The Revenge of the Actor

The Revenge of the Actor
Sleeping Flower

"No!" Clarissa awoke from her dream. The woman's breath was hunting as the nightmare approached. Again and again, the dream was disturbing every night. I don't know how many times young Miss Smith has dreamed about the same thing.

"Miss! Miss Clarissa, are you okay?" Isma slightly raised the tone of voice while knocking on the bathroom door quite tight.

As he delivers warm matcha to Clarissa's room, he overhears a screaming sound from inside the bathroom. Worried that something bad happened to her employer, the woman decided to bang on the door to make sure Clarissa was okay.

The sound of the door slamming loud enough to bring back the life of Clarissa who had floated for a while. He circled his eyes around, apparently the owner of almond eyes had just fallen asleep while he was soaking in the bath tub.

Clarissa's hand touched her heart that was beating faster than usual. It was so tight as if he wanted to get out of place. "Oh my God, why does that dream keep coming to haunt me? I was really tormented every time I had the same dream" he lamented. The woman's face looked pale.

"Miss Clarissa! Miss!" A pitched voice full of anxiety was still heard across there. Isma is still faithfully waiting for Clarissa's answer.

Breathe in a deep breath while closing your eyes for a moment. Clarissa tried to catch her breath and calm herself down. After he calmed down, he opened his voice.

"Isma, I'm fine. You don't have to worry about me!" exclaim that woman. The tone of voice was deliberately elevated for the person across there to hear.

Hearing the cry from inside the bathroom, Isma let out a long sigh. Relieved that Clarissa was doing well.

Then the servant said again. "Should I help you get out of the bathroom? If so, then I'll find a spare key stored in the kitchen drawer."

"No need, Isma! I can get out on my own without your help. Already, you better leave my room soon!"

Without much refutation, Isma replied. "Good, Miss." The waiter withdrew from the room. Do homework that is delayed.

Not long after, Clarissa was already wearing short sleeping pajamas with a Flamingo motif. The chest has one pocket that can be used to put anything.

Sitting on a single sofa facing out the window. A straight-forward look of the eyes, noticing the splendid glitter of the vehicle's lights from the seventh floor. He took a slow sip of the warm matcha that Isma had made. Enjoy any warm liquid that goes into the throat.

The sound of a loud cell phone, making Clarissa distracted. Then, he reached out his hand to grab the mobile phone that was on the round table made of glass.

"Hello, Cla. How was your first day working for a new company, was it so much fun?"

Clarissa smiled broadly when she heard the sweet voice of her best friend. Although now he and Dahlia are quite far apart, but the friendship between them is still well established. Moreover, soon the beautiful woman across there will be her brother-in-law then their relationship is getting closer. Not just as a friend but as a brother-in-law.

"Nothing specials. Everything is mediocre" he answered briefly. "You know, Li, my boss is the type of boss who wants everything done right then and there. He doesn't want all employees to put off work."

"Luckily I've been trained to do things quickly so that I can follow the rhythm of my boss's work." Chuckled softly when remembering the incident earlier this afternoon. When Ibrahim had doubted his ability and how surprised the man was when he saw the file containing a report of the results of the meeting that he promised to be completed within an hour.

Across the street, Dahlia is getting curious. Then, he changed the phone call mode to video call. Wife-to-be from Devan Smith so missed the moment when the two could tell stories while laughing together.

"Tell me, whatever happened to you today! If there's nothing special, then why are you chuckling." Squeezing eyes full of search while watching the face of his best friend.

Clarissa put an empty cup on the table, then leaned her back against the back of the soft sofa in the main room. "There was a funny incident at the office. My boss' personal assistant, she seemed hesitant as I said I would finish the report of the meeting this afternoon with some company employees. He thought I was an amateur secretary who couldn't type with ten fingers."

If they used to be able to gossip with friends at any time, now they can only chat over the phone at night, because both are preoccupied by their respective work.

Clarissa snorted in annoyance. "Of course not! What am I doing that for! Just wasting my time!"

"If not, then what are you doing, Cla? Come on, don't make me curious."

Clarissa took a deep breath, then exhaled slowly. "I just gave her a sweet smile. Then, immediately do what my Boss asks. And ... when I submitted the report, the man looked so shocked at what was on the table. The eyes of my coworkers seemed to be rolling in front of my high heels because I did not think that I could make a report within an hour."

Suddenly, Dahlia laughed at Clarissa's words. Some people may have heard the story crisp, but not for Devan's lover. His stomach was amused as if millions of invisible hands were tickling him.

"Gosh, Cla. I can imagine how your colleague's face and eyeballs are. He must be like a corpse because his face was so pale. Right, my guess?" Clarissa nodded her head in response.

"It seems he doesn't know who you really are. Clarissa Dianti Jenia. There's just one." Shaking his head while grinning like a fool.

There was silence for a moment. The two beautiful women seemed to be busy with their own thoughts.

"Li, while I was soaking in warm water, accidentally fell asleep. Then I dream the same thing. I ... saw the woman again in my dream," said Clarissa Lirih. He bit his lower lip and the fur of his horse stood up. The dream was so scary that it made it difficult to close your eyes again.

The position of Dahlia who was originally lying on her soft bed immediately sat up straight while indeed a serious face. He said softly, "So, you dream of that evil woman again?" Clarissa nodded her head in response.

Sighing in rough breath. The face that was originally radiant because the two corners of the lips were pulled upwards now turned sad. Dahlia's heart was also slashed when she heard the story of her best friend.

Even if you know if someone has a bad dream, you should not tell anyone. However, he could not bear it if Clarissa shouldered the suffering alone. He forces Clarissa to tell him her dream, hoping to ease her suffering a little.

"That's it, Cla, don't you think about it again. Consider it a sleeping flower. Most importantly, you focus on your initial goal of coming to Jakarta. Make yourself look great, so attractive that your boss falls for you. After that, then you go through with your plan."

"Report your revenge on those who hurt you. Don't let them live happily on top of your suffering all this time" Dahlia said.

Clarissa fell silent, digesting every sentence Dahlia said. Those words are true. He cannot be afraid of his revenge mission.

"Well, I won't think about that nightmare anymore. Li, thank you so much for being my confiding friend. I'm so lucky to have a best friend and a sister-in-law like you" Clarissa said. The words came from the bottom of his heart.

Dahlia smiled sweetly as she replied, "Nope! It has been my job as your best friend. Clarissa, spirit!" Clenching one right hand in front of his best friend, giving the woman encouragement.
