The Horror Story
Empty Cupboard (Part 2)

“Sick! Help u! It's hard!”

I gulped dry saliva, the heat flooded the area of my back and my hands were sweating. I dare not move one bit. Even my mouth that wanted to scream could only twitch a little stiffly. Mom, I'm scared.

“Sick! Help u! It's hard!”

“…”

“Sick! Help u! It's hard!”

“...” Mother I am afraid, and I can only sob in the heart. From between the open classroom doors, straight towards the empty closet, I clearly saw it. My eyes widened, unconsciously my legs took a step back, I prayed that my consciousness would be lost right then and there.

There, right in front of the empty closet, it was scattered with a body full of wounds and blood swerving wide at me. My heart is getting pumped up stronger, my breath up and down racing strongly.

“Sick! Help u! It's hard!” She raised her arm, then waved it at me. “Sick! Help u! It's hard!”

Mom, I'm scared.

“Please, HELP ME!!!”

“AAA!!”

The afternoon sun woke me from sleep, stretching out my hands and getting up to sit, I stared around me. And I realized I was in my own room, in the corner of Linda's room asleep in the study chair holding a novel.

“Why is he here?” I wondered, lifting the blanket that locked my body and getting out of bed to wake up my new friend.

“Hey, Linda's awake. Why are you sleeping here?”

Linda blinked her sleepy eyes, but the reaction when she could see me clearly shocked me. He hugged me and cried.

“Rini, finally you wake up.”

Not knowing what he meant by clearly, I could only be silently flabbergasted while returning his embrace.

“Yes, I wake up, so why?”

Linda quickly let go of her embrace, her puffy eyes staring into my eyes in disbelief. “Rini, you were passed out for three days.”

“Ha?”

What the fuck? I screamed in my heart, staring at Linda in disbelief. I fainted three days?

“Yes, you want not Tuesday yesterday?”

Yesterday's tuesday? What day is it now?

Still confused, but I try to remember. Last Tuesday was the day I heard the story behind the empty closet myth, then…

Remember right?” seeing my reaction, linda asked to be sure, then I nodded in response. “That time I did not go straight home, but found a guard. Then I heard your screams. You passed out right in front of our class, Rin.”

I blinked, still looking in disbelief at Linda. I carried my body sitting on the bed with my head still hovering.

So, after seeing this I immediately fainted. But thankfully, I did not know what would happen if I stayed awake and watched the blood-filled body.

“That day I saw sekar-,”

“What? You saw sekar?”

I'm nodding. “Hm. He kept saying ‘Sick! Help u! It's hard!’.”

“As in story.” I looked at linda. It was true that similar to linda's story, she told those three words, but from her tone it seemed like the story she was telling was not completely finished yet.

“What you told me was not completely finished right?” I asked while looking at his two eyeballs, then he nodded answering me.

“Yes, the story is not finished because I think it is not the interesting point of the whole story.” linda took a deep breath, like she took the horses to continue the story.

“Actually, in that moment now not only alone, but he was with someone. His name was Wulandari. From the story I heard, he is the best friend and the biggest rival now.

However, it seems that the friendship between them is not so strong, when now consider Wulandari as the best friend, wulandari only made friendship as a cover for him to approach now to know what has been managed to get from his achievements.

And when the tragic incident happened, Wulandari just kept quiet and saw how much pain while asking for his help but Wulandari just left without giving help or seeking help.”

I exhaled my breath that I had held for so long when I heard Linda tell a story. I also felt tears reminiscing in the corner of my eyes before finally falling down my cheeks. Very sorry, he hoped to get help from people he trusted but he even got betrayal.

“Kupik sekar can not calm down because too disappointed with wulandari.” the quiet atmosphere, again broke after I made a sound.

Linda nodded, her face not much different from mine.

“Em. I think so too. But, do you want to know? Karma comes to those who do it. Not even a month later, he was put in a mental hospital, he was crazy. Unsettled, serene spirits disturbed him day and night. Maybe that's a form of disappointment against Wulandari,”

After that there was silence between us. The sun that rolled to the western horizon, screeching black color filled the sky. Linda said goodbye and I drove her to the front of the gate.

As Linda continued her story about the empty closet this afternoon, my memories during my fainting were repeated in my brain. People might look at me with pity because I fainted, but in my subconscious, I met now.

I travel back in time to when I was alive and I wanted to be her best friend, I watched them spend the day together, they laughed and shared stories.

Unfortunately the time they spent together did not mean much to him. Sekar, who is still wandering until now, is an evil spirit that absorbs the current disappointment when he saw his only friend leave him to take his life.

I don't think it's wrong to make a woman out of her mind, because if I were in the current position, I would do the same.

For to me there is nothing more cruel than the betrayal of the person we trust the most.
