The Story of Aira

The Story of Aira
31

Aditya and Princess are enjoying the holidays. For them the most memorable thing was being able to spend time with Aira.

"Next time we meet again." The princess still faithfully clasped Aira's hand.

"Em." Aira nodded.

"Take care of yourself, Ra." said Aditya.

"You too." reply Aira. "Don't forget, just give me a funny touch like me" he said.

"Just pray for ya." The princess smiled as she looked at her husband.

Aira smiled happily letting go of them. Two lovely lovebirds and attention to him.

"May we be together again soon." inner Aira while waving to Aditya and the Princess.

On the way home, his cell phone rang. Wife called.

"Ra, please answer yes." said the captain.

"Yes." Yeah."

"Loudspeaker, Ra."

"Good." Aira obeyed all the orders of her father.

"Yes, bude. It's another trip home" Aira said.

"Yes, bude just wait at home."

"What's up, ma'am?" pakde looks very curious.

"Later, sir."

Then the phone was turned off after Bude said his greetings.

"Your meeting is a habit" Pakde said.

"And Pakde's wife." reply Aira. Pakde and Aira both laughed.

Arriving at home, they saw a matic motorbike parked in the yard. It was Joseph's wife's motor.

"Bak came sira" said Aira.

Apparently, Rina's arrival was not an ordinary visit. She was complaining about her husband's actions.

"Are you not wrong, Rin?" ask pakde.

"Sir, I saw it for myself. Mas Yusuf even rented a house for the woman..." Rina complained about everything while crying. Aira rubbed her back, trying to give strength.

"If you don't believe me, I can take you there" he said later.

"You're here. Let your own father go there. Say where?"

After getting the full address from Rina. Pakde also left. Aira also paid a farewell to Bude and Rina.

......................

In the midst of the Aira family's casual chat, the grandmother discussed Joseph's household matters. It made Aira interested. Not about the problem, but about something that is still related.

"It's not that before marriage they count as well huh, cake?... It shouldn't happen something like this" Aira said.

"Not all marriages end happily." replied grandfather. "It could be that God is outlining their soul mate just up here" he added.

"Does that mean Grandpa's calculations are wrong...?" ask Aira again.

Everyone looked at Aira. Including his mother who was folding clothes.

"Aira, don't start!" scold his mother.

"Mom, I was just asking. Is that wrong?" reply Aira.

"It's late, as good as you sleep!" father's word.

"Yes, dad." Aira was obedient, she moved from the room to her room.

Every day, mothers talk about Joseph and Rina. They even heard that the two had arranged for divorce.

"Yes, Ra, are they in the process of getting divorced?" ask a mother.

"Sorry, bulek. Don't know. Excuse me." said Aira.

"Yes his brother doesn't know?!" the other insinuation.

Aira took a deep breath, then immediately left the shop.

"Can't they stop talking about other people's disgrace?" Aira kept grumbling. "If his family were digosipin would not accept it either."

"What the hell...?" sahut.

"The mothers in the store, instead of going home to cook quickly, even huddled" said Aira.

"What a difference with you, instead of quickly helping mother even nagging continues." said his mother.

"I'm just confiding." Aira.

"It could be ngeles."

Aira actually already knew, if what the people were talking about was true. But he chose to be quiet, because it was not something worth heralding.

......................

That night Aira heard the conversation between her father and grandfather.

"They wanted to come to propose to Aira, sir."

"When?"

"In this week he said. What do you think, father?"

"Did your son agree?"

"He'd better agree. It's not like this is the best way to stop him thinking about the guy."

"Are they still in touch?"

"Either, sir. But I could feel, she was still expecting the man."

Suddenly the clear and warm liquid dripped, Aira sat down quietly behind the door of her room barefooted.

"Do I really have no right to my life? Why are they so cruel...?! Ryaaaan.., help me...!!! I need you...!!"

Aira sobbed without a sound, her chest felt so sore. So tired he cried for his fate, his eyes fell asleep. He was asleep on the cold ground.

Aira opened the door of her room, then went to the back towards the bathroom. He just passed by without caring about the greetings of his grandmother and mother who were busy in the kitchen.

