The Dreamers

The Dreamers
Greatest Player

When the other children were playing while the summer holidays were coming, Hiro could only see them from inside the house.

That afternoon, Hiro decided to make a few bottles of fresh drinks for his sale tomorrow. No one helped him. He's just alone.

In the dimly lit lights that lit up the entire house, Hiro could finally finish packing 10 bottles of drink. Time has shown at five o'clock in the afternoon. His stomach had been rumbling since then, but he could only hold his hunger until his father came home later.

"Huuhh.., it's finally over.., hope it sells out tomorrow!" Hiro.

Hiro then cleaned the remnants of materials and tools to make drinks bottles. He also washed his clothes that were soaked in sweat because all day had accompanied him here and there.

...

The chirping of birds accompanied Hiro's turbulent heart with a spirit of change. The soccer shoes that were placed in the corner of his room he always noticed. Ryota's football boots became a great motivation for him to continue his aspirations to become the greatest footballer.

...

Hiro stared blankly ahead as he sat in front of the house, waiting for his father to come home.

By six o'clock in the evening, his father had returned from work. "Dad's home!" Hiro's Father.

"Welcome to Dad!"

Hiro's father then put his hat and uniform on the hanger. His face and hands were filled with the dust of the development project. Her lips were dry as if she had not been drinking since.

"Will I have a drink or a shower?"

"Ahh, I took a bath first, it's sultry, '" replied Dad with a smile.

"All right,"

And just like the previous nights, Hiro and his father always had dinner together using the rest of his father's lunch.

"Sorry son, I can't give you good food yet,"

"It's okay Well, this chicken curry has always been my favorite! hehe," said Hiro who was still chewing his food.

Hiro's father looks happy even though his heart is actually very miserable to see his son live all the shortcomings like this. "Hopefully in the future, you can live without this kind of hardship, son..,"

"Dad..," Hiro looked at his father's face which was still full of dirt and dust. "Yes Dad! I will change the fate of our family! haha!"

Hiro's father ruffled his son's hair, "You're a good boy indeed..,"

They continued eating until they finished.

After finishing, Hiro and his father were already preparing to sleep after getting tired of their respective activities this day. They slept in the same room, just apart from a curtain.

"Good night!"

Although the time still showed at eight o'clock at night, they were both too tired. They should also always get up early to prepare for their busy day early.

His father was too tired and only thought of sleeping as soon as possible. After taking a bath, Hiro decided to tell his sales business to his father tomorrow only.

...

...

The dawn has arrived, Hiro and his father are also awake. They took a shower and then had breakfast.

At breakfast, Hiro tells his father proudly that he is currently trying to sell himself.

Hiro showed his father a basket filled with bottles. "Liat Well! I'm selling this drink!" Hiro said in between breakfast.

"Hiro?!" Hiro's father looked surprised, "B-How about..? where'd you get it?"

"Hehehe.., I used my savings to buy the ingredients myself..,"

"U-your savings money..?" Hiro's father was at a loss for words.

"Hehe..Yeah, what do you think?"

"Eee.., what are you doing this for?" Hiro's Father's fingers shook.

"Hmmm.., I want to make some extra money Dad! I want to apply to football school together with Ryota!"

"Ugh!" Hiro's father was shocked to the point of choking a little. He did not expect his son to try himself for the sake of his dreams.

For some reason, tears started to flow down Dad's cheeks. "Hiro..," Hiss Hiro's father. "You don't have to do this...,"

"uh? why Dad?" Hiro showed his flat face.

"You are still a child, it is not yet feasible to bear the burden of half a family like this..," Hiro's father's cry began to be clearly seen. "If you want money to apply to football school, just tell Dad! I'll definitely work even harder..,"

"Dad..," Hiro said softly as he began to understand his father's feelings.

Hiro got off the chair, and walked around the table to his father's chair which was down with tears soaking his jeans.

"Dad worked hard. I've been fighting alone all this time. Now I'm going to help you, but why did you refuse?"

Hiro's father could not say anything. Imagine, a 12-year-old child like Hiro, already understands the situation he is experiencing. He knew that his father was always trying to do it himself. He didn't want to keep waiting, he wanted to go.

"Son.., I just want to say that I'm so proud of you..," Hiro's father's hand held onto his son's shoulder. "Father lucky to have a child as tough as you, son..,"

"Thank you, Dad..,"

"Dad sure Hiro! I'm sure that you'll be the greatest player ever! keep fighting for your dreams!"

