Unknown Baby

Unknown Baby
Basket

Unlike the upper floor room belonging to Myesha, the bottom of the house belonged to Faiq so neat and diligent. It looks like how much the man is keeping clean.

Drizzling rain outside, Myesha wiped the water stuck to the shirt after putting the baby basket on the table. Faiq approached, looking at the baby that made him surprised it was closer.

Tiny, small and red cheeks. Faiq believes the age of this baby is not even two weeks.

"Who's the crazy guy who dumped this baby? No responsibility whatsoever."

Myesha grumbled as she cleaned her glasses that were hit by raindrops.

"Surely that person is not sane. He thinks this is an orphanage. I'll call lurah."

Faiq walked to his room, turned on the lights before picking up the phone.

Meanwhile Myesha looked around, the living room painted in pastel colors. Photos of Faiq during graduation are displayed there along with parents who smiled brightly. There was a vase of flowers on the table, looking fresh and fragrant. Myesha got rid of it because it was too close to the baby basket. He walked over and placed the vase on top of a small closet where the shoes were.

The tiny baby cried again, making Myesha approach to take a closer look. The sound of a loud cry made Faiq hurriedly turn on his phone. He could not stand it because his calmness was disturbed.

"Poor little baby. Cup cup." Myesha tried patting the baby lightly. But her crying would not stop.

"He won't be quiet if you pat like that, try carrying." Faiq walked over after closing the door of his room.

"I can't carry a baby, Mom. What if it's wrong?"

"It won't be wrong as long as you don't throw it baby."

Hearing that Myesha convinced herself that she could hold the tiny baby. Slowly his hand went in and raised the tiny baby that was held very carefully. Closer to his embrace to be overwritten.

"I'm gonna call lurah to take this baby."

"Yes, hurry."

Just now his phone is ringing connect to lurah. Their house doors were knocked. Time showed almost twelve nights. Who visits these nights? And again the voice outside was heard by not just one or two people.

"I was just about to call Mr. Lurah. We found a baby in front of the house, sir." Faiq.

Mr. Lurah's face looked angry, people were staring at Faiq sharply as Faiq pointed at the baby Myesha was carrying.

"Oh, yeah. Please come in first. Outside the rain."

Faiq stepped aside and let Mr. Lurah, Mr. RT and some residents into his house. Their faces were irritatedly staring at Faiq and Myesha.

"I didn't initially believe the citizen reports that you were gathering kebo until you had a child. But after seeing directly like this I as a lurah cannot stay silent." Mr. Lurah looked disappointed.

"Doctor, but no ethics." This time Mr. RT added and sneered at him.

"You humiliated this suburb. You are shameless." Blasphemous voices from other residents were heard.

Myesha who heard that approached. He was still holding a baby who was now much calmer than before.

"Wait this misunderstanding. This baby is not our baby." Faiq tried to explain.

"You misunderstood. We found this baby outside the house." This time Myesha spoke.

Although it was explained, their faces were still in disbelief. Mr. Lurah approached the baby basket. He and Mr. RT tried to find evidence in the baby basket on the table.

There's a necklace tucked in there. They read it the initials written on the love-shaped necklace. Then get angry.

"You guys are really outrageous. It's wrong instead of being fixed to throw away this innocent baby." Mr. RT pointed at Faiq and Myesha in turn. It makes the two humans more confused.
