The Next Of Phoenix

The Next Of Phoenix
Chapter 65. Household Imagination

The next morning, Xiao Mingyui was ready with her appearance to pay a visit to Fang Furen's hideout. On the way to the horse carriage, Xiao Mingyui's footsteps came to a halt as he saw the body of a maidservant beaten to death lying on the ground. There was a lot of blood and blood everywhere.

"What happened to that waiter?" xiao Mingyui asked.

Bingbing shuddered in horror, then replied, "I heard Xiao Wangye has just found a new spy in Xiao Wangfu and since the early morning the execution began. The servants became rowdy, but Master Gu who represented Xiao Wangye came and won them over saying that Wangye would not hurt those loyal to Xiao Wangfu."

Xiao Mingyui smiled at Bingbing's story, then continued her steps casually as if the corpse was nothing. He was happy that as Xiao Xiangqing began to take firm decisions, the man slowly changed more and more similar to the way their late father worked.

Arriving at the carriage, Xiao Mingyui rushed up. Xiao Wangfu's horse carriage was ready to slide towards the Southern end of the Capital City.

In the middle of the road, Xiao Mingyui's horse carriage met Fang Laowang's horse. Xiao Mingyui lifted the curtain of her window, then smiled. Fang Laowang nodded, returning Xiao Mingyui's smile. They finally set off in tandem towards Fang Furen's hideout.

After arriving, Xiao Mingyui descended. Fang Laowang had been standing not far from the carriage, the man immediately bowed to give his greetings as usual. Once enough to mince words, they finally decided to enter together.

"Mother?" Fang Laowang called Han Silue, until then Han Silue appeared from inside her room towards the living room with a bright smile. The woman walked up to them using a wooden stick.

"Princess Mingyui?" The first thing Fang Furen saw was Xiao Mingyui, the old woman hurriedly sat down right beside Xiao Mingyui and held her hand warmly.

Fang Laowang who saw this raised his left eyebrow at a glance. "Mother, you haven't forgotten your son this one, have you?"

Xiao Mingyui and Han Silue turned to look at Fang Laowang, then chuckled. Han Silue warmly grasped the hand of Fang Laowang who was sitting not far away from her as well. "Of course not, but princess Mingyui looks much sweeter than you."

Xiao Mingyui let out a small laugh hearing this, even though her entire expression was merely a lie.

Fang Laowang let out a thin sigh, putting on a look as if he was heartbroken. But soon he laughed and returned his mother's warm grasp.

Fang Laowang turned to take out his entire luggage. Fancy food and drinks returned to the table like yesterday.

"I bought all this food over thinking the possibility of princess Mingyui coming, and. I'm glad this food won't be wasted." Fang Laowang chuckled at the end of his sentence.

Xiao Mingyui helped Fang Laowang arrange the food, then replied, "Thank you very much, young Master Fang. But I was still quite full, before leaving here I had eaten at Xiao Wangfu."

Fang Laowang looked a little disappointed, yet he nodded in understanding and smiled back.

Fang Laowang stood up, then took out the other items he had brought out using the large box. It was a spear, a spear to fish.

"Today I intend to fish fresh fish directly in this forest river, I have heard stories about the taste. Very sweet and savory," Fang Laowang said happily.

Han Silue shook her head slowly with a smile. "No need, Laowang. I'm worried that there's a wild snake in the river, we're still-"

"No need to worry, ma'am. I'm used to it" Fang Laowang replied cutting his mother's sentence confidently.

That morning Han Silue and Fang Laowang ate together, whereas Xiao Mingyui only chose to eat a light snack. The woman had actually eaten at Xiao Wangfu before leaving. As soon as their meal was over, Fang Laowang stood up again and said, "I'll head for the river now, the fish will be eaten for lunch!"

"The air is still quite cold, Mr. Fang," Xiao Mingyui said.

Fang Laowang nodded, then he replied while lifting his spear and bucket out. "I know, your highness. No problem, just trust me."

Han Silue laughed again as she shook her head slowly looking at her son's behavior. While Xiao Mingyui personally cleaned up their tableware with Bingbing.

When it was quite noon, Fang Laowang returned home and found no one. There was only Bingbing in the living room wiping the table.

"Where are the noble and the Furen?" ask Fang Laowang.

Bingbing regained her senses, quickly standing up and bowing. "His majesty is in the kitchen and Furen is resting in his room."

Fang Laowang frowned. "Kitchen?"

Bingbing nodded. "The noble took the initiative to make condiments for the fish that Young Master Fang would catch."

Fang Laowang who heard this was stunned, then walked quickly towards the kitchen. When he arrived, he was stunned again by seeing Xiao Mingyui chopping onions and preparing other herbs in the kitchen.

Xiao Mingyui's current appearance was extremely beautiful according to Fang Laowang. Xiao Mingyui's hair was perfectly knotted, no hair was draped like a married senior woman. Then his hanfu was slightly tied up more to make it easier to step in the kitchen. Their current appearance was like a husband who had just returned home from work and brought food while Xiao Mingyui was a wife who was busy taking care of the house and was ready to welcome his return. That silly delusion yesterday reappeared, making Fang Laowang shake his head slowly.

Fang Laowang placed a bucket full of fish on the wooden floor, then said, "Your highness, it's better that you rest and-"

"It's no problem, young Master Fang. I'm used to doing small jobs like this, my late mother loved to cook in the kitchen for my late father. After all, I did this willingly," Xiao Mingyui cut off, leaving Fang Laowang speechless for quite a while yet finally smiling back.

Fang Laowang walked towards Xiao Mingyui, then noticed the woman's activities. "Can I help you?"

Xiao Mingyui nodded, then turned his head and asked, "How many fish have you caught?" Their distance was quite close, yet Xiao Mingyui was unaware of it.

Fang Laowang glanced at the bucket again, then replied, "Only six."

Xiao Mingyui nodded again. "No problem, then we'll cook some fish soup this afternoon and grilled fish tonight. How's it?"

Fang Laowang's face looked bright. "I agree."

"Please clean up the three fish that we will be processing at this time, young Master Fang," Xiao Mingyui said.

Fang Laowang again walked towards his bucket to pick up three fish, then carried them towards the cleaning place. The man cleaned the fish very skillfully, as if experienced in.

That afternoon, Fang Laowang and Xiao Mingyui were busy in the kitchen cooking together. But aside from being busy helping Xiao Mingyui, Fang Laowang was also busy brushing off the 'household' delusion from his mind.
