Edo Condition

When I look at myself in the mirror, I don't recognize myself. The whole side of my face was covered in dried blood. The bandage applied by the nurse had been soaked in blood. I pulled a sheet of tissue to wipe some of the blood off my face. While wiping I found myself wishing everything was okay.

A few minutes later, there was a knock on the bathroom door. I was sitting on the floor sticking my body against the wall with my eyes closed. I didn't answer. When the door opened wide, I looked up. Turns out one of the nurses.

"We still have to sew your wounds." The nurse said.

He extended his hand. I greeted him and he pulled me up. I followed the nurse walking down the hospital hallway until I walked into the check room and I lay down on the table.

"Your friend says you're nauseous. Most likely you have a concussion, stay lying down we'll treat your wound."

After my wound was sewn and the nurse gave instructions on how to handle the concussion I was experiencing, I was told to go to the nurse's room to fill in the files.

"Fill this form and leave it to me." Nurse.

"Good."

I took the form and went back to the waiting room.

"How's Res?" My toot.

Resa just shook her head, we were here for almost an hour. I sat down next to Resa. Just after my butt landed on the chair, a man appeared wearing a white lab coat appeared from the corner and walked towards us, followed by a sickly looking aunt sonya. I jumped up.

"Edo!" Shouted aunt Sonya."Where's she? Where's Resa? Is Edo hurt?"

Resa was silent, I walked up to Aunt Sonya and wrapped my arms around her, after which I turned to the doctor for an answer because I didn't have one. Aunt Sonya broke out of my arms and went to the nurse's room not far from there, Resa followed her aunt Sonya and left me.

The doctor started walking away, so I ran after him and blocked his steps in the hallway.

"What about Edo? Is she okay? I haven't heard anything. Is he in the operating room?"

The doctor looked at me with a look of pity.

"Sorry I can't tell you now. I will do everything I can to find the answer and get back to you as soon as possible." Then he hurried away.

They won't tell me anything! Not a bit, I leaned against the wall of the hallway, then my body slumped to the floor. I bent my knees up and piled my elbows on them, burying my face in the palm of my hand.

"Nad!"

I'm looking. Resa was lowering her gaze to me. Kuraih hands Resa and pulls her to sit on the floor with me, then hugs her with one hand. Resa hugged me back.

"Gua doesn't know Res, how Edo is doing now."

Kupeluk Resa. No matter how much I wanted to scream, no matter how much I wanted to cry, it felt like the world around me was collapsing.

"Res."

I looked up to Resa too. Aunt Sonya stood looming before me. Me and Resa stood up.

"The village how is Edo?" Ask aunt Sonya.

"We don't know Edo's aunt yet, the doctor hasn't told us anything." Answer Resa.

While I was just speechless looking at the face of Aunt Sonya who was worried about the situation of her son. I know very well a mother's anxiety about her child. I tried to grab Aunt Sonya's hand trying to calm her down even though I was just as worried about Edo's situation.

"Tante is patient, we're praying that Edo will be okay." I said.

"Thank you Nara. What exactly happened ?"

"It happened so fast auntie, I don't know for sure what happened as I recall there was a truck in front of our car." I'm trying to explain what happened, even though I don't remember what happened.

Someone walked from the hallway to the right of his steps toward us. A man in black stopped right in front of us me and Resa looked at each other who he was we didn't know.

It seems like the man is aunt Sonya's lover because the way she calls aunt Sonya is very friendly.

"Dear." Replied aunt Sonya hugging the man affectionately.

"Are you okay?" Ask the man.

"I'm fine, baby, my son's still in the doctor's office." Answer Aunt Sonya.

Resa and I just fell silent once in a while staring at two people who were on the verge of romance. Suddenly aunt Sonya had permission to say goodbye to us. He would go with the man, choosing to leave his son lying in the hospital.

"Resa Nara." Sahut aunty Sonya.

"Tante has to go first, please take care of Edo yaa."

Me and Resa just nodded. Then aunt Sonya and the man left us. What really happened is why the attitude of aunt Sonya as if she did not care about her son just like that and chose to go with the man.

"Gua buy a drink first, let you calm down." Resa.

"Jude."

Resa went to the cafeteria while I went down the hall, to the nurse's room but there was no one there. The doors leading to the IGD room were locked, as I tried to open them I looked around to find someone.

I walked to the area behind the nurse room, my eyes looking around until I finally found a button to open the door of the IGD room. I pressed the button and ran through the door that opened.

"Is there anything I can help you with?" Ask the nurse who came to see me in the hallway.

I kept running, until I finally arrived at the intersection and saw a signboard that told me that the patient's room was on the right, while the operating room was on the left. I turn left, I press the dindinv button to open it. Before the doors opened wide, I tried to push myself in, but a man pushed me out again.

"You can't get in here." Said.

"No! I have to go in." I tried to break through that guy.

It turned out that he was stronger than me, he pushed me up against the wall.

"You can't go in there."Said calm.

"I need to know if she's okay?"

The doctor leaned against the wall next to me. Both of his arms were put into his white coat pocket.

"He had a severe head injury that resulted in bleeding in his brain. It's too early to tell us more information. Before the surgery is completed in the patient. I intend to talk to the family. Do you want to pass this information on to your parents?"

"Okay doc, I'll tell his mother."

The doctor straightened his body and walked to the surgical room door, then pressed a button. He turned around just as the door opened.

"What's your name?" She asked.

"Nara."

The doctor looked into my eyes. "I'm Doctor Erwin." Said. "I will do everything I can to help him. Nara you better go back to the waiting room. I'll look for you when I get new news."

Dr. Erwin turned the body upside down and closed the door after he entered.

I slumped to the floor to gather back my strength.

Edo is alive.