It was time for breakfast, Dad said something he heard last night.

"Arlan and her parents will come, she intends to propose to you" said the father without the slightest hesitation.

"How, Aira?" ask grandpa.

"As much as you guys." answered flatly. Without any expression.

"Whatever means yes." break up dad.

"Dad...!!" sahut mom slow, but full of emphasis.

"I don't mind mom. Excuse me." Aira got out of her chair, and went to her room.

......................

Arlan is the son of a distant family grandfather. He just got home from overseas. While visiting grandfather's house, he sees Aira and is fascinated at first sight. Arlan seemed to be in disbelief at first, if the woman who served tea at that time was Aira. Because the woman who was once very thin and unkempt, turned into beautiful and graceful.

Without demanding much conditions, Aira agreed to the proposal. Even in the depths of his heart, there is still Ryan.

"What are you thinking, Aira?" ask Arlan.

"Nothing, mas." replied Aira.

"If you have something to say, just say it!" Arlan. "I don't want anything awkward in our relationship."

"Mas Arlan can stop for a second?" ask Aira later.

They are on the road now. They're on their way home after fitting a wedding dress. At Aira's request, Arlan pulls out of the car.

"So what?" ask Arlan.

"Before we get married, I want to get everything done" Aira said.

"What?" Arlan was getting curious.

"Before Arlan, I was actually in a relationship with someone" said Aira honestly. "But my family doesn't approve of us. By reason of calculations that do not find a suitable point."

"You're still in touch?" ask Arlan.

Aira shook her head.

"No communication, because I don't have HP."

"Who is he? Do I know him?" ask Arlan again.

"No, mas." replied Aira.

Then Aira told me all about Ryan.

"Sorry, ma'am." Aira.

She was well aware that what she said would offend Arlan, her future husband. But Aira had no choice but to be honest.

"I'll take you to meet him. Finish everything!" break up Arlan with a calm tone, but very firm.

"Yes..." Aira surprised.

"I told you, I don't want anything to interfere with our relationship going forward" he said flatly.

Aira has been quiet ever since. Until they arrived in front of the courtyard of Aira's house which was fenced in wood. The one where the small shop stood was also there.

"Duuuh..., prospective interlocutors ya.." exclaimed a mother who was snacking at the stall.

Arlan, who was carrying several plastic bags bearing the name of the store he was visiting, seemed to bow his head slightly in honor of those who greeted.

"Just go in, son. Mom's hands are dirty." said the mother as the two lovebirds were about to crucify her.

"I can't be long, I have to go home soon. Tomorrow I'll ask your parents for permission." he said.

Aira, who had just lowered her head, immediately raised her head and looked at Arlan.

"Don't worry, I'll arrange everything. You take it easy." Arlan promised.

"Eh, Arlan. Login..., come in...!" said the father who just came out. "Why do you whisper outside...?"

"I can't take long, sir. There's a little more business." he replied.

"Oh, okay. Be careful..."

Then Arlan said goodbye to Aira and her father.

"Aira...?" call dad.

"Yes, dad." he replied.

"You're really serious about your decision?" ask dad.

"Yes, dad." she replied. "Dad doesn't have to worry about me" he said later.

"May happiness always be with you, son." I kissed Aira on the forehead.

Aira could feel such great and sincere affection from her father's kiss. Until Aira's eyes glazed over.

"Why?" ask your father when he finds out his daughter is crying.

"I'm happy when I see you happy" she replied.

"Dad too." he said. "Clean yourself, then take a break." Dad said.

"Good, dad."

......................

"Just live it, Aira...! No need to complain too much. Because complaining is free, there is no place anymore.

Like that sudden pinprick coming, it was truly unexpected. But I can't refuse. Because my family was expecting that. According to the parents, they met well.

Ok?!...

Good from where?!...

Even from the beginning I felt this was not good for me. Can't they see it?...

And if Arlan really took me to meet Ryan, would that guarantee me a better situation?...

Or even more sincere with my marriage with mas Arlan?!...

Oh Allah, my heart is very worried. I beg you for help...!!"
