Chapter 43 Rennia's guilt

Rennia felt something strange in her heart and she tried to avoid communicating with Raven because there was fear and discomfort.

Raven just stared at Rennia from a distance away, she knew Rennia did not like violence but she had no other choice, for her she was used to killing someone.

Holo approaches Raven after directing her men to clean up the corpse2 earlier and leaves no trace behind.

"What about the man you arrested yesterday?" holo's question broke Raven's daydream.

"He was in a dense forest, whether alive or dead depending on his fate," said Raven who was still at home looking at Rennia who cleaned Ronald's face.

Holo understood where Raven's eyes were, she patted Raven's shoulders slowly.

"He's probably just a little bit in shock" Holo said.

"Hmm it's up to him, I'm not forcing himself to accept myself" Raven replied with a sad face.

Holo invites Raven to go home with her, but Raven refuses she doesn't want to make Rennia feel any more uncomfortable with her presence.

Holo turns towards her car, Rennia had looked at Raven but Raven had entered Holo's men's car, she asked to be sent directly to her home.

Raven knows tonight for sure, Rennia and Ronald spend the night at Holo's house. Raven did not want to make the atmosphere very awkward between her and Rennia.

"Sister, Raven didn't come with us?" rennia asked after getting into the car and saw that the car Raven was riding in had left the place.

"No, she went straight to her house" Holo said with a serious face typical of her.

Rennia nodded, she stared at the car Raven was riding in, no longer looking at her shadows. His heart went awry at the same time he felt relieved.

"Don't blame Raven, he has to kill them because they'll hurt us in the future if they miss, '" said Ronald, who had noticed Rennia's actions.

"Raven was injured, the man had stabbed his left thigh huhh lucky Daddy is okay. But Raven must have felt sick let alone have to clean his own wound," Ronald continued deliberately to lure to Raven's concerns.

"Huhuh?" Rennia is shocked to hear Ronald's remark, she is unaware that Raven is injured. Maybe because his focus was only on Ronald.

Rennia's face began to turn worried and panicked. I don't know why the guilt is getting bigger. Along the way Rennia squeezed the ends of her clothes.

"Dad.." call Rennia softly.

"Tomorrow, so do not sell expensive," replied Ronald with a satirical tone.

Ronald knew what Rennia wanted to talk about. But he deliberately rejects her so that Rennia can introspect her not to blame Raven just because Raven has killed.

"Daddy," said Rennia, slowly hitting Ronald's arm.

Holo just smiles, she tries to make a message to Raven to come to her house because Ronald has made Rennia have to feel worried.

'ting!' holo notification sounds.

Holo did not reply to Raven's message, instead she smiled faintly.

"His revenge is settled for sure after this he will stop being a hit man huhh, meaning I have to find someone to replace his position" Holo murmured in her heart.

Despite the heavy feeling of letting go of Raven because Raven is one of his very professional men and Holo has considered him like a family. But he couldn't force Raven to continue with him.

Holo gazed into the streets outside, still remembering how she met Raven at the time, a face that looked bruised from being beaten by the authorities, eyes swollen from crying over her late parents.

It takes a month for Holo to take care of Raven so that Raven can get back to herself and create a mission for herself. His vows and promises to his parents were fulfilled.

Holo also hopes that after this Raven will become a good man for his wife and children. Rarely were his men who he felt this familiar with himself only Raven.

Ronald was given another guest room for him to rest. Before that Erika invites them to eat together because they must be tired they make them hungry again especially Ronald who had not filled his stomach since noon.

"Loh, Raven didn't come back here?" ask Erika to Holo.

"Say she'll come" Holo replied whispering in Erika's ear.

"We ate new istirehat ok," cried Erika.

They all followed Erika and Holo's steps towards the dining room. Rennia felt uninspired, she regretted having ignored Raven earlier.

After sitting at the dining table, Erika deliberately placed the empty plate next to Rennia and smiled faintly.

Erika tries to tease Rennia.

"Ren, hasn't Raven eaten since lunch?" ask Erika.

Rennia scratched her non-itchy nape, she was at a loss to answer what.

"Ehmm, yes, she just went straight home" replied Rennia.

"Oh so yes, kasian he will definitely hold hunger again until tomorrow morning huhh there are still 3 hours again at 6 am," said Erika.

"Ehm it's okay anyway he's an adult anyway, can find his own food even if injured. Let's eat" continued Erika again.

Rennia's hunger disappeared, given Raven's state of being injured and she was trying to avoid interacting with Raven.

"Huuuhhh," Rennia let out a long sigh.

The eating ritual was started almost 10 minutes ago. Suddenly the chair next to Rennia was pulled and a familiar voice filled the dining room.

"Sorry too late" said Raven and sat next to Rennia.

The others nodded and smiled thinly except for Rennia who turned her head to look at Raven with a slightly shocked look.

Raven initially ignored Rennia staring at him, she stuffed rice and side dishes into her plate.

"Eat, my face is not filling" said Raven began to feed rice into Rennia's mouth.

Rennia opened her mouth and accepted a bribe from Raven like it was hypnotized with Raven's handsome face.

"Ren, chew it up quickly." Said Raven again breaking Rennia's daydream.

Rennia nodded then chewed the food in her mouth and finished the food on her plate until the toilet was not left.

Raven extended a glass of water to Rennia and accepted Rennia with a smile on her face.

After finishing the meal, Rennia helped Erika clean the dishes that had been used.

The men moved towards the middle room of the house.

"I just found out you're hurt, have you been medicated?" holo asked Raven who seemed to be leaning against the soft sofa in the living room.

"It was a little late" replied Raven.

"Rav, thank you if it wasn't for you, something would have happened to Rennia." Ronald.

"I promised to look after Mr. Ronald" Raven said with a smile.

"We're waiting for your wedding date" Ronald said.

Raven patted and smiled as she was about to propose to Rennia next week, she had already prepared everything from the beginning without Rennia's knowledge.

Holo said goodbye to return to rest because the clock has shown almost 5 am. His eyes were heavy as well as Ronald's.

Now in the living room Raven was alone waiting for Rennia. He opened his tab and checked his work to relieve drowsiness.

Being engrossed in focus, suddenly Rennia came and picked up the tab that Raven was holding.

"We sleep yuk" asked Rennia.

Raven nodded and followed Rennia's steps into the room reserved for them.
