Ch 45 — Ikumi VS Ifrit

Meanwhile, on the outside of the territory of Tohrei Ifrit and Ikumi seem to be facing each other. They faced off in the forest.

They fight on Tohrei's orders. It was done to train Ikumi. Ikumi has a huge potential to evolve into a monster above S rank in the near future. But only if he is trained.

After improving Ikumi's magic, it is now her sword science turn. Ikumi was quite quick to master it. They dueled to check already how strong Ikumi was.

“Is miss ready?” Ifrit asked Ikumi. His movement was already in a position ready to fight. Ifrit held a sword of fire in his hand.

“Ikumi will attack first!” Ikumi go ahead first. He swung his sword towards Ifrit.

Ifrit's sword swing was dodged so easily. But after that Ikumi again swung his sword towards Ifrit. Ikumi coated her sword with sharp wind magic.

This time Ifrit did not dodge it, he deflected it using his fire sword blade.

As a result of the clash between the fire and the wind from the two swords, an explosion occurred and they instantly retreated several steps to avoid injury.

After retreat they again launched an attack. Ikumi attacked using her wind magic.

“!” Dozens of magic circles were created around Ikumi. From within each magic circle came out a wind arrow that shot towards Ifrit.

Ifrit also carried out an attack. He created dozens of fireballs of the same amount as Ikumi's wind arrows and blasted them.

But what was unexpected was that all the wind arrows belonging to Ikumi were absorbed into the fireball of Ifrit. That was not Ikumi's speculation at all.

Even so, Ikumi was able to avoid all those fireballs with enough hassles. After dodging all that, Ikumi again advanced and attacked Ifrit many times with his sword.

Everything can be avoided by Ifrit easily. Ikumi's goal isn't about Ifrit with his sword. The purpose of swinging his sword towards Ifrit was to buy time and distract. When the goal is achieved, Ikumi retreats.

As soon as Ikumi retreated, the ground churned and from where Ifrit stood came a huge whirlwind. As a result, the figure of Ifrit is not visible.

“Ah! Succeed!” Ikumi shouted happily while raising her fist upwards. But it turns out he can not be happy because—

“Don't be happy first miss Ikumi.” Ifrit's voice sounded from a height.

—Ifrit turned out fine. He floated above the whirlwind that was supposed to belong to Ikumi. Now the whirlwind turned into a blazing fire tornado.

“Kak Ifrit cheats constantly take my magic!” Ikumi puffed her cheeks.

As a result of the fire tornado, created smoke mixed with the heat of the fire covered the entire view. Ikumi had to close her eyes and nose and mouth so as not to get hit by the blow and simultaneously she tried to avoid the fire tornado.

Ikumi opened her eyes slowly as she felt the spreading smoke had disappeared. But just opening his eyes a little, Ifrit was quickly right in front of him and launched an attack. He did not attack using the blade of his sword but only with the hilt.

Ifrit banged the handle of his sword against Ikumi's head. “Aduh!” Ikumi responds to Ifrit's attack.

“You must stay focused in the fight Miss Ikumi.” Ifrit warns Ikumi.

The smoke then faded, and the fire tornado seemed to have disappeared.

“Good..” Ikumi replied to Ifrit while holding his head which had been hit by the handle of Ifrit's sword. Even though it was only a sword hilt, it turned out to be quite painful.

“We rest for a while then exercise back.”

“Eh...? We practicing again? Isn't Ikumi strong enough?”

“Yes, miss Ikumi is strong enough, but that does not mean the strongest.we will practice until sunset. This is lord Tohrei's order.”

“What? Master said that?” Ikumi felt disbelief.

“Tuan Tohrei said it himself, we as followers of Mr. Tohrei must serve him and be in the front row. What if one day you are gone because of our weakness?”

“Kak Ifrit has a point..” Ikumi. He would certainly feel guilty if his Master were gone because of his incompetence.

After that Ikumi was determined. He patted both cheeks and got up. “Ikumi will be strong!”

“Good determination, but we'd better have lunch first.” Ifrit smiled faintly.

When Ifrit said it, Ikumi's stomach rang. “Um! Let's have lunch!”

After eating, Ikumi felt something strange on her body. But that's not because of the food he eats.

“Ikumi's body feels weird. Ikumi's height somehow keeps growing.”

“Maybe because miss is in her infancy, that's a natural thing.”
