Ch. 1 [Yu Bai]

"Bai 'er! Let's go to lunch!"

A 10-year-old boy looked at the middle-aged woman who called out to him.

"I'll go first."

"Hey! Don't leave! Let's continue."

"Are you afraid of losing?"

"Bai, finish first you come home."

He smiled kindly at the protection of his friends. "Let me come back."

He immediately turned around and left his friends complaining about how submissive he was.

Yu Bai was his name. A handsome and dashing young man with short black hair and clear dark brown eyes. Yu Bai came from an incapable family, but he was a very friendly and kind person. Yu Bai's family was famous in this village because his kindness and hospitality made Yu Bai famous.

"Yu Bai, don't run like that. You'll be sick."

Yu Bai smiled slightly hearing that. "Let's just calm Mom. I'm pretty healthy today."

The disadvantage of Yu Bai was, he was a person who was often sick.

This sometimes makes his father and mother feel worried about his health. Every change of season Yu Bai always live his day in his bed just by sleeping.

His family was just a small family, so Yu Bai could not check himself into the doctor every time he was sick. Yu Bai only relied on the medicines his father gave him every time he came home from the forest.

Yu Xia, Yu Bai's mother stroked Yu Bai's head. "Let's go in, after the new meal you can play again."

Yu Bai nodded. "By the way where is Yu Nie?"

"Your sister? He was currently playing with the village chief's son."

Yu Nie, Yu Bai's younger sister. Their age was only four, which meant that Yu Nie was six.

Unlike Yu Bai, Yu Nie was a very strong woman. She was a brave girl and always protected girls of her age. Several times Yu Nie beat up the boy who was intending to disturb Yu Bai.

It looks like Yu Nie is not like girls in general, but this trait is what makes the girls in his village like Yu Nie.

Not only the girls, but the men also liked Yu Nie a lot. Many sent applications to his home, but all applications were subtly rejected by his father.

Her sister is very beautiful. Very soft dark brown hair, her white jade-like skin, her red lips ran red, and not to mention the clear honey-brown eyes could sedate anyone.

Although she was only six years old, Yu Nie's beauty was already visible. All because her mother is beautiful.

"Here, eat a lot."

Yu Xia gave a tray towards Yu Bai.

"Mom, did you buy fish?"

"No, it's a gift from Aunt Xue."

Yu Bai nodded. "Have you eaten?"

Yu Xia was silent. Yua Bai looked at his mother. She doesn't like to hear voices that make her angry.

"Mommy, I told you that you're hungry to eat. I'm fine with just lunch. Let me guess, you haven't eaten in the morning, have you?"

Yu Xia was silent again. Sometimes he forgets that his son is a smart and intelligent child. If only he had a lot of money he would have sent Yu Bai to school and made Yu Bai a scholar.

Yu Bai immediately stood up, then he walked towards the kitchen and picked up his mother's bowl. Yu Bai returned to his place.

"Mother must eat. I'm sick enough."

Yu Bai said as he moved half his rice into his mother's bowl. He also split the fish in half after which he gave it to his mother's bowl.

"Bai'er, I'm not hungry."

"Mother, did you pretend you didn't hear or what?"

Yu Xia was silent again.

"Now, let's sit down and eat."

Yu Bai gave her mother a bowl. He waited for his mother to take the bowl in his hand. His mother only sighed in resignation, Yu Xia took the bowl then sat down before Yu Bai.

Yu Bai smiled. He continued eating as if nothing had happened. Although the portion of the meal is only half but for him this is filling for him.

Yu Xia also started eating. They both ate in silence. Until someone finally interrupted their eating.

"Mother! Brother! Nieni's home!"

"Oh Nie'er, you're home. I thought you were going home in the afternoon."

Yu Nie approached her mother. "Of course not mom. Oh yea! Big brother Bai, I brought sweets!"

Yu Bai who heard it only smiled. Then he continued eating as if unperturbed by Yu Nie's arrival.

"Mother, where's dad?"

Yu Nie asked her mother. He went to play from the morning, so he wondered where his father was.

"Your father helped Uncle Wei to find fish in the sea."

"When are you going home?"

Yu Nie asked her mother. His mother stroked Yu Nie's head gently. "Maybe this afternoon. Is Nie'er hungry?"

"Yes! So hungry!" Nie spoke with passion.

Yu Xia chuckled. He immediately got up to his feet and walked towards the kitchen to get Yu Nie some food.

Yu Nie looked at Yu Bai with excitement.

"Sister Bai, Brother Bai, you know?"

Yu Bai who had just finished eating raised his eyebrows. "You just got home, and you suddenly asked 'you know?'. "

Yu Nie laughed hearing that. "I want you to guess."

"Let me guess. Nie'er's making trouble again."

Yu Nie who heard it became pouting. "Do you think I'm a troublemaker's son?"

Yu Bai was seen putting on a thinking pose, this made Yu Nie even more sullen.

"Yes and no."

"Sister Bai!"

Yu Bai laughed.

"I don't want to be friends with Brother Bai anymore!"

'He sulked' Yu Bai thought.

"Nie'er, don't say that."

Yu Xia reprimanded Yu Nie. "Bai'er didn't mean to make fun of you."

Yu Bai nodded in agreement. He stood up to clean his eating place.

"But Brother Bai sucks!"

Yu Bai laughed hearing that. "Mom, I'm playing."

Yu Xia nodded. Unlike Yu Nie who was getting annoyed.

"Sister Bai! Don't run away!"

"I didn't run. By the way I'm running from what?"

"Sister Bai!"

Yu Nie immediately stood up, intending to approach Yu Bai. Yu Bai who already knew what Yu Nie was going to do immediately ran away from her house.

He laughed wryly when he heard the annoyed grunts of his sister. Yu Bai often made her sister upset because when Yu Nie got angry her face would be even more cute.

Yu Bai is a loving sister. Even when Yu Nie was a baby Yu Bai happily took care of Yu Nie because her mother was still weak at that time.

His father, Yu Sha, did not understand anything about caring for a baby. So it was Yu Bai who took over the task of taking care of Yu Nie.

It was clear that there was a very strong bond between the two of them. Even when Yu Bai fell ill, Yu Nie was also sick although not as bad as Yu Bai, but Yu Nie got the impact as well.

"Yu Bai! Is lunch finished?"

"Yu Bai, you've been a long time."

"Yu Bai! Yu Bai's! I will beat you today!"

Yu Bai saw that his friends were still faithfully waiting for him. He smiled happily.

"All right, let's move on. This time I won!"
