When I returned to the waiting room, there was Resa.
"Have you heard?" Ask Resa.
I'm nodding. "Edo in the operating room."
"How's condition?"
"He's still alive." My whisper.
I sat next to Resa, now it's too soon to know anything.
Resa reached out her hand to me pulling the tissue from the many boxes of tissue scattered in the middle of this room. Poked it at me.
We sit in silence. I closed my eyes, rethinking my conversation with the doctor. Is there a hint in his face? In voice? I know he knows more than what he told me. What if something happens to Edo? I can't afford to think about it. Edo must be fine. He should be fine.
Mom and Dad arrived in the hospital hallway walking up to me, I looked up and stood up. Mother hugged me tightly, seeing the look on her face that worried me so much.
"How come you're okay?" Ask me to worry.
"Nara's fine." Trying to calm him down.
"So I got a call from Resa, told you about the accident and mom went to the hospital. Your wounds must be treated back Nara."
"Yes mom, I'll deal with it."
I don't want to see mom and dad worried about seeing my condition now having a concussion. I can definitely handle everything I think about right now is Edo news.
"How's edo?" Ask dad.
"Edo in the operating room yeah." Answer me
"We go home, son, we rest at home." Bring dad.
"I have to take care of Edo well, kasian she's alone. Please allow Nara to accompany Edo well." I begged Dad to let me stay.
Mom and Dad looked at each other hinting at whether they would allow me here.
"Om Auntie, take it easy I'm here to accompany Nara. Don't worry." Sahut Reca's.
"Okay, I'll let you in here, but always tell me about mom and dad if anything happens." Father agreed.
"Mom will prepare your clothes later I send using ojek online."
"Thank you Mom's Dad."
I hugged them both how lucky I was to be given my dear old man. They stroked my hair, I loved my father and their mother was an unsung hero.
"Judah, Mom and Dad go home first."
"You're fine here, don't forget your wounds are cleaned."
"Ready dad."
Mom and Dad left me and they went home.
"Nara cave must go back first." Said Resa.
"Yes Res, it's okay."
"Lo it's okay the cave lives alone?"
"It's okay."
"Let's go back here again, it's your drink."
"Thank you."
Now I'm alone. I closed my eyes and leaned my head against the wall. I took a few deep breaths, but the pressure in my chest continued to increase.
I cobbed all that. I tried to hide all the distress, as Edo did, I couldn't bear it.
I lifted my hands to my face, and at once my crying broke. Not just crying, I was sobbing, roaring, screaming.
Instantly the nurse approached me she seemed worried to see how I was doing.
"I'm taking you to the break room, you seem very tired. I'll help clean the wound." Nurse.
I looked up as if I was obeying what the nurse was saying. To help me stand up and we walked into the treatment room.
I lay my body on the hospital bed every once in a while I let out a long sigh because from earlier my heart was in ruins.
The nurse came out after I finished treating my wounds. I went to the bathroom, splashed water on my face, when I heard someone talking at the door. Kuayun opened the bathroom door to find out if it was a doctor, but it was not that Resa had returned to the hospital but now she was not alone accompanied by her lover Dika. I came out of the bathroom to them both.
"Is it okay Nar?"
"Gua is fine."
"Hi Nara." Sapa Dika's.
I just smiled back at Dika's greeting. I'm putting my body back together. Resa and Dika were sitting in a chair. Resa brought me the food she bought earlier on the street before returning to the hospital. I also eat food that is carried by Resa, although my taste buds are not because it all feels bland in the mouth, I try to swallow it even a little.
My consciousness began to drift into the realm of sleep.
I was already asleep as someone shook my shoulders, I gasped up and circulated my gaze, hoping that someone would come along with some good news.
"Nara lo garus change clothes."
I lowered my gaze to my watch, now it's six in the morning. Why hasn't the doctor told me anything. I lowered my legs and walked to the bathroom door to change clothes.
After I finished changing clothes, I sat down next to Resa. Dika came to us while bringing breakfast food for us. We also had breakfast together.
I came out of the treatment room and went to the IGD room to find out information about Edo's condition. Dr. Erwin came out and went into the waiting room.
"Nara please come with me." Doctor Erwin jerked his head towards the hallway.
Doctor Erwin just said something after we got to the end of the hall. I was forced to jump my body by leaning against the wall, because I felt like I was about to faint.
"He made it through the operation, but we have not been able to conclude any certainty. Much bleeding. There's swelling too. I did what I could without having to throw away the bones of his skull. Now all we can do is keep trying, praying and waiting."
My heart is beating fast. It was hard to accept the reality, while there were many questions at the tip of my tongue.
"We still have to wait, especially? If he managed to survive, let alone the danger that was likely to occur?"
Doctor Erwin leaned against the wall next to me. We both looked at each other's feet, almost impressed as if trying to avoid having to look into my eyes.
"The brain is the most vulnerable organ in the human body, unfortunately we can not ascertain the exact location of the injury suffered by someone just by looking at the scan results. It's more like a waiting game, all we can do for now is sedate him. Hopefully tomorrow morning we'll have more information about the situation."
"May I look at him?"
Doctor Erwin sighed.
"Now it can't. He's still in recovery until the whole night. I'll let you know as soon as possible."
Dr. Erwin straightened his body and put his hand in his lab coat pocket.
"Is there another question?"
I looked at Doctor Erwin's eyes "A lot." My solute.
Doctor Erwin responded as if my answer had just been rhetorical and he left, leaving me.
I fell silent and seemed to not understand what to behave after knowing the state of Edo is quite severe.
