The Next Of Phoenix

The Next Of Phoenix
Chapter 36. A Great Disappointment

Xiao Mingyui and Xiao Jiwang were now walking together in the crowd of the market with a piece of dried fruit sweets and tanghulu boxes, since the sweets ordered were too much and it was impossible for the two of them to spend at that very instant, Xiao Mingyui finally decided to wrap their order.

Xiao Jiwang held the sweets in his left hand, while his right hand tightly grasped Xiao Mingyui's hand.

The two of them stopped right in front of the hairpick seller, Xiao Mingyui's eyes twinkled at the many types and models of hairpicks. Xiao Jiwang was not particularly interested, the man simply remained silent beside Xiao Mingyui as he looked around.

"The mul-"

"Be careful." Xiao Jiwang interrupted Xiao Mingyui who was about to call him 'the noble' in the crowd.

Xiao Mingyui looked around, ah. Xiao Mingyui pondered a little, then ..what should he call Xiao Jiwang with?

"Call my name without a clan," Xiao Jiwang said, making Xiao Mingyui look up at the man.

Xiao Mingyui slightly frowned, she was not used to calling the man's name directly. However, since it was impossible during this time Xiao Mingyui did not call out to him, inevitably he should be able to do so.

Xiao Mingyui's lips smiled faintly, then asked, "Jiwang, how is this hair pin?"

Xiao Jiwang was stunned, he felt another strange throb in his heart just from hearing Xiao Mingyui call his name directly. Xiao Jiwang noticed Xiao Mingyui's appearance, his face slightly reddened.

Slowly, the man took off his grip to correct Xiao Mingyui's hairpick position. "If it's stabbed in this part it'll look better."

Xiao Mingyui did not move at all when Xiao Jiwang fixed the position of his hairpick personally. The woman's eyes were still staring at Xiao Jiwang's face, Xiao Mingyui realized that Xiao Jiwang's face was flushed even though it was covered in a mask. But he didn't say anything.

"Ay ... a matching couple!"

Xiao Jiwang and Xiao Mingyui were shocked when they heard the voice from the seller, the two of them quickly turned their heads towards the seller. The salesman smiled looking at the two of them.

"Gunniang, do you want to buy that hairpick?" ask the seller.

Xiao Mingyui nodded, then was about to take out his money bag. However, Xiao Jiwang suddenly gave the money to the seller first.

The seller smiled welcoming Xiao Jiwang's money, then said, "Are you newlyweds? I've only seen you guys for the first time at a festival market like this."

Xiao Mingyui was at a loss as to what to answer, her eyes immediately glanced at Xiao Jiwang.

Xiao Jiwang nodded, his lips smiling faintly. "We're not married yet, but we're officially engaged."

The seller laughed too. "Hohoho .. aiya, it's worth it that I see a red aura glow between you two."

Xiao Mingyui frowned. "Red aura?"

The seller smiled deeper. "My side job is fortune-telling, if Gunniang wants to know it more deeply, you can use my services."

Xiao Mingyui thought for a moment, to be honest he didn't really believe something like this. However, it did not seem to matter if he occasionally used services like this. After all, this would add to his entertainment.

Xiao Mingyui nodded, her lips smiling faintly. "Can I use your services?"

The seller nodded friendly. "Of course, Gunniang. Show me your palm."

Xiao Mingyui quickly gave his right palm, Xiao Jiwang who saw this rolled his eyeballs nightly. He considered what Xiao Mingyui did to be a stupid thing.

The seller quickly grabbed Xiao Mingyui's hand and watched her hand line deeply.

"The red light that appears on both of you looks a little faded, there is a chance that your marriage will fail. Either it's the third person or the death. Then ...."

Xiao Jiwang frowned when he heard the salesman's prophecy, then his eyes looked at Xiao Mingyui's face which still looked calm watching the salesman as well as the fortune teller.

