The Devil JOVE's

The Devil JOVE's
112. The Fear of a Father

Fidel walked into Mr. Cadenza's room with a file in his hand.

"Good day, sir. I came to bring you the offer file to join CL Group. It looks like Mr. Jove intends to involve the L Group in their planned Biotechnology launch!" said Fidel while putting the file on the table. He then sighed. "Mr Cadenza, I don't know why I'm worried about something. What if Mr. Eriko is planning something that could hurt Miss Casandra? I know he is your brother, but your brother's relationship is only a half-brother. This fact does not rule out the possibility that Mr. Eriko would have the heart to injure his own nephew!"

Cadenza listened to Fidel's words carefully. Yesterday after she got a reprimand from Franklin, Cadenza forgot to tell this man that it was true that Eriko planned something bad for her daughter. The bittersweet thing discussed. But this is a fact that Fidel has every right to know.

"Fidel, what you're saying is true that Eriko has malicious intentions towards Casandra. But you don't worry. Jove and Franklin had already arranged a plan to stop him. You can calm down" said Cadenza, taking a deep breath. He then opened the file that Fidel had brought and began to read it.

Oh my God, please strengthen me. Not to mention that I feel calm because Casandra is in Jove's hands, now another problem that is much more worrying. Eriko is my sister, could it be that I would have the heart to let her be slaughtered by Jove's men? It's too painful, but it's also dangerous if Eriko gets to Casandra. Gosh darn.

Fidel's gaze sharpened when he found that there was a gurgle of anxiety on his employer's face. He was sure there must be something else he didn't know. Unwilling to be cheated, Fidel tries to seduce Mr. Cadenza into talking. She felt entitled to ask this question because she was somehow responsible for Miss Casandra's safety.

"If there's a serious problem, don't hesitate to share it with me, sir. You are not alone, there is still me who is ready to install the body to protect you and your family. So please don't shut up. Speak up!"

"Franklin reprimanded me!" Cadenza spoke up. His eyes closed before he told Fidel what threat his confidant Jove posed. "Franklin knew that Elzavat and I were going to run Casandra away. He then tells her that Pamela, Jove's cousin, also intends to go after my daughter. Maybe if Pamela was a normal woman, I wouldn't tell this story. But ....

"But?"

"But Pamela is the owner of Grisi's lab. He's a mad scientist with no conscience. There was also Cloud, the assassin who was also after the rare blood. It's all terrible, it makes me feel like I can't breathe!" cadenza lirih. "Franklin said among all the people chasing Casandra, Pamela was the scariest. He threatened to let her hunt Casandra down if me and Elzavat still thought about separating her from Jove. It's a very heavy choice. You know that, right?"

"So all this time you and Madam didn't agree that Miss Casandra was staying with Jove?" asked Fidel in shock. He did not think that his two masters harbored any worries until like this. Though Fidel was quite relieved because both of them look calm when handing Miss Casandra to the mafia. Turns ....

"Everything makes us feel cornered, Fidel. Casandra can only be safe under Jove's protection, and you know this. And when Jove asked Casandra, we could only give up and let her go. How else. We have no power to resist that desire. Until the other day, Elzavat and I were involved in a secret conversation that was heard by a Jove spy in this house. We got caught, and in the end I had to accept a very scary threat from Franklin!"

"When did Franklin do that, sir?" ask Fidel curiously.

"Yesterday when I came to see Casandra" replied Cadenza. After that, he opened his eyes and smiled. "You know not, Fidel. Casandra likes Jove, and Elzavat agrees. Actually I kind of mind. But because I saw Casandra so happy when I talked about her feelings, I was worried about protesting. What do you think I should show you to deal with this matter? It's dangerous not to refuse Jove's contact?"

"Don't do that, sir. Because not only Miss Casandra will be affected, but the entire Lin family. If it's true that Miss Casandra loves Jove and Jove is willing to accept her feelings, I don't think there's a good reason for you to reject their relationship. Instead it will even bring more profit because the enemies will definitely think twice if you want to target Miss Casandra. Don't forget, Mr. Cadenza. Your daughter is very special. It is very wrong if you reject a daughter-in-law with qualifications that can be called very perfect like Jove. Please think about it!" fidel replied immediately reminding his employer not to make the wrong decision.

