Day went by day, the sun was increasingly shining on the universe. Hot air mingles with pollution, is something that always accompanies every life in a big city.
The weather was pretty rough that day. However, a different atmosphere was felt in the residence of the Waradana Family. The house looks cool and beautiful because many shade plants that grow well maintained in the yard of the house is very spacious and luxurious.
From the kitchen of the house, the smell of cuisine that filled all the rooms.
"Pearl Mama, what else to cook, Ma?" A girl went straight into the kitchen because she was tempted by the smell of delicious food being cooked by someone there.
"Eh, your tumben's home at this hour, Dila?" greet the woman, but her focus remains on the flour dough and eggs she was cultivating at the time.
"Yes, Ma. There was only one course, so I could go home sooner" said Ardila as she approached Pearl who was busy making cake dough.
"Wow, it looks like you're cooking a lot today, is there anything special?" asked Ardila while paying attention to some types of dishes that have been cooked by Pearl.
"Mama cooked Baruna's favorite food, this afternoon she came home from Sydney" said Mutiara smiling sumringah.
"Having not been home for a year, he must have missed home cooking" Mutiara continued. He had already missed the return of his eldest son so much that a happy smile was always attached to his lips as he imagined the son would soon return to his home.
Ardila simply nodded and smiled wryly at Pearl's explanation. Although he actually knew that Baruna, his step-sister was already in the city from a week ago, but he did not break his promise to still not tell all about Baruna to their two parents.
"Oh yeah ... This afternoon huh, Ma? Why can I forget!" sumpul Ardila, pretending not to remember the date of Baruna's return.
"Yes, honey," said the Pearl.
"Is there anything I can help you with, Ma?" asked Ardila, then took the flour dough from Pearl's hand and intended to help him to finish his work faster in the kitchen.
"Here, please put this cookie dough in the oven, honey!" Pearl handed over a baking pans containing cookies to Ardila and Ardila immediately put them in the oven according to her mother's orders.
The two were then both busy continuing to finish all their dishes while occasionally joking.
Although not a child and biological mother, Ardila and Mutiara are very close and loving to each other. Pearls always give the same affection to their three children, without discriminating against each other.
"It finally settled too!" ardila exclaimed as she wiped the sweat that soaked her forehead after finishing arranging all the food and serving it on the dining table.
"Thank you a lot, Dila. Fortunately you help Mama, otherwise Mama must be overwhelmed by cooking this much on her own," said Mutiara was happy because Ardila had helped her.
.
"Well, there's a lot of food these days. Looks like something really special today?" A man who had just walked into the dining room, was also amazed to see the amount of food on the dining table that day.
"Eh, Papa! Today Papa also came home early, Pa?" Ardila smiled when she saw Arkha had come home from the office and immediately approached her and Pearl who had almost finished all her work in the dining room at that time.
"Must be sure your father also wants to quickly return from the office and wait for Baruna who will come home today, Dila," said Mutiara without giving her husband a chance to answer Ardila's question.
"That's right, Bang?" he asked with a smile looking at Arkha who also nodded, not dismissing what his wife said.
.
By evening, Baruna returned to the house as scheduled and was greeted warmly by her parents, including Ardila.
"How are you, Una? Mama misses you, baby." The pearl hugged her son tightly with longing.
"I also miss Mama," said Baruna, hugging her mother tightly.
"How was your trip, son? Papa is very happy that you are coming home and from now on you will continue to be with us here," Arkha also hugged and patted her son on the back.
Arkha was also very happy to welcome his first son back home.
"Sir Dila! Brother how are you? I miss the same brother. I don't know how many years we haven't seen you, sister!"
After being greeted with longing hugs by Arkha and Pearl, Baruna also sprang to hug her sister, Ardila.
"Theatricality!" whispered Ardila sneered, right in Baruna's ear as they hugged.
"Sister more and more beautiful days," reply Baruna diverted and deliberately did not respond to the sneers of Ardila. While looking closely at her brother's face, Baruna blinked one eye and smiled wryly. He was very sure, even though Ardila knew he was just pretending, but Ardila must not have told Arkha and Pearl all the truth about him.
Ardila just poked her lips at her sister's silly behavior.
They all sat in the living room and chatted there for a while. The atmosphere of longing was very felt among the four people. Arkha and Mutiara looked very happy because the eldest son had now returned home and would no longer leave the house to return to Australia.
"How's Arnav doing, Pa? Does he live in France?" baruna asked as she remembered her younger sister who was still abroad to study.
"Surely he felt at home there, Una. Your sister really likes to learn, she must be very busy with her college assignments," Arkha said. A proud smile was also painted on his lips as he realized that his two sons had received an excellent education in accordance with what he had aspired to so far.
"I also miss the Book Nerdy Boy," he licked Baruna also felt homesick with her sister who had been separated from her for almost two years.
"Huh, you son of a bitch, Una! You always make fun of your sister like that!" cut Pearl did not like to hear Baruna who always mocked her sister with the call 'Book Nerd'.
"Yes, the truth is Arnav is so, his hobby is just learning and learning!" seloroh Baruna chuckled.
The four people then chuckled simultaneously. Arkha and Pearl only smiled faintly, when they realized that Arnav, their second biological son, had a much different nature to Baruna. Arnav tends to be more introverted and innocent, but is very intelligent and loves to learn about a wide variety of sciences.
"Oh yeah, congratulations, Una! You have finished your studies in Sydney. Papa will soon teach you to take care of Papa's company," Arkha said excitedly. Of course, after Baruna finished his education in Kangaroo Country, he harbored great hopes for his son, in order to continue the wheels of his business later.
"Thank you, Pa." Baruna only smiled faintly in response to the congratulations from her papa. There was a hint of displeasure in his mind, upon hearing Arkha discuss about taking care of the company to him, while he himself was not satisfied enjoying his youth.
"We should eat now. Mama and Ardila have cooked your favorite meal, Una!" pearl Crushed. "You sure miss home cooking, don't you?" continued Mutiara while taking the three to the dining room.
