The Estuary of Desire Baruna

The Estuary of Desire Baruna
Eps. #6 Go Home

"Aaw!" Jeffrey touched his hot, sore cheek after getting two loud slaps by Baruna's hand.

"I'm sorry, Bar! I had no idea she was your sister at all" she continued to show shame and regret.

"Thankfully you came quickly. Otherwise, it could be soon we become brothers-in-law," kekeh Jeffrey tried to hide his nervousness and shame to his best friend.

"Do you really think I want to have an ugly, weak and annoying brother-in-law like you?" ketus Baruna was upset with the silliness that Jeffrey made.

"Yeah .. anyways, it's wrong of you to bring a beautiful woman into this room without my knowledge. So I was-" Jeffrey grumbled as he ruffled his own hair and smiled as a whim.

"What, huh? You think all women are the same, can you sleep at any time you like?" baruna's grin cuts off Jeffrey's speech.

"I booked and paid for this room, so I'd love to bring anyone here, Jeff!" baruna firmly and smilingly sneered while pointing her index finger at Jeffrey's face.

Seeing Jeffrey's ridiculous behavior, Baruna no longer thought of beating him up. Although upset, he knew that Jeffrey was also still under the influence of alcohol so Baruna did not want to continue his anger towards his best friend.

Baruna turned her head towards Ardila who was still sitting trembling on the bed.

"Son, is it okay?" tanya Baruna felt worried as well as guilty towards Ardila while embracing her shoulders tightly.

"I'm sorry, brother. I forgot to tell Brother that I locked the weak and annoying man in the bathroom" Baruna said, glancing at him and giving a slanted look at Jeffrey, who just silently stared in front of him.

"Nothing, Una," said Ardila in a soft voice and trembling still could not ease the fear.

"Son't got to get out of here, Una. Twice Brother almost missed the damn crucifixion here," complained Ardila as she held Baruna's hand to expel all the feelings that made her feel tense at that time.

"Yes, Brother. Hurry home! Papa Mama must have waited."

"Hurry up and put this shirt on, brother!" Baruna handed over a paper bag to Ardila.

For a moment he turned to look at Jeffrey who was still in front of them.

"God! Why are you hanging out there, Jeff?" baruna Bengpak.

"Where should I go, Bar?" jeffrey Barbecue.

Chequek!

Baruna locked the door from the outside.

"Baruna, please don't lock me in here again! It's cold and wet, I can catch a cold if I have to sleep here!" jeffrey yelled softly from inside the bathroom.

"Your train, Jeff! That's because you're playing brushes carelessly!" ledek Baruna smiled cynically.

Regardless of Jeffrey's cry, Baruna returned to Ardila.

"What's the sister going home?" baruna asked Ardila when her brother was wearing the clothes he had just bought.

"Online taxi, Una. Brother has ordered through the application," explained Ardila as she stepped out of the room.

"Alright if so I will take Brother to the front of the lobby," Baruna bargained, because he intended to make sure that there would be no more things that could endanger the safety of his brother.

"Yes, Una." Ardila also did not reject Baruna's offer. He felt safe when his sister was there to protect him.

"You should also go home soon, Una. The house people all miss you!" saran Ardila reminded, while rubbing the head of her half-sister.

"Surely, Brother. Next week I will definitely go home" said Baruna obediently.

Baruna then drove Ardila down the elevator to the hotel's main lobby to wait for a taxi in the pick up zone area.

"So, take good care of yourself. And remember don't tell mom and dad that I'm actually back from Sydney" Baruna said as the taxi arrived and Ardila got into the back seat.

"Well, Una!" respond to Ardila while pointing one of her thumbs in front of Baruna.

Ardila waved her hand from behind the windshield as the taxi began to drive out of the hotel, and Baruna replied the same.

Baruna continued to wait for Ardila there until the taxi that Ardila was riding had completely disappeared from his sight.
