Chapter 11: The Ancient Temple Secrets

Ardi, Valen, and Aria stepped out of the ancient temple with hearts pounding. Even though the battle had ended, their curiosity was growing. Inside this mysterious temple, what secrets were actually hidden?

They continued their journey through the forbidden forest, with a more alert look and enhanced vigilance. Each of their steps lead them into the deeper depths of the forest, where darkness and silence seem to become even more gripping.

Suddenly, they arrived at an open area in the middle of the forest. In the center of the area, there was a huge altar stone surrounded by strange marks engraved on the ground. They felt that there was something very special about this place.

Valen felt a strange urge in his heart. "There's something that tells me that this isn't just any place. There may be a clue here about the lost adventurers."

Ardi and Aria nodded in agreement. They begin to investigate strange signs on the ground, trying to decipher the meaning behind the symbols. However, the more they noticed, the more complicated and mysterious the signs were.

"Is this some form of magic or an ancient message?" ask Aria.

Valen pondered for a moment. "That's possible. Or maybe someone is pointing us in the wrong direction. We need to find out more."

As they attempt to unravel the mystery of the signs, suddenly the ground beneath them shakes. A secret door appeared under the stone altar, opening a path into the underground. They felt an urge to enter, as if something was pulling them inside.

"With this risk, I think we should go in and find out what's inside" Ardi said.

They descended through the secret door and entered into the dark basement. The soft light from the candles attached to the wall illuminated their path. They stepped slowly, observing around with vigilance.

As it turned out, this underground room was a vast library space. The shelves were full of ancient books and rolls of parchment scrolls filled every corner. Ardi, Valen, and Aria were astonished by the wealth of knowledge contained within this room.

They began to investigate the books and parchments, looking for clues about the lost adventurers. But the more they searched, the more clearly it became apparent that this was not just an ordinary library.

Valen found a book that caught his eye. "This seems to speak of the history of this isekai world, including of the existence of legendary kingdoms and creatures."

Ardi nodded. "There are also writings about the secret of power and the key to uncovering true potential."

They sat down and started reading.

As they continued to read and ponder the contents of the parchment scroll, there was suddenly the sound of footsteps approaching from the corridor within the library. They turned and saw a woman emerge from the darkness, wearing a robe with ancient symbols known to Ardi.

The woman smiled in a friendly manner. "Welcome, adventurers. I am Elyra, guardian of knowledge and protector of this temple."

Aria looked at the woman in surprise. "You are the guardian of this temple? But why did you hide and not tell us before?"

Elyra smiled gently. "We saw your goodwill and determination in finding out this secret. We want to make sure that you are the real heroes before we speak. You guys made it through the first exam."

Valen was alert. "First test? Whatchu mean?"

Elyra explained, "You are part of the adventurers who were chosen to uncover the secrets of this temple and restore the balance of the isekai world. Lost adventurers are important pawns in the face of the greater threat to come."

Ardi nodded in understanding. "We are ready to face these dangers and challenges. But what is really inside this temple? And how do the lost adventurers relate to all this?"

Elyra replied, "This temple is a place of guarding a legendary force that can change the fate of the isekai world. This power had been sealed for thousands of years to prevent it from falling into the wrong hands. The lost adventurers are the inheritors of this potential, and their job is to understand this power and protect it."

Aria understands. "So they disappeared because they're figuring out about this power?"

Elyra nodded. "Exactly. This power can be a boon or a catastrophe depending on the way it is used. You must understand this secret carefully and wisely."

Valen asked, "What is really inside this temple?"

Elyra smiled mysteriously. "Only those who are truly prepared can uncover this secret. You will have to undergo tougher tests to prove your ability and determination. But you have the potential to succeed."