The seller suddenly released his grasp, then smiled gently towards Xiao Mingyui. "You are destined to have an unusual destiny. I can't explain it in detail, because your aura and hand line are difficult to understand. Moreover, I see that there is an impending intervention of holy spiritual aura within your life destiny. For now, the choice of protecting each other and being open to each other is the most appropriate. I hope your marriage can be carried out smoothly, Your Majesty."

At the end of the sentence, Xiao Mingyui and Xiao Jiwang were slightly stunned. The fortune teller knew their identity without being told? This led Xiao Mingyui to believe that the clairvoyant was neither a pseudo fortune teller nor an ordinary person who was fond of making up stories about one's destiny.

Xiao Jiwang clasped Xiao Mingyui's hand again, then said, "Please note what sentence you are about to throw forward. What you say will determine when your death comes."

The fortuneteller smiled faintly, then nodded and bowed towards Xiao Jiwang. "I respect every customer's privacy."

Xiao Jiwang gave a short nod, then tossed the silver coin onto the astrologer's table and stepped away while holding Xiao Mingyui.

Xiao Jiwang walked very quickly, making Xiao Mingyui who wore long hanfu difficult to compensate for his footsteps. The two of them finally stopped under the shady large tree, Xiao Mingyui stared dejectedly at Xiao Jiwang for pulling his body at will.

"Your majesty, is your mood bad?" xiao Mingyui asked, this time he returned to a normal call because there was no one else around.

Xiao Jiwang shook his head. "No, why do you think so?"

Xiao Mingyui let out a thin sigh, then placed both of his fingers on Xiao Jiwang's furrowed brows. "Then why does this always look like an angry person?"

Xiao Jiwang who was about to reply, suddenly his eye gaze accidentally found Chen Qi who was throwing an emergency signal.

Xiao Mingyui who was also suddenly aware of Chen Qi's presence fell silent. Xiao Jiwang turned his head towards Xiao Mingyui, then said, "Wait for me here, there's a bit of business."

Xiao Mingyui waited alone under the tree, Xiao Jiwang long enough left him alone. Xiao Mingyui grew bored, the woman decided to take a look at the clothes seller who was not too far away from where she was standing.

Xiao Mingyui touched the hanfu cloth, hm.

As Xiao Mingyui was busy looking around, suddenly from behind came the voice of a melodious and gentle man.

"Princess Mingyui?"

Xiao Mingyui quickly turned his head, he was surprised to hear someone mention his name as well as his title. When he saw the figure of the man, Xiao Mingyui quickly smiled faintly. "Ah ... young master Fang?"

Fang Laowang, the man's lustrous black hair looked extremely beautiful. Plus, the man was now wearing the same white mask as himself. The two bright blue eyeballs similar to his late father made Xiao Mingyui fixated on continuously staring at the eyeball.

"You're alone here?" fang Laowang asked as he turned his head to and fro to find Xiao Mingyui's servant or colleague.

Xiao Mingyui shook her head. "No, I came with someone, but he's currently having a little business."

Fang Laowang nodded in understanding, he did not put down any strange thoughts. The man then turned his head towards the beautifully hanging hanfu-hanfu. "You want to buy hanfu here?"

Xiao Mingyui shook her head. "No, I was just looking around."

Fang Laowang nodded again, then looked back at Xiao Mingyui and smiled. "Are you willing to be my partner touring the festival tonight? I happen to be alone too."

Xiao Mingyui was about to reply to decline, but suddenly a torrential rain fell, making his reply stifled. Fang Laowang swiftly pulled Xiao Mingyui's hand to shade at a herbal medicine shop.

"Gosh, rain .." said Fang Laowang as he stared at the sky which was pouring down a very heavy rain. The man's hand was still tightly grasping Xiao Mingyui's hand.

Xiao Mingyui frowned, her eyes fixed on her wrists tightly grasped by Fang Laowang.

Xiao Mingyui quickly but politely removed Fang Laowang's grasp, making the man stare at the hands of the two of them. There was a glimmer of a cold look in Fang Laowang's eyes, but not for long, the man smiled back at Xiao Mingyui. "I'm sorry, your honor. I touched you without permission, but .. I'm really worried you'll get soaked later."

