Twin Promises (part 2)

Gerry was waiting for Gabriel not far from the villa. He was shocked when Gabriel called. Gerry was in town but he was investigating something important.

"Sir, what's going on?" gerry asked, looking at Gabriel's pale face.

"Bottom me to the hospital, Gerry. I can't take it anymore."

Gerry immediately took over the wheel then headed to one of the hospitals in the city. He also called Gabriel's parents who were in the hospital because Gabrian had been transferred from the health center to a hospital that had complete treatment facilities.

When Giani saw his son, he almost fell unconscious. He did not expect that Iel was holding back the pain during the wedding procession.

The doctor immediately gave a quick treatment.

"His chest and head had a very hard impact. Should have been in an accident he was immediately brought here. His condition is very critical. We need blood transfusions and surgery. Hopefully it's not too late." Said Dr. Anggara who handled Gabriel.

Giani felt his world was about to collapse. Fortunately Jero immediately hugged his wife.

"I have the same blood type as my son." Jero.

"Me too" said Gabrian.

"Your own condition has not made it possible to donate blood to your brother." Doctor Anggara said.

A nurse entered the doctor's office. "Doc, the patient wants to see his twin brother."

Gabrian rushes to the ICCU room followed by Giani and Jero.

Gabriel lay weakly with various treatment tools attached to his body.

The eyes of the two twin brothers looked at each other lovingly. Gabrian felt his chest ache when he saw Gabriel's dimmed gaze.

"What's up, Iel?" gabrian asked, holding Gabriel's right hand.

"To..long replace me...."

"meaning?"

"Make Iel for Eil."

"No, Iel. We can't fool Eilaria. She loves you."

Gabriel smiled sweetly. "The one Eil loves is actually you. You're the one he first met when you collided in front of the elevator. You're the one he saw 5 years later at London airport. And I also know that you love Eilaria."

"But Iel it's just...."

"I read the letter you inserted in the novel."

Gabrian's face became sad. He shook. "Eil loves you and all your personality."

Gabriel coughing. He then groaned to endure the pain. At the corner of his lips was blood coming out.

"Don't say much first, Iel" Gabrian said as he took a tissue and cleaned the blood at the corner of Iel's lips.

"If I don't survive, and if I'm in a coma don't ever say anything to Eil. She's a fragile girl. He'll die if I die too. Be me, Ian. I beg!"

"But....."

"I beg....! Be me. And tell the truth when the time comes. Make it so that Eil loves you now that you bring him to my grave later."

"Don't say that, Iel. You'll be healed!" .

"I know my condition is bad...." Iel again spewed out fresh blood.

"Doctor.....!" gabrian shouted in panic while Giani immediately fainted when he saw the condition of his son. Jeronimo immediately hugged his wife's body and took her away before Iel saw the state of her mother.

The doctors and nurses approached. Gabriel still held Ian's hand.

"Set up the operating room. We have to operate it now!" doctor Angara said.

2 The nurse immediately put the okaigen into Gabriel's mouth. Gabriel opened it while looking at Gabrian.

"promise. Make me die in peace." asked Gabriel in an increasingly weak tone of voice.

"Iel me..."

"I beg you."

"All right, I promise."

"YES.....! Iel.....!" Gabrian Shouting.

Two nurses hold Gabrian's body, which hugs his twin brother. While the others directly pushed Gabriel's cage towards the operating room.

Gabrian felt his body go limp. It is like losing strength. He doesn't want to lose Iel. Iel is part of his life. Gabrian slowly weakened and eventually fainted.

The nearly 5-hour operation was finally completed. Doctor Anggara who is a different expert doctor came out with a tired face.

"How, doc?" asked Giani impatiently. The face of the woman in her 40s looks chaotic with puffy eyes.

"I'm sorry. Gabriel's a little late for surgery so Gabriel may never wake up until all the vital organs in his body don't work and he's probably dead at worst."

"No.....! This is impossible....!" yelled Giani while covering his mouth with both hands. Jero quickly hugged his wife as well as Joselin and Stevany immediately hugged while crying.

As for Gabrian, it still stood with a blank look. He also felt that his heart was dead.

"The patient will be transferred to the treatment room tomorrow morning. So for now, you can't see it. I suggest that you go home and rest tomorrow morning just come back" Anggara said before leaving the Dawson family.

There was Gerry there who was also visibly devastated by their conversation.

"I don't want to lose my son, Bee. I'd rather die if Iel dies too. I can't, Bee. My son should now be happy because he just got married." Giani said in Jeronimo's arms.

"Prophey darling. We leave everything to God. You always say that nothing is impossible for God. The doctor can say anything but Iel's life is in God's hands." comfort Jeronimo while rubbing his wife's shoulders. He knew that Giani would do anything for his children.

Joselin approached his mother. "Mommy, mommy better get back to the hotel first. Mommy's gonna be sick. Mommy hasn't eaten either."

"How can mommy eat if your sister is on the verge of death. Mommy's not strong, Selin."

Joselin hugged his mother. And Stevany too.

"Darling, what Joselin said is true. Since noon you haven't eaten. You will be sick later. How will you be strong to take care of Iel if you are sick?" ask Jero.

"Mommy, let's eat. We'll take care of Iel's sister until she's healed. I was sure that my handsome and nosy brother would be cured. He promised to keep me and Selin's sister from the bad guys that would bother us."

Gabrian looked at papa, his mother and his two younger siblings. There was a sense of regret in his heart during these few years he was more in London for pursuing the first love of his life. For years he searched for the existence of Eilaria in London turned out that the girl lived in Jakarta.

When he saw Eilaria at the airport, he wanted to hug the girl but his responsibilities as the leader of the group made him have to leave the girl. When Gabrian was willing to let go of Eil for Iel, the accident happened.

Gabrian wiped his tears. "Mother, go back to the hotel. I'll stay here."

"What about your wounds?" ask Giani.

"It's just a normal wound, mother. Iel had a bump because he didn't wear a seatbelt. So, I'll be fine, all right." Gabrian smiling. He tried to strengthen his mother.

"alright. Let me know if there's any change to Iel, huh?" Giani looked at her husband. "Bee, let's just move to a hotel near this hospital."

"All right!"

Gerry approaching. "I'll book a room for you all." He said and left immediately.

The night is getting late. Gabrian stood in front of the glass window. Looking at his twin sister who looked silent with a pale face.

"Sir.....!"

Gabrian. "Gerry's? You haven't come home yet?"

"Master Iel's phone is with me. Miss Eil has called and texted several times. I had to deactivate the phone."

Gabrian received the phone with a troubled feeling. He remembered his promise to Gabriel. Should he be Iel to Eil?

"There's one more problem, sir. I'm here to look for the whereabouts of the chief financial devision of the company. There was a falsification of documents involving Mr. Gabriel in the construction of a government building. The company is actually in a bad state right now."

"What's? How come?"

"Master Gabriel trusted others too much so this is how it ends."

Gabrian rubbed his face rough. He looked at Gerry. "Please take care of everything. Don't tell anyone about my sister's condition. I'm gonna be Gabriel for a while. I can trust you, right?"

"With all my soul, sir. I will be loyal to the master as I am loyal to the lord Gabriel."

Gabrian. He sat with his head slightly throbbing. The problem of Iel company is quite heavy but the toughest is to be Iel for Eil. Is he capable?
