A woman in black was saying a word of prayer while placing a white rose on top of the now-closed tomb.
He felt sad but not like the people around him who had long been in a relationship with the deceased.
Only a month Fara knew the late. The atmosphere was very emotionally draining with all the lamentations and tears, in the midst of all this turmoil, someone important in life left her husband forever.
Among all the people closest to her, she was the one who received the least news of this grief, this woman was still young.
She has the brightest smile, the smile that can illuminate the darkest room, Fara was warmly received the first time they met, they talked and discussed the idea of an approved surrogate mother taking into account her pay.
Faradina is not as rich as they are. At first she is not interested, but she needs money to support her ailing mother, she is the only family left.
After a while of waiting and paying her respects, Fara followed the others. People quickly recognized her as a surrogate mother who was pregnant, Fara was taken to a small house that was used to welcome guests.
Fara sat in a corner waiting her turn to greet the woman in her mid-fifties who she thought was the mother of Almh Alena, they were very beautiful and without wrinkles. his eyes were filled with water as the others came to offer their condolences.
Faradina sat there waiting her turn, but accidentally fell asleep because there was nothing to talk to. Looks like Fara is tired of looking through Alena's parents' house, the house has all her pictures from toddler to adult, Alena is very beautiful.
He was still asleep when a soft voice sounded in his ears.
"Miss Faradina?,"
"Miss Fara?"
He heard again before opening his eyes and finding a woman waiting to meet, her face looking friendly, she smiled, even though her smile looked forced.
"My daughter told me a lot about you.... Can we talk? It's about the baby you're carrying.".the woman smiled again
"I-iya aunt". Fara stood facing him.
He led Fara to a corner a bit away from the scene, he tried to suppress his feelings before speaking, his voice sounding weaker and trembling like he was about to cry. the woman touches Fara's stomach trying to connect with the fetus inside her.
"What if you live here?? I want to take care of my daughter until she gives birth. I'm worried..your cage is very young".
He clenched his hands with all his might before biting his lips, a small arch was made on his forehead
"You yeah?? I'll raise the pay" he asked.
A rich old woman pleading for the safety of her late daughter's child is something Fara doesn't see every day.
He wanted to accept because he kept raising the price he wanted to give him, which was obviously different from the amount he should have received.
But, Fara felt guilty because she did this to protect something.she did this to protect something her daughter wanted.
"Good aunt" he said after so many pleas from her, "but my mother"
"Yes Fara I know, don't worry, she's safe protected and there's no danger to her, Auntie will also hire someone to meet her needs as long as you're with us"
"We??"
His attention was slowly distracted when a man with a loose shirt and a tie coiled around his neck, his pants completely dirty at the knees, like he was on his knees, and his steps were haggard.
Alena's mother leaves her to meet her and Fara follows her from behind. The man's appearance attracted the attention of the guests.
"Randy! Where are you from? And why are you....." He sniffed and closed his nose,
"Randy you smell alcohol, you drink?" He asked before closing his nose again.
"You think?" He almost lost his balance.
"You are the devil who never let Alena rest, and you call yourself my mother?" The man clasped the shoulder of the woman whom Fara believed to be Alena's mother.
"Are you happy now?" He asked before pushing her aside, making her fall to the ground then she just left.
Fara immediately ran to her side but someone first arrived, she wiped the tears from her eyes. Fara never knew she was her mother. She thinks she's Alena's parents.
Randy was so disrespectful, he treated his mother like that regardless of what she had done.
Having no host, the guests of the house started to leave quickly.when they came and they also went straight away, just conveying a sense of grieving.
.....
A week after Fara's first meeting with the father and mother of the child, they called. Fara thinks they forgot, they sent someone to pick her up.
They also left the nanny for her mother as promised.
They drove into a large house with very tight security, the building could be mistaken as a hotel, he said, Fara looked in awe as she drove through the garden that was at the side before they stopped at the house itself, there was someone waiting to open the door for her.
Fara thanked the man as he got out of the car.
She was brought in to see the inside of the more magnificent house, Randy's mother standing in front waiting to greet me.
"Welcome, baby," he hugged her and kissed her cheek. The woman turned to a woman beside her, "Call Randy, tell him, 'there's someone who wants to meet him".
"Fara let's sit down, think of it as your own home".
Faradina was truly touched by his kindness.
"What was so important that my work had to be interrupted" The cold figure said with a dragging, Fara's eyes struggling hard to see who she was, she slowly went down the stairs, away from the light.
"Come here son." said Randy's mother, she pushed her arm away, she smiled at Fara..
"Randy, this is Faradina, she's carrying your child"