"Yes Dad.., if I make it later, I'll buy you good food!"

"Hehehe, it's better than the curry we eat, right?" Hiro's father was still joking.

"Ihihi.., definitely better than Kari!"

"Haha!"

...

"All right, Dad's leaving soon. See you in the afternoon!" Having already worn the uniform and the project cap, Hiro's father left for work.

"Be careful Dad!"

Hiro also had to go to the store immediately to leave his merchandise there.

...

Hiro had already arrived at the store, and was looking for the store owner. "Excuse me! Aunty!"

Wailing around, finally Aunt the store owner came from inside. "Who? you were a kid yesterday afternoon, right? what's coming here so early?"

"It's Bi.., I'm gonna drop this drink at Auntie's store!" Hiro showed me a basket full of drinks.

"Eh?" The shop owner was surprised. He did not expect that Hiro was serious about leaving his trading.

"I'm selling 75.eh no! 80 Yen yes Bi!" Hiro.

"I-Yes," The shopkeeper's aunt could only accept Hiro's belongings.

"Yes already.., I went home first huh Bi! I'll be back tonight!" Hiro waved his hand and went through the shop door.

But before that, "Hey boy! what's your name?!" Shouted Aunt.

"My name?" Hiro looked over after being called. "My name is Hiro!"

"Oh.., Hiro ya..," muttered Bibi.

"Yes yes, yes..! I'll go first!" Hiro is really gone.

...

The next day, Hiro did the same. Continues to..Keep doing the same thing, which is selling drinks.

Until the night of the last summer vacation, Hiro comes to Bibi's store to collect the money from the sale.

"Hello Bi!" Sapa Hiro's.

"Oh..Hiro! you came to get the money?" The aunt smiled to see Hiro coming.

"Yes Bi!"

It had been a month that Hiro kept coming to Aunt's store just to drop off and pick up merchandise. They both are getting closer too.

"This is Hiro.., your merchandise today, as it usually sells out!" Aunt gave money from the sale to Hiro.

"Thank you Bi!"

"Together!"

Hiro then returned home that night with a successful pocket of 200 yen. Hiro continued walking with a smile emanating from his face.

On the way, Hiro meets Ryota. "Oh hey Ryo!"

"hiro's? Where did it end? why smile for yourself?" Ryota asked, but Ryota already knew the answer. "Ohh.., you must have run out of Aunt's store to get your money for sale, right?"

"Hehe, yes..," Hiro scratched his head.

Just like his father, Hiro has also told Ryota about his sales efforts, and Ryota is very supportive of Hiro.

"Hows it? is your sale a success?"

"This month, I've earned a gross profit of 6,000 Yen(Rp. 700,000), but half I used to buy materials and tools to sell, so my profit was actually 3,000 Yen(Rp. 350,000) this month." Obviously Hiro.

"Ahh.., you're counting too much..," Ryota is very upset with the so-called 'count'. "Yes already, so how? You've decided to enroll in football school, haven't you?" Ask Ryota back.

"Surely dong!" Hiro answered excitedly. "But which football school do we want to enroll in? are there a lot of them?"

"Oh.., take it easy, a friend of my father was a coach at a football school. Maybe we'll both sign up there, too,"

"Well! that's nice! lucky your dad has a coach friend!" Hiro is happy because he believes the football school he will attend is definitely not bad. "Then, when will we sign up!"

"Ahaha, are you impatient like that? Hmmm, maybe I'll just tell my dad and he'll sign us up. How's it?"

"Oh..Okay fine! So can you!"

"Yes, I'll go straight home Hiro. See you at school tomorrow!"

"Bye bye!"

Hiro and Ryota return home.

At home, Hiro is still so spirited. "Dad! I'll be signing up for football school soon!"

"Well.so excited! where's the place?"

"Hmm, it looks like it's at Ryota's dad's friend's place,"

His father breathed a sigh of relief. Hiro's father is convinced that his son will no longer be demeaned in his football school this time around. "Thank God, I hope you're at home there, son. I've always supported you!"

...

As always believed, the Sun always drowns at night, but it will shine brightly again the next day. That's what Hiro has. He emerged from the darkness of life, and began to crawl in search of the light of hope.

But will the shining sun always shine brightly? Or will there be thick clouds and fog blocking it?

...

Today will mark the beginning of the birth of the greatest footballer from Japan. Miyoko Takehiro.
