The Devil JOVE's

The Devil JOVE's
69. Rough Treatment

“Master, you are fine ‘kan?” asked Fidel when he opened the car door for his employer. He quickly helped her out of there as soon as he saw her employer looking so limp.

After speaking with Jove, suddenly his employer's attitude looks very strange. Even on the way to Mr. Cadenza's office, he said nothing to Fidel. Actually, Fidel was eager to ask what had happened, but the intention he paused for fear that his attitude would be misunderstood by his employer. As a result, Fidel just harbored his curiosity in silence while continuing to glance at Mr. Cadenza who was silent moody with reddened eyes.

“Fidel, Jove can we trust to keep Casandra, right?” ask Cadenza lirih. He looked at Fidel with a helpless look. “She will not likely hurt or do anything wrong to Casandra ‘kan?”

“Why did you suddenly say like this, Sir? Did Jove threaten you while you were talking?” sahut Fidel. He kicked the car door shut before guiding Mr. Cadenza into the L Group. “You go to each other's room. Mr. Cadenza is a little unwell, if you can't bother him first.”

“Good, Fidel. Then we excuse you,” said some employees who usually welcome the company owner.

Fidel nodded. He carefully picked Mr. Cadenza up and took him straight into the elevator. Inside, Fidel leaned Mr. Cadenza against a wall to help support his limp-like, powerless body. I don't know what's going on. What is clear is that Mr. Cadenza's talks with Jove must have been quite risky. This is what Fidel believed after Mr. Cadenza suddenly questioned about Jove's ability to protect Ms. Casandra's safety.

“Mr Cadenza, sorry if my question is presumptuous. But can you tell me what you were talking about with Jove? Not what. If your conversation concerns Miss Casandra's safety, I think I need to find out as well. Can?” ask Fidel carefully.

“Sorry, Fidel. For this one problem I really can't tell you. Too dangerous because I never know when your heart can change,” Cadenza replied in a raucous voice. “One thing I can tell you is that I have told Jove about something that only one of me has known. Even Casandra's mom, I don't let her know about this. Especially you. It's not about me not trusting you, it's not that. But this is about Casandra's life. I don't want him to be up to nothing!”

Ting

The elevator doors opened right after Cadenza finished speaking. And as soon as they were about to get out of there, Fidel and Mr. Cadenza were both shocked by Casandra's presence as if she was deliberately waiting for them at the elevator door.

“C-Casandra, are you here, son?” shocked Cadenza. She thought Jove would not let her daughter out of the mansion, apparently her conjecture was wrong. Casandra came to the L Group and was now looking at her with a slightly cold look.

“Why? Do you mind if I come to this company?” ask Casandra sarcas. He is still very upset over Franklin's remark that his father and mother have no objection to him living with Jove. And what Casandra is doing now is one form of protest over the attitude of the father who seemed to ignore and let.

“Cassey, I know you must be upset that Dad let Jove take you to his house. But know it, son. That decision I made for your safety. Please don't misunderstand me?”

Cadenza asked Fidel to let him walk himself to Casandra. With great care Cadenza ventured to hold onto Casandra's shoulder. He knew very well what his daughter's temper was like when she was angry. So as much as possible Cadenza behave so that his daughter so that her anger does not get bigger.

“Dad, can you tell me the reason why you could so easily let me live in a bastard's house like Jove? I need an explanation, Dad. Please just. Please don't confuse me like this. I'm sure Dad and Jove must know something I don't. Yes ‘kan?” urged Casandra expectantly to ask that the father be honest with her. His head seemed to want to break every time he thought about the strange things that Casandra had experienced since meeting with Jove. Especially after Jove told him that later tonight Casandra would be invited to a place that could answer all her curiosity. The more Casandra was convinced that something was wrong with her.

“There's nothing that underlies Father and Mother's decision to let you stay with Jove, Cassey. And all I can tell you now is that Jove's house can be the safest place. Please understand yes? This is all for your own good, dear,” Cadenza replied still refraining from telling Casandra the truth. She was afraid Casandra would be shocked then do something that could hurt herself.

“So Dad still won't tell me the truth?”

“Alright if that's Dad's decision. All this time I kept wondering why Dad and Mom never let me know the outside world freely. And after meeting with Jove, he also acted like you by always watching my every move and even now has managed to force me to stay in his mansion with the permission of Father and Ib as well. Honestly, I'm very disappointed with the attitude you've shown. I was hoping that Dad could give me a little light on why I was treated like this. Since you all chose to shut up, then do not blame me if now I will find out for myself the cause of all the restraints that have occurred in my life. Excuse me!”

Fidel quickly pulled Miss Casandra's hand that was about to pass away from there. And his slightly presumptuous demeanor accidentally attracted the attention of two guards standing not far from where they were now.

“Sorry, Mr. Fidel. What right do you have to be presumptuous to our Miss?” ask one of the guards with a face so flat.

“You don't get me wrong. I'm just trying to keep him from doing something that could hurt!” fidel answered immediately with goosebumps hearing the guard's voice. His voice sounded like an undead that had no life. I don't know, maybe it's just Fidel's feelings. Being Jove's men there is certainly a separate standard that is determined. And most likely the flat and cold attitude of this guard is one of them.

Casandra grunts. He could not believe that now Fidel even looked scared just by dealing with Jove's men.

“Nona Casandra, we were assigned by Mr. Jove to protect your safety. But if you are determined and disobedient, then do not blame us if we will throw you from the top of this building. You should know that things out there are very dangerous for your life. So instead of having to bother reminding, we better just finish your lives!” reprimand the other guard with a face that is no less flat.

“Cihhhh, you think you are who would dare to threaten me like this. Just so you know, I'm not a doll. This life is mine and I am free to decide what I want. Understand you!” amuk Casandra with eyes that begin to heat up. His chest hurt so much because now everyone seemed to deliberately corner him to obey. Yes if Casandra knew the exact cause why she should receive this kind of treatment, but the truth is? He was just being played for no apparent reason. Teach that Casandra rebelled like this?

Either burning emotions or how. The two guards violently pulled Casandra's hand and then were about to shoulder her body. Cadenza, who saw her daughter treated in such a way, felt very unacceptable. Cadenza quickly asked the guards to release Casandra and promised to advise her properly.

“Mr Cadenza, the two of us will only obey Mr. Jove's orders. So you should be able to convince Miss Casandra not to argue so we don't have to kill her!” said the guard violently pushing Miss Casandra's body into Mr. Cadenza's arms. After that the two of them retreated away without taking their eyes off everyone.

Cadenza took a long breath. He then saw his daughter's wrists flushed red from the strong pull of the guards. Unheartened, regretfully Cadenza hugged him. Her daughter was not wrong, but had to endure a great curse that had been passed down through the generations by the Lin family's ancestors.

“Pardon Dad, Cassey,”

“This is what you always feel every time you demand freedom and also an explanation from Jove, Dad. So can you just be a little kind to me now so I don't keep getting confused? I'm an adult, Dad. I am no longer a child who just cries and whines. Please understand how I feel!” casandra lirih.

“Alright, I'll tell you everything you want to hear. Provided that on condition that you won't rebel against all the rules that Jove gives you. Believe, Cassey. All Jove did was for your safety. Okay?” sahut Cadenza decided to tell all the secrets embedded in his daughter. Let it be, maybe this is the best way for his daughter not to get rough treatment from Jove's men.

Casandra nodded obediently to the promise her father had asked for. After that Casandra immediately followed the steps of the father who invited her into the room. Leaving Fidel with the two guards who were still watching him with cold, flat eyes.
