System 58: Encounter
The giant bear roared loudly and instantly fixed both of its eyes on Li Chen. The horses as well as his Ki radiated energy had made the giant bear feel threatened.
“GRAA!!”
His claws that were so large and sharp in swung without hesitation towards Li Chen.
While Li Chen who saw the arrival of the swing had locked onto his target. His clenched hands and rotational legs were ready to rotate to strike behind the giant bear's claws.
“(Now!)”
When Li Chen wanted to swing his fist, suddenly Gong Qiao shouted from behind him.
“Do not!”
His shout made Li Chen's fist stall in mid-air. His divided attention from hearing Gong Qiao's cry made him immediately look back.
“Hah?!”
“Don't hurt him!”

It was the first word that appeared within Li Chen. He asked and had a confused face towards Gong Qiao's words.
On the other hand, the giant bear did not hold back the swing of its claws. He continued swinging and even attacked Li Chen from behind who was barely hit hard and managed to put the defensive horses with both arms.

“Urgh!”
Li Chen's quite painful groan was followed by his body being pushed aside until one step nearly bumped against the tree by his side.
Although his body had just been hit by an attack, Li Chen did not receive such a fatal wound. His still surprised attention to Gong Qiao's words made him turn his head back towards her.
“Qiao’er, what did you mean earlier?!”
Gong Qiao directly approached Li Chen and led him backwards into the forest. They let the giant bear run wild while trying to chase them from behind.
“Graa!!”
“As I said, don't hurt him!” answer Gong Qiao
“If it doesn't hurt him, how can we survive?!” sahut Li Chen who became a little emotional and raised his tone
“Run only!” sahut Gong Qiao
“HAH?!!! You are crazy, we are here to strengthen ourselves. Why are we running away?!” grouchy Li Chen
Gong Qiao and Li Chen who were in the middle of the debate immediately came to a halt. Their attention was turned backwards as they saw the giant bear running faster and closer to them.

The trees were uprooted and shifted as the large body of the bear was trying to break through in order to chase them both. While Li Chen himself, who saw himself being chased constantly could no longer hold back.
He held back his footsteps and no longer fled. Gong Qiao who kept running earlier became to come to a stop and turned towards Li Chen.
“Chen!” yelled Gong Qiao
His hands were wide open on both sides. His eyes that looked sharply straight at the giant bear that did not stop chasing him, did not show a feeling of trepidation emanated from Li Chen.
On the other hand, the increasingly frightened and worried Gong Qiao was confused to see Li Chen standing still as if waiting for the bear to approach.
“Chen, what are you doing?!”
“You said you can't hurt him right?!”
“GRAA!!”
But that would not happen to him. Because Li Chen instantly fused his two palms together as if issuing a clapping sound that was so strong and loud.

The Ki energy that coated both of his arms was increasing Li Chen's physical abilities. So, when he put the two sides of his palm together, created a sound that was so loud and able to make the surrounding noise.
Gong Qiao himself had to cover his ears tightly with both palms.

If Gong Qiao was like that, what about the big bear that was right in front of the loud voice?
Of course, the bear immediately whimpered in pain until it fell and lost consciousness. His mouth was foaming and his body was trembling as if a loud clap of the hand was entering into his bones.

Shortly after, the shrill sound of Li Chen's clapping had subsided. Gong Qiao who was standing far behind him instantly opened his two ears slowly. His gaze looked confused as well as astonished.
Wh why? Of course, it was Li Chen who always surprised him.
“A-what was it.... just now?” muttered Gong Qiao
“I strengthened both my arms to create such a loud sound wave. You said you can't hurt her, so I chose the easiest method so that this bear doesn't get hurt”
After hearing Li Chen's explanation, Gong Qiao briefly wanted to take a breath and put out his words. However, it was not so and he only let out a long sigh as if relieved.
His eyes opened and turned to look at the bear. He was trapped and helpless in his unconscious condition. Gong Qiao slowly walked up to him and stroked his soft brown fur.
When Gong Qiao was stroking the bear's fur, Li Chen who saw it somehow felt guilty. Though it was him who had just saved Gong Qiao's life and himself, but the situation looked like Li Chen had already hurt the bear without mercy.
“(Why.... is the situation like this? Why do I feel like a bad person?)”
Shortly after, Gong Qiao withdrew his gaze and turned his head towards Li Chen. The look in his eyes was gleaming as if filled with tears that he held back with all his might. With a look like a begging puppy, Gong Qiao asked him.

Gong Qiao's worried feeling flowed directly into Li Chen. Moreover, the sight of his eyes that were so moaning that crying made Li Chen heartless and let out a long sigh.
