celebrating a wedding. Her husband-to-be was killed along with his family members. Like a sweep of a typhoon, the lives of everyone closest to Megan instantly disappeared in an instant.

Megan was the only survivor. She fled in a state still wearing a white wedding dress. That's when he met Ryan. Her ex-husband has not been forgotten. That's one of the reasons Megan calls Ryan a glimmer of hope. The man came like a white riding prince. But who would have thought, Ryan chose another woman instead of Megan.

If most people think marriage is happiness, Megan doesn't think so. The wedding was the place she avoided the most. Megan hates when she feels weak. The weakness comes as Megan remembers the dark past. When he realized he had no one to rely on.

Megan reflex stepped back. Like having a panic attack, both of his hands trembled in fear. He did not want the man he saw to be aware of his existence.

Prangs!

Not looking back, Megan hit a table. The bottles and glasses that were there fell to the floor. Break into sharp pieces of glass.

Everyone is looking at Megan. Including the man who succeeded in making Megan's guts shrivel. Megan was getting more scared. Without a second thought, he went in an uncertain direction. The thing Megan wanted the most was to stay away from everyone. Especially from the figure of a foreign-headed pelontos man.

"You okay?" Kevin's approaching Megan. He must be worried about what happened to Megan.

"I'm fine. Go then! I want to be alone!" drive Megan out doesn't care. He took his step. Eventually they found a place to hide. The toilet. But instead of finding tranquility, Megan actually has to deal with annoying women.

"How long have you been in a relationship with Kevin? He doesn't usually take someone to a party. Let alone women," scolded the woman who happened to mirror beside Megan. Her name is Nathasia Brown. Actress and singer known to have been close to Kevin.

Megan did not comment on Nathasia's remarks. He was busy washing his face in front of the sink.

"Are you deaf?!" timpal Nathasia who did not accept himself was ignored.

"Do I know you?" concluded Megan while meringus went from the toilet.

Nathasia flabbergasted. He wondered if there were people who did not know him. Though it is clear Nathasia is one of the actresses who is often discussed. His name is aligned with Kevin. No wonder so many fans are trying to match her with Kevin.

"We've met, haven't we?" The pelontos-headed man was ringing. Staring at Megan with an indecipherable look. But it feels threatening.

Megan tries to avoid. He even deliberately threw away his face. Megan did so so that she would not recall the incident of the massacre of her family.

"Ah, right! You're a Bloody Wedding victim. The coolest heist I've ever done in my entire life." The bald-headed man spoke as he chuckled. He blocked the road by leaning one hand against the wall.

Megan was finally able to stare at the bald man. Giving a sharp look accompanied by bitterness. Both of his hands clenched fists. Without further ado Megan floated the bogem in turn. However, none of his attacks managed to hit the opponent.

"Now I understand why you never tried to take revenge." The bald man again smirked. Especially when she caught a bitter look from Megan. "You're scared." he added. Posing casually in a state of putting two hands into a pants pocket.

"I'll kill you now!" threaten Megan who can't take it anymore. He tightened his jaw full of anger.

"Try it!" challenge the pelontos-headed man.

Megan then wrapped her hands around the bald man's neck. He exerted all his might to block the throat of his enemy.

"Do you remember how your future husband died? I strangled him like this first, then shot him in the head." The pelontos-headed man was not at all frightened by Megan's attack. It was precisely she who made Megan even more depressed.

"You should be afraid. People like us are not comparable to you. Mafia or whatever? They're nothing compared to us." The bald man quickly twisted both of Megan's hands. Then corner Megan in a state of holding the neck. Now Megan has to face how much pain her throat choked.

"KKpk... Kkkk..." Megan has trouble breathing. He tried to escape but could not. The pelontos-headed man's hands were so strong.

"Megan!" kevin's call saved Megan from death. The figure of the bald man rushed away as fast as lightning.

"Damn! What happened to you?! Is there someone bothering you?" Kevin's coming for Megan. He saw Megan's neck flushed.

"I just want to go home" Megan said. His face looked grim.

"Well, you better calm down first." Kevin held gently on Megan's shoulder.

"Kevin, are all the invited guests here also visited by people other than celebrities and film directors?" ask Megan. He wondered why the bald man could be present at the big party.

"Yes, there are businessmen and some politicians." Kevin slowly embraced Megan. Then smell Megan's blond hair that smells like tulips.

"You sure?" Megan confirmed.

"of course. Come with me!" Kevin takes Megan back to the party room. He managed to see the bald man watching from behind the wall.

Before leaving, Kevin turned his head towards the pellet-headed man. Then throw each other a grin.
