Chapter 30 - Kevin's Grief

Megan and Ethan were silent for a while. Ethan is seen observing Thomas who has been transported to an ambulance.

"I'll make sure Kevin contacts one of us soon" Ethan chirped while wearing a waist-rigging style. "One, two, ti.." hasn't had time to say three, Megan's phone has rang. Ethan then makes a satisfied smile.

Megan looked at Ethan seriously. He wondered why Ethan could guess what was going to happen. Did that man also learn about the science of divination?

Megan nodded. Trying to dismiss the crazy conjecture lodged in the head. He immediately answered a call that was none other than Kevin.

"Megan, can we meet? The only person I trust is you. I'm on my way to the hospital now. Something unexpected happened to Thomas. I don't know why he suddenly did this. Oh my godness." Kevin's tone sounded ambiguous. Not sad, panicked or confused.

"really? What's going on?" Megan acted worried. His attenuation was directed towards the ambulance that had just been running. In the back of the ambulance, Kevin's car followed.

"Thomas killed himself. He did it after giving me important files, ", Kevin said. Megan's eyes immediately turned toward Ethan. Megan knows half of Ethan's plan. It's brilliant. Again, Megan is not willing to praise Ethan with her mouth.

"That's tragic. Sorry, you must have trouble accepting it." Megan commented while using a sad tone of speech. The look on his face was even impressed.

"Yes..." Kevin answered briefly while sighing deeply.

"All right, I'll see you soon. Bye bye!" megan. He almost closes the call first, but Kevin is heard calling back.

"What's wrong?" ask Megan.

"Take Ethan with you. There's something I want to talk to him about" Kevin explained. Ethan automatically smiles widely. Especially when Megan's blue bead looked back at her.

After informing her of her wishes, Kevin and Megan stopped talking on the phone. Megan goes with Ethan to make her next plan.

Thomas's funeral day was covered by a clear day. The fallen leaves make the atmosphere feel more dark. Everyone seemed to be wearing black clothes. Megan and Ethan.

Kevin looked down his head. Stare straight at the mound of earth containing Thomas's body. She doesn't know she's the center of attention for Megan and Ethan.

"I don't think he's too sad about his uncle's death." Ethan whispered softly into Megan's ear.

"I knew. That's weird, isn't it? Ah right. I haven't told you about the weird bruises I received after sleeping with Kevin." Megan whispered back. He suddenly remembered when he found a lot of bruises on several parts of the body.

"By? Did he do anything crazy?"

"I think so. But when I asked, Kevin denied it firmly. He's even willing to provide evidence of surveillance footage." Megan and Ethan just kept talking to each other. Even when the pastor was busy reciting the do'a-do'a from the Bible.

"Could Kevin have a mental disorder that is deliberately hidden? You have to find Megan" Ethan said.

Megan glares sharply. "Why me? Why do you keep giving me orders!" he snapped with a pretty loud voice. Until everyone can hear. The priest who was busy reading the do'a, looked at Megan with uneasiness.

Megan is unaware that she is the center of attention. Because he's too busy threatening Ethan with eyeballs.

A wry smile was immediately etched onto Ethan's face. "I'm sorry... My brother and I had a little trouble today. Please continue to pray, Mr. Brandon," he said gently.

Megan, who finally knew she was in the spotlight, automatically smiled. Even though his smile seemed so awkward.

The priest only shakes his head. Then continue the do'a reading session.

"Why are you yelling, blonde?" Ethan again began the conversation.

"I'm angry! You just keep treating me like a man!" furious Megan. This time he spoke in a soft tone.

"You are my men. Did you forget your promise in the rooftop?" tympan Ethan. Tilt your head slightly to the right.

"How many times have I told you. You just told me to call you boss. Not that I'm willing to be your slave" Megan said. Irritated, he accidentally steps on one of Ethan's legs. A happy smile expands on his face. Somehow Megan is getting used to her little quarrel with Ethan.

"Your mouth is unbelievable. You haven't even once called me boss" Ethan commented, pulling his foot off Megan's footrest. He was a huge success and immediately gave a reply.

Megan who realized her legs would be stepped on, tried to avoid. As a result, he and Ethan encourage each other. Unintentionally, Megan staggered back.

Ethan, who happens to be in the closest position, swiftly captures Megan's body. Accidentally, the man's hand held firmly to Megan's butt. But Ethan quickly pulls his hand and tries to behave normally.

All pairs of eyes were once centered on Megan and Ethan again. They stopped staring as Megan and Ethan looked solemnly lowered their heads.

A few minutes passed, Thomas' funeral session was over. People immediately sailed towards their cars.

Honestly, people's guard against Kevin is very strict. That's because many journalists are eager to get information about the state of Kevin. Thomas's burial place was kept secret from the public. Only the closest and most trusted person can attend the funeral.

"Are you okay?" Megan asked while aligning her path with Kevin.

"I'll get better if you're always by my side. Come to the set with me later," Kevin asked. Developing a charming thin smile. It was as if he had not felt any sorrow at all for the incident that had befallen Thomas.

"I'll think about it. You know it's a big risk for me" Megan said. Slowly Kevin clasped his fingers.

Ethan was busy walking around from behind. He tries to eavesdrop on Megan and Kevin's conversation. But somehow Ethan's attention is always focused on Megan's butt. His instincts as a man, could not argue the cohesion of Megan's body.

Ethan gulps his own saliva. His mind suddenly recalled the kiss incident in the elevator last night. After being distracted, Ethan immediately shook his head firmly. Trying hard to wake up.

"What's wrong with you, Ethan?" ethan muttered while slapping his own cheek once. That's when Megan turned around. Even so, Megan relaxed with Ethan's strange attitude. For him, the strangeness of the man has happened often.

"Ethan, Kevin wants to talk to you!" exclaim Megan.

Ethan is awakened from the daydream. She was somewhat misbehaved because Megan suddenly called out to her.

"OK," Ethan responded briefly. He and Kevin and Megan go to a place to talk about something serious.