Xiao Mingyui nodded briefly. "No problem, young master Fang. I understand, thank you."

Fang Laowang nodded in satisfaction, then said,"Ah ..by the way, I hear you like all things that smell of art. Coincidentally I was interested in painting, I also heard that his Majesty is very good at painting. If you don't mind, would you be willing to look at and evaluate my artwork? I briefly repainted the painting of the late Huangtaihou niangniang and the late Xiao Wangfei niangniang, I thought you would be interested to see it?"

Xiao Mingyui who heard this couldn't resist either, but .. Given this man surnamed Fang, Xiao Mingyui wasn't so open.

"Of course, maybe next time if there is a chance to see your painting work, I will definitely help," Xiao Mingyui replied without giving any certainty as to when they would meet again.

Fang Laowang nodded, the man has yet to figure out the bad condition of the Fang family with some such personages as Xiao Wangfu and the Crown Prince. Hearing Xiao Mingyui's sentence, the man thought Xiao Mingyui was not very interested in what he said. But, the man did not give up, he kept trying.

"Alright, then will you allow me to visit Xiao Wangfu? I am very excited to show my work to you and prince Xiangqing. And if you don't mind, are you ready for-"

"For what?"

Xiao Jiwang's heavy and cold voice rang out, the man suddenly appeared before the two of them while wearing an umbrella. Xiao Jiwang's eyes looked extremely cold.

Fang Laowang frowned, he did not recognize Xiao Jiwang.

Xiao Mingyui bowed towards Xiao Jiwang, leaving Fang Laowang confused. Xiao Mingyui bowed? The princess title that Xiao Mingyui had was already very high, yet ... that woman bowed to the man who had just appeared? This made Fang Laowang wonder, who is this man before him?

"Your majesty, are you done?" xiao Mingyui asked.

Fang Laowang still did not realize that this man before him was the Crown Prince. Xiao Jiwang ignored Fang Laowang, the man turned to look at Xiao Mingyui and pulled Xiao Mingyui's hand to stand beside him.

Xiao Jiwang smiled towards Fang Laowang. "Thank you so much for accompanying my woman."

Fang Laowang frowned increasingly deeply. 'My woman'? Fang Laowang's heart slowly beat out of concern.

Xiao Mingyui who saw Fang Laowang bewildered immediately helped explain. "Young Master Fang, this is the Crown Prince's highness." Then he turned his head towards Xiao Jiwang. "Your highness, young master Fang just arrived at the capital a few days ago. Please don't put this into your heart, young master Fang just doesn't recognize you because he's rarely in the Capital."

Fang Laowang was stunned, he quickly bowed towards Xiao Jiwang. "I'm sorry that I didn't recognize your majesty, I deserve to be punished."

Xiao Jiwang stared coldly at Fang Laowang. "It doesn't matter, it's good that you already know."

The gaze of Fang Laowang's eyes quietly turned extremely cold, this gaze was not noticed by Xiao Mingyui and Xiao Jiwang, as the man was bowing.

"Then, have fun in the Capital, young master Fang. Once again thank you for accompanying my fiancee for a while," Xiao Jiwang said, making Fang Laowang secretly feel anger as well as coldness in his heart.

Xiao Jiwang turned his head again towards Xiao Mingyui, then said, "Come, we're back now. You can get sick if it's too long outside like this."

Xiao Mingyui frowned, Xiao Jiwang's sentence was indeed nothing strange, yet hearing Xiao Jiwang saying that to her was really very strange.

Xiao Jiwang loosened his arm holding an umbrella as Xiao Mingyui wrapped his hand, after which the two of them turned around and walked away leaving Fang Laowang who was still bowing with a gloomy look on his face.

Before long Fang Laowang re-enforced his body, his eyes still emitting an incredible coldness. There was a huge feeling of disappointment in his heart when he heard the news.