"All right then. This time I will try to learn to accept" Cadenza said, throwing a rough breath.

"Darling, are you sure you're letting Casandra drag on in love with Jove?" cadenza asked with a very shocked expression. He could not believe what his wife had just said. "Jove is a bastard. Didn't you object to this yesterday, too?"

"That's right, Cadenza. I'm also really not that you Casandra married a guy with a criminal background like Jove. But as a mother, I might be able to inhibit the love that my daughter first felt. Obviously Jove and Casandra are in love, it's just that their ways are a little different. Jove is rude, but she always tries to keep Casandra safe and protected. Here I may sound hypocritical, but this is a fact we cannot deny. Casandra loves Jove, and Jove loves Casandra. We have to accept it!" elzavat replies trying to convince her husband not to oppose their daughter's relationship.

"But baby, this decision is not an easy one. We're just thinking about how to get Casandra out of the mafia circle, why did you change your mind like this? Please don't plan, Elzavat. Don't just because you were bewitched by the mafia, then you decided to accept her as a daughter-in-law. Think again. There are many roads to Rome, and I'm sure there must be other ways we can save Casandra. Believe me!"

Elzavat sighed. After that he smiled as he reached out stroking Cadenza's cheek. "I know you're worried about our son's happiness, Cadenza. I also. But if you look directly at what their romance is like when they're replying, I'm sure you must be devastated. Casandra looks happy with the way Jove treats her. He was comfortable even though his lips were endlessly speaking harshly. Believe, baby. I'm saying this is not because it's bewitched by what Jove has, not like that. But I said it because Casandra is our daughter, she is the fruit of our love. So could it be that I would throw my daughter into the abyss of misery just because of wealth and power? No, Cadenza. Casandra's pain is my pain too. And Casandra's happy is my happy too. Do you understand?"

"Should I?"

"Yes. You have to do it for our daughter's happiness."

"If Casandra gets unhappy, what are you gonna do to me?" ask Cadenza still hesitating. "Nasi that has become porridge is impossible to return to rice. That means something that has happened is impossible to repeat. If it's true that Casandra and Jove love each other, no matter how heavy I will allow it. But if something bad happens to their relationship, what will we accept if not regret alone? This is what I'm worried about, baby!"

"I know and I'm well aware of that. But still, my decision but it will never change. Jove is our daughter's happiness, and I'll make sure they both end up in a very beautiful place. I swear to you, Cadenza!"

Seeing his wife's determination is so strong, inevitably Cadenza can only submit to follow. But deep down, he still held great doubts. It may sound evil, but as a father Cadenza was entitled to a decision. And that decision is ....

"Mr Cadenza, I hope you don't hide anything from me. Please let Miss Casandra fight for her happiness with Jove. We as a family must provide support so that everything can run smoothly. Can, right?" fidel again convinced his employer not to make the wrong decision. Nor is it trying to hide a secret that could be dangerous to many, especially Miss Casandra.

"Hmmmm, I can't answer now, Fidel. Let me ponder it for a moment. Casandra is my only child. And I will never let it fall into the hands of the wrong people!" sahut Cadenza is still muddy with his decision despite having received threats from Franklin. It's not about threats or anything, but it's about a father's concern for his son. "Jove Lorenzo's. Hearing his name alone had already made the entire body tremble in fear. Would such a man be worthy of my precious daughter, Fidel? I understand the worry you're feeling. But later when you get married and have a daughter, you will definitely feel the same fear that I am feeling right now. Believe me!"

"Sir, sorry before. But chances are like that it will be a long way to my life because I am not part of the Lin family. It's impossible for me to have a child as privileged as Miss Casandra. So sorry, the fear that you are feeling now is not I make sure it will never happen in my life" said Fidel, holding a smile.

"Hmmm, can I swear?" Cadenza smile. Comforted by the joke that Fidel just said.

"Please, Sir. Time and place!"
