Arrive Late

Eilaria's heart was filled with a deep sense of unease. Didn't Iel just call her two hours ago and tell her they were leaving the hotel soon? Isn't the hotel distance to this place only 40 minutes? They should have arrived, right?

Eilaria looked from the room window. The decorated page is very beautiful. There was a wedding altar standing tall, waiting for the bride to stand there. The atmosphere out there is like a beautiful garden. Both of his brothers were waiting. Opa Ezekiel, Oma Faith, Opa Ben and Oma Maura. Everything is sitting sweet. Eil had contacted Iel but his phone was not picked up.

Gabriel looked at his mother. Giani smiled as he nodded.

"Ma, pa, let's sit there!" Take Jeronimo to Mama Sinta and papa Denny.

Behind them are Alexa and Oliver with their two children. The oldest is male and is named Azieel while the second is female is named Aurora. Alexa is a cousin of Gabriael and Gabrian.

Shortly thereafter, Eilaria came out accompanied by her father, Caleb Thomson. The man is happy and sad because he will release his daughter to be owned by others.

"First my son, Gabriel. Don't you waste his life" Caleb said before handing over Eil's right hand to be held by Gabriel.

"I am Gabriel Jeremi Dawson, taking Eilaria Megan Thomson as my rightful wife in the Lord. I will be faithful both in joy and sorrow, in abundance and in lack, in health and in sickness. I will continue to love you until death do us part" Gabriel said in a slightly trembling voice. He could not hold back his tears.

Eilaria couldn't hold back her sense of well-being. "I'm Eilaria Megan Thomson, accepting Gabriel Jeremi Dawson as my rightful husband in the Lord. I will be faithful both in joy and sorrow, in abundance and in lack, in health and in sickness. I will continue to love you until death do us part" said Eilaria.

Giani could not hold back his tears. Jeronimo sitting next to him immediately wrapped his hand on his wife's shoulder. "That was his desire to get married."

The ring blessed by the priest was inserted in each finger.

"Please open the veil and give your bride a Holy kiss." The priest said to Gabriel.

Gabriel's hand trembled as he opened the covering of the face of the woman who had now become his wife. He then kissed Eilaria's forehead very gently.

Applause was heard when the wedding was over. They then descend from the altar to perform the ritual of releasing a pair of doves as a symbol of true love.

A very lively wedding party even though only attended by the closest family.

"Auntie, where's Ian? Why didn't he come?" ask Alexa the other time while enjoying dinner.

Giani took a deep breath. He looked at Alexa with a million sorrows trying to contain him.

"So we were late because there was a small incident." Then Giani told me what happened.

"I don't think I'll see Stevany and Joselin here." Alexa wants to ask again but Oliver, Alexa's husband, calls her because Aurora is crying.

"Honey, maybe Aurora's thirsty. He wants to drink milk" Oliver said.

"Where's the milk bottle?"

"He doesn't want that milk, baby. He wants ASI."

"Aurora, where can mommy love breast when wearing tight dresses like gini."

"Eat him, next time do not wear a dress that is too tight. Want to show off the body, huh?" oliver said a little bit. Since then, he did not agree with the clothes his wife was wearing.

Alexa just smiled. He knows Oliver's character is not much different from Uncle Jero. They are very possessive of what is theirs.

"I borrow a room in the house?" pampit Alexa while taking Aurora from Oliver's sling.

Giani smiled at his older brother who has grown up since marriage. Will my son be like that?

As Grace lets go of her embrace, Caleb now hugs her daughter. "Don't forget to go back to London even if you're married to an Indonesian."

Opa Ezekiel and Oma Faith embraced their beloved granddaughter. "Opa and Oma will be lonely because surely your husband will not allow you to continue to join our tour" said Ezekiel.

Eil glanced at Gabriel who appeared to be calling someone. "She'll let me if I ask permission once in a while."

Oma Faith pinched her granddaughter's cheek in a fit of anxiety. "Don't delay pregnancy? Oma wants to have a great-grandchild."

"Ih...Oma, I just turned 20. Change if it's been 25 years."

"Darling, opa and Oma won't live forever. We're getting old. Do you want to...."

"Shhhh..." Eilaria silenced her mouth with her hand.

"Don't talk about death, Oma. Please don't!"

Faith hugged her grandson. "Take care of yourself, yeah. Enjoy the life of the house. Oma pray you will always be together until death do us part."

"Amen."

"Remember, Eil. In the Thomson family, there was never a divorce" Ezekiel said.

"I know, opa."

Eilaria called Gabriel because all her family would leave the place. Eil and Iel had agreed to spend a Sunday honeymoon in this place before they would travel around Indonesia.

After the Thomson family had all left, this time there was the Dawson family who was also about to leave.

Finally, there lived the bride and groom who were still standing in front of the terrace. Eilaria, who had changed her wedding dress to a maroon-red dress, wrapped her hands around her husband's arms.

"Iel, are we going in now?" ask Eil.

Gabriel nodded. The two enter together. Gabriel closed the door behind them.

"I'm going to take a shower? It feels sultry." Gabriel said as he rolled up his white shirt.

"Honey, where are you going to take a shower?" eil asked to look at Gabriel who was stepping towards the other room.

"In the room."

"Are we going to sleep in a different room?" ask Eil even with a red face to resist embarrassment.

"It's not. You also want to take a shower, right? So I'm in the bathroom that's just one."

"I took a shower when I changed clothes. After all, your clothes are already in our room."

Gabriel smiled. He stepped into the room following Eilaria.

As he raised his hand to take out his shirt, Gabriel grimaced.

"Darling, what's wrong?" ask Eil while approaching.

"It's okay."

"But why are you, my God, why?" eil shouted frantically as he saw a bandage on Iel's upper arm and a bruise on his chest. Eil helps Iel open his shirt and the girl cries.

"Darling, what's the matter?" eil asked while holding the bandage on Iel's upper arm and shoulder. His chest looked bruised and there were other small scars.

"I'm fine."

"How could this be okay? Tell me what's up, Iel? Is this what's making you late?"

"I'm fine" she said, then went to the bathroom.

Eilaria was stunned to see the door closed by Iel. He was not satisfied with Iel's answer.
