إِنَّ الْمَرْأَةَ خُلِقَتْ مِنْ ضِلَعٍ, لَنْ تَسْتَقِيْمَ لَكَ عَلَى طَرِيْقَةٍ, فَإِنِ اسْتَمْتَعْتَ بِهَا اِسْتَمْتَعْتَ بِهَا وَفِيْهَا عِوَجٌ, وَإِنْ ذَهَبْتَ تُقِيْمُهَا كَسَرْتَهَا وَكَسْرُهَا طَلاَقُهَا

“Verily the woman was created from the ribs, she cannot be straight for you on one path. If you want to be wise with him then you can be wise with him but there is a bend in him. If you insist on straightening it, you will break it. And the break is his talc.”

(CHR. Muslim)

Obviously Allah Ta’ala created a woman from a crooked rib, until whenever the bone will never be straight, then when trying to straighten it there will be broken, because protecting a woman cannot be by force. Must always be soft in the face of every movement.

Allah Ta’ala says :

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُواْ رَبَّكُمُ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُم مِّن نَّفْسٍ وَاحِدَةٍ وَخَلَقَ مِنْهَا زَوْجَهَا وَبَثَّ مِنْهُمَا رِجَالاً كَثِيراً وَنِسَاء وَاتَّقُواْ اللّهَ الَّذِي تَسَاءلُونَ بِهِ وَالأَرْحَامَ إِنَّ اللّهَ كَانَ عَلَيْكُمْ رَقِيباً

“O mankind, fear your Lord who created you from one self, and from whom Allah created his wife; and from both Allah bred many men and women. And fear Allah with (using) His name you ask each other, and (keeping) the relationship of friendship. Verily Allah is ever watchful and watchful over you.” (QS and Nisaa :1)

So do not be a man who easily spills anger on a woman or her wife. The husband must be able to withstand any anger that always wants to come out. For the strong man is the one who can restrain and not vent his anger.

Prophet Shallallahu’alaihi wa sallam said:

“لَيْسَ الشَّدِيدُ بِالصُّرَعَةِ، إِنَّمَا الشَّدِيدُ الَّذِي يَمْلِكُ نَفْسَهُ عِنْدَ الْغَضَبِ“

“The strong person is not a wrestling champion, but the strong person is the one who is able to hold back while temur”. (CHR. Bukhari and Muslim from Abu Hurayrah)

From Abu Hurairah radhiyallahu anhu that there was a man said to the Prophet ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ “ Give me will.”. He replied, “You don't get mad!” The man repeated his request over and over again, then the Prophet, ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ “You must not be angry!”

(HR al-Bukhari).

Allah Ta’ala says:

فَبِمَا رَحْمَةٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ لِنْتَ لَهُمْ وَلَوْ كُنْتَ فَظًّا غَلِيظَ الْقَلْبِ لانْفَضُّوا مِنْ حَوْلِكَ

“Because of Allah's mercy are you gentle with them. If you are being rude again being hard-hearted, surely they are distancing themselves from your surroundings.”

(Ali Imron: 159)

Shaykh Salim bin Id Hilali in Sharah Riyadhush Shalihin revealed"

"the content of the Prophet's hadith about Allah Ta’ala created women from crooked ribs. Namely, a man should be weak to women because of their weakness and weakness of their intellect. Women may not be forever straight in some circumstances. Therefore, men should adjust themselves so that household life can be harmonious."
