Chapter 70
Vernon Tate breathed a sigh of relief. He judged Levi mockingly. "So, your friend is unemployed, Chloe? I have a security guard position at my company. I'll offer him six grand a month because he's your friend. His physique is suitable for the job. What say?"
Levi ignored. He apologized to Chloe. "I'm sorry I interrupted your blind date."
Chloe shook her head. "It's okay. Did something happen?"
"I bought a house for my uncle and aunt. So I'm coming to you" Levi said.
"Oh. So. I didn't know any uncles and aunts were looking for a home? Hehe..."
Vernon and Larry sneered. A home? I think Levi can best afford the smallest apartment in town. A place above two million is impossible in his case.
From Theodore and Suzy's point of view, they thought Levi was looking for Chloe because she wanted a special offer. Chloe is a manager, so she has the authority to give special discounts. There are many people who are looking to buy a house in recent years for this reason alone. Those guys can save up to several hundred thousand times because of Chloe. Levi must be here for a special offer.
"I understand now. You're not satisfied with just Bayview Garden, I guess?" Chloe is an experienced sales agent. He knew Levi's intentions after listening to him. He's looking for a villa. Otherwise, he could directly buy a house at Bayview Garden Real Estate Agency.
"Yes." Yeah." Levi nodded.
"I have several properties that may be of interest to you. I'll take you to our company now." Chloe then turned to look at the people sitting around the table. "Uncle Larry, aunt, I'll be right back. I have to deal with this now."
Larry got up from his seat and suggested with a smile. "Why don't we accompany you? We can see your work place too. What say?"
"Let us join you, Chloe." Vernon sounded excited. Then he looked at Levi cynically.
Chloe did not immediately agree to their request. Instead, he turned to look at Levi as a gesture to ask for his opinion.
Levi nodded. "certain. Let's go together."
"alright. Then we'll go together."
He said nonchalantly with the receipt in his hand. "Eats for six people that cost less than five thousand. It's cheap."
Theodore added cheerfully. "You have to have fancy food even on a typical day to think of this as cheap food, Vernon."
Vernon glanced at Levi before he replied. "Indeed. I spend at least two thousand on each meal because of my work."
Chloe's parents can't possibly like Vernon.
Chloe said to Levi as they arrived at the underground parking lot. "I'll pick you up there."
"OKAY. Doesn't matter. You know the purpose."
In the end, Chloe picks up her parents and Levi, while Vernon takes her parents as they head for their destination.
They were almost in the suburbs after driving continuously for more than an hour.
Vernon and his father scoffed. "We're almost on the outskirts of town now. I'm afraid he'll buy a house in the village."
Vernon's mother added. "He should have considered himself lucky to be able to buy a house."
But half an hour later, Chloe's car stopped in front of an area of the villa.
"Why are we here, Chloe? I thought your friend was gonna buy a house?" Vernon asked curiously after getting out of his car.
Chloe looked at him in wonder. "We're here to buy a villa!"
Silence filled the air after Chloe's explanation.
